August 25, 2011

We've been watching the availability fluctuate as well. There are two open options right now but it changes by the minute it looks like. We booked yesterday in case it really did sell out.

the cruise has been selling out all month so far. everyday i check and every other day it either has rooms available or it is sold out completely. that means that rooms are either cancelling or people are not putting their deposit down in enough time to keep hold of the room. im actually surprised about this date being so popular. :rotfl:

Very excited as we decided to treat ourselves and have upgraded from 11B to 5A :yay:
It's GTY so our cabin will be a surprise! The cruise is sold out though, we just kept checking and I guess someone cancelled.

We were lucky enough to be able to switch the other day, because I saw a picture of what our balcony would have been in our room, 5188 (sooo tiny!:scared1:) and we got upgraded to 5A with GTY as well. Maybe we'll be neighbors! :)

Karin, just realized you are at WDW now! Lucky you! :cool1:
Hope you have a great time!

Very fun! Yes, I hope she gets hooked on Disney as well. We all met 10 years ago at Disney, so it should be a great time.

We were in 7028, Verandah, port side, deck 7. The room was small but once you were inside, it felt big. We left the verandah door open when we were in the room, so it helped add some extra space.

As for deck 10, the only negative comment I heard was towards the end of the sailing when a lady mentioned she woke up to them power washing the pool deck above her. It wasn't too loud, just an unusual noise and she fell back asleep.

I'd think deck 10 would be nice for the views and also being close to the pool deck and all of the outdoor decks to walk and lounge on!

Thank you for your thoughts on deck 10! When we booked more than half a year ago we never thought about what was above (or beyond) our stateroom! :lmao:
And I really love that it is close to the outdoor decks! :thumbsup2

I was telling my DD about the FE, after reading about it this past weekend...she was so excited, saying "I'm going to get gifts?!?!"

We already started planning ours!!!

And as far as getting addicted to Disney cruising, we haven't even gone yet, and she is already asking if we can go next year, on the Fantasy!

Yip, your DD is going to get gifts and lots of them! We had such a blast last summer! And since we were quite a group there was nearly always something in our extender when we got back! Plus we could hear people talking outside about HOW you got something "so special". ;)

Just thought I'd let you know...the 8/25 cruise is SOLD OUT! I had to call my TA because my cousin was wondering about coming along with her kids. She told me there are no rooms left! And then said how lucky I was to have booked so far in advance! :cool1:

I could not believe it and had to check myself and low and behold it IS sold out. Occasionally a category pops up again, but there is not much to choose from! And we are more than 6 1/2 months out!!!!!!!!!!

:woohoo: for upgrading!
5a is a verandah stateroom, isn't it? They are so neat! I am not a morning person, but we were up for sunrise each and every day! Nothing better than sunrise on the ocean! :thumbsup2

It's so unbelieveable that more than 6 months before the cruise there are only "a few" if even that, available!
Only Disney can do that! ;)

I check every day too! :rotfl2: We sailed the same time frame in 2010 and it was sold out too! They even had a poster put up saying something like - don't ask for upgrades, we are sold out! :scared1:

If you are a 5a - you should be on deck 9 or 10! We could be neighbours too!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:

Well, we are not quite there yet! ;) Still have a week to wait! But next Saturday we will be on a plane to WDW!! :yay: :dance3:

Sunrise? Wow what time is that in August? Maybe I should set my alarm! Don't get the chance to see that everyday!
Could be a few of us on deck 10 by the sounds of it, just have to wait and see.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to be on deck 10!! :thumbsup2
It would be so cool to have some DIS neighbours!

We left the curtain open and I always woke up right before sunrise - can't remember what time, but I think it was before 6am. We would see the sun rise and then head back to bed! :lmao:

Wow! Now that's what I call bargain tickets! Congratulations!!!!

First Disney cruise for us. (well, actually I cruised disney when it was the big red boat) Husband decided to open his wallet (doesn't happen often) :rotfl2:after I booked a 3 day ..He said why don't we do the 4 day? No such luck. :confused3:love:Totally booked. Hopefully he loves it so much and decides to dust off his wallet in the future:love:
It will be me, DH 39, DS 11, DD 9, DD7
Have to read a little more about Fh. Sounds interesting but a lot of work??
Can't wait Disney is my air.:cool2:princess:princess:

The fish extenders don't have to be a lot of work. We've seen a wide variety in creation of the actual fish extender from super customized and fancy to more streamlined and classic. They both hold surprises equally as well, so don't let that worry you. Also, for the gifts themselves, not everything is handmade, time consuming or expensive. Sometimes the simplest gift of a chapstick really helps someone out in your group! We hope you join us for the FE, it'll be my first time trying to make a fish extender, so we'll see how it goes. :)

Welcome :goodvibes Toniann and family!

I got my Fish extender from a woman on Ebay.....
I am not much of a sewing person....:scared1: hems and boy scout badges is the limit for me...so i did not mind paying for a nice one at all. She put the sorcerer Mickey on it I wanted and our names and my saying...very cool!:thumbsup2

Last cruise was my first ever FE participation....ummmm it was a transatlantic and I delivered over 120 handmade bookmarks ....:scared1: OMG way to get my feet wet huh? It was really fun though. Coming back to the room and finding little treats

I also did a one on one gift exchange like secret santa...that was cool too.

We had lanyards too (but I didnt wear it...just saved it..I don't wear lanyards or florescent shirts LOL)

We had some seriously good organizers for that trip (I really appreciated them all) ....all I did is round up the cougar patrol :cool1: Long and funny story:)

The snow is melting ...:yay:

It's our first cruise too, and we definitely thought we'd do the FE exchange. DD9 and DD11 think it's a brilliant idea!
