And bad hair (note to self: pack hat). And wet sneakers. But, heck, a rainy day at WDW, and a rainy week on a cruise ship for that matter, sure beats any day that isn't vacation!
The most long range forecast that I put any creedence into is 5 days, and even then there is much room for error (that I could be wrong more than 50% of the time and still keep my job). I will, however, admit to watching the storms coming off the African coast right now. Oh, and checking the long range forecast for Castaway Cay. Only up to August 24th right now, but looking good!
10 day forecast saying it will be 83 (that's about 23 (I think) for our Canadian and European friends) and partly cloudy in NYC on Saturday, August 23. Perfect. Let's hope it stays that way!
Had to take the back to the vet today. He's now on antibiotics for 7 days If he doesn't start to perk up i the next few day, Bob may not go

It's becoming hard to be excited about the trip. I have to get all of our pre-trip stuff done (plus try to fit in time to go set up my classroom - oh and P.S. - found out they might be transferring me to another building - AGAIN - so now i'm like, should i not set up my classroom before we leave? )
In the back of my head i keep thinking it might just be me and DD going (also trying not to think about the $$$$)
Please kitty cat ...please get better
I am so excited! Only six days to go! My husband and I went on Friday to Manhatten to see the Magic leave. It was awesome! We heard the horn go off with the music to "When you wish upon a star" and we even heard the music to the Sailaway party! Lots of people were at the pier to see the ship leave. Everyone loved the ship! I can't wait to actually go on it for the first time.
I'm working at home today, so I intend to get alot of laundry done today. My family is making me laugh, they keep asking if it is OK to wear this or that, like I'm not going to be doing laundry all week .
Watching the tropics. That disturbance that could be Tropical Storm Issac seems to be staying south of our cruise route, and for that matter seems to be "inhibited" from developing. Fingers and toes crossed!
I worked all weekend and yesterday was my last shift of work before vacation! Now I will have no excuse for my DH when I'm not ready for Saturday, with all week to pack. I really have to get a fire lit under me, get off the Disboards, and get packing!!
On a more positive note, the trip is still a surprise for my kids. We told them that on our way to Niagara Falls(our fake vacation destination), we will be going to see the Statue of Liberty in NYC on Saturday. Imagine their surprise when we get to the port and instead of seeing a ferry for the Statue of Liberty, they see the Magic.
