Last year - I saw one other family doing a back to back with us .... so we ended up in the pool with one other family ........ I am really pleased to be doing a back to back with so many families this time around -

Can't wait! DVC members since 2004 and just returned from glorious 1 week in WDW. But this will be our first cruise, so a little overwhelmed. Will definately be doing a B2B to HH after but may do a double B2B by adding WDW days on front end.

We are 4 - DH, DtwinD's turning 12 the day we end cruise, and me. Also joining us will be SIL, BIL, neice (8), plus Grandma & Grandpa.

Have to run the fish extender thing past everyone but sounds like lots of fun!

Looking forward to meeting all! Thanks so much for organizing Karin.

My fam of 5 is on this cruise- 1st timers here. I have a DD14, DS13,DS11- should we do the fish extenders? Would my aged kids like this?
If I understand it, you make/buy something to hang outside your door and people put in little gifts? Then you go around and put gifts into other extenders?
Do I have this right?
We can't wait for this trip-

The FE exchange is what you said Michelle. There are some of the message threads around that are just about Fish extenders. You can get ideas on those about what and how by doing a Fish Extender Search. Maybe Diz has a link?

I think I enjoyed FEs more that my 15 yo. Son, If its not an Itouch app or video game ....it takes a lot to get him excited. But he did like the edible treats most in the FE's...and looked for those frequently. Its all in good fun ...

We had such a wonderful time - the weather was ........ A W E S O M E !!!!!!!! It was so nice and warm - we even spent time in the pool! In FEBRUARY!!!!!!!!!!

So sad to be back ....... but we had a wonderful vacation!

Were you at WDW during President's Week? We were too! Wasn't the weather wonderful?
We are doing a 3 part vacation this summer too - will stay at OKW for 8 nights, then do 3 Dream cruises and go back to OKW for another 9 nights. I cannot wait! ..... for the vacation and for meeting so many new friends!

I am really happy that you and your family will join us on this cruise.
You are going to love DCL! We went on our "once in a lifetime" cruise in 2009 and are doing cruises no 4, 5 and 6 this summer!

As for FE - you either get one from ebay or make it yourself. What you put in the FE is up to you - if you go back to the beginning of my thread I posted some photos of our "loot" last summer.
It depends on you, if you give a one time gift or do several small gifts over the course of the cruise.
Tom and I love to deliver one small gift every day - we use it as our "exercise" to explore the ship!

Whatever you do, IF you decide to join, just let me know, so I can add you to the list!

Whoops! Missed a few posts! SORRYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!

First Disney cruise for us. (well, actually I cruised disney when it was the big red boat) Husband decided to open his wallet (doesn't happen often) after I booked a 3 day ..He said why don't we do the 4 day? No such luck. Totally booked. Hopefully he loves it so much and decides to dust off his wallet in the future
It will be me, DH 39, DS 11, DD 9, DD7
Have to read a little more about Fh. Sounds interesting but a lot of work??

Can you believe that those cruises are sold out about half a year before they sail? Must be all that pixie dust on those ships!

The fish extenders don't have to be a lot of work. We've seen a wide variety in creation of the actual fish extender from super customized and fancy to more streamlined and classic. They both hold surprises equally as well, so don't let that worry you. Also, for the gifts themselves, not everything is handmade, time consuming or expensive. Sometimes the simplest gift of a chapstick really helps someone out in your group! We hope you join us for the FE, it'll be my first time trying to make a fish extender, so we'll see how it goes.

I make my own FE and it takes me about an hour to do it!
They are so much fun! We LOVED all our cruises and FE exchanges!

I got my Fish extender from a woman on Ebay.....
I am not much of a sewing person.... hems and boy scout badges is the limit for me...so i did not mind paying for a nice one at all. She put the sorcerer Mickey on it I wanted and our names and my saying...very cool!

Last cruise was my first ever FE participation....ummmm it was a transatlantic and I delivered over 120 handmade bookmarks .... OMG way to get my feet wet huh? It was really fun though. Coming back to the room and finding little treats

I also did a one on one gift exchange like secret santa...that was cool too.

We had lanyards too (but I didnt wear it...just saved it..I don't wear lanyards or florescent shirts LOL)

We had some seriously good organizers for that trip (I really appreciated them all) ....all I did is round up the cougar patrol Long and funny story

It's our first cruise too, and we definitely thought we'd do the FE exchange. DD9 and DD11 think it's a brilliant idea!

We'll be on this B2B as well - this is our first leg We are cruising for our 10th anniversary and have a whole pile of people in tow! My in-laws, my parents, my SIL, BIL & fam, and my other SIL & BIL. And we have friends joining us for the 2nd leg - they couldn't get on this one! I don't know how we are going to make it to August! We are so excited - this is our first cruise, so hopefully we like cruising!

It would be wonderful if we could just drive there and spend a long weekend, but with the airfare from Europe we're lucky if we can squeeze in 2 trips a year!

Tom and I love to make little presents and give them out daily, but I am not so sure we can manage it this summer - too long on the ship and too many cabins, but we will try - it is just so much fun!

I guess I need to set aside a suitcase for our give aways! AND we are staying in the US for 4 weeks, so I guess it was a good decision to book OKW - love my washer and dryer there!
We had a lot of stuff last year and it will be a lot more this summer!
But doing FEs is such a fun thing to do ..... we love it!
