August 24, 2014 Dream DVC Member Cruise

Thank you for your reply! I just wanted to make sure we do what's right. We will bring some extra anyway:)

I recently made a 2-night stay at VWL for before the cruise, and I am considering adding 2 more days to it. Is anyone interested in doing any meets before the cruise? I was thinking a lounge would be nice, like Territory Lounge. Some drinks, conversation, the geyser, the Electrical Water Pageant. I wish I was there to do that today! Anyone interested??

We are also staying at VWL. We are there the week before, Sunday to Sunday. Haven't stayed there since 2008, so we are excited to be back there.

It would be great meeting up with some fellow Member Cruise passengers.

I'm getting to BLT the day before the cruise, and hope to meet some DVCers at the TOTW lounge to see the Fireworks!

Kendzee -- just wondering if you might add the two informal gatherings to the main page, and the Facebook page, once they firm up? One for VWL, and the other for the "You Too Can Meet The Famous Bobbiwoz" meet and greet at the top of Bay Lake Tower. :thumbsup2 Maybe others at other resorts might be inspired to do the same?

I'll be at WDW with DD for a week before the cruise, and she has that Wilderness Salad from Roaring Forks booked into the schedule for a couple of meals. We'll be riding the boat from the Contemporary regularly! We just might make both gatherings!

:lmao:

As you say, it's an easy boat ride, we can meet at VWL, ride over to TOWL afterwards!:goodvibes. I am a Wilderness Salad fan as well!

Pretty pretty please with pixie dust on top. If you are part of the family #2 group or teen group - can you please post or message me with favorite characters (here or FB page). Starting to work on gifts and I'd like them to be extra special.
We are so excited to finally be able to go on the MC. Just 147 days to go!!!!
Thanks,
Monica

Has spring finally sprung where you are?

Daffodils are finally blooming here!:flower3:

Spring is still struggling to make an appearance here! Saw the last remnants of a gross snow pile in a parking lot today, too. It's close though!!!!

Dear Barbara,

Thank you for booking another Disney Cruise Line vacation! We're as excited as you are that you're joining us for our Bahamian cruise. As you know, there's a whole lot of fun and enchantment coming your way, so look for future emails from us that will help make planning your voyage as easy as it is enjoyable.

I booked the cruise on the booking day, yet this just came today! it is referring to the Members Cruise. Anyone else get the message?

Bobbi:laughing:

Got the email today also.

I wonder what the thinking was. We leave in 2 weeks for our stay before the Westbound Panama Canal Cruise, and originally I thought the note was to psych me up for that!:dance3: as if I could be more psyched, 15 nights on Disney's Wonder!:goodvibes

I received the e-mail, too. I was hoping it might provide additional information, but it is just links to the DCL website. Does anyone know the actual itinerary? The website shows Nassau and CC, but I am sure this was a cruise with 2 CC stops.

We recently sailed on the Magic at the end of March. It took the captain 3 tries to get into CC due to high winds and currents. We finally made it off the ship about 1 or 1:30 pm and stayed an extra hour, departing at 6 pm. 1/2 a day at CC is better than no day at all!

Here's to smooth sailing on the member cruise! :drinking1 :beach: :drinking1

We were told months ago that DCL was going to correct the itinerary online at some point - hopefully it will get done when it comes to pre-book CC activities, etc. It's 2 stops at CC with a day at sea sandwiched in between.

Never had a problem docking at CC on past cruises (knock on wood). On one trip though a wicked storm came in late in the day (DS and I were way out there on the waverunner excursion, too :scared1:) and the ride back to Port Canaveral was one of the roughest I can remember!!

They need to correct it by 4/26 so that Concierge Level guests & Platinum Level Castaway Members can book. The clock is ticking.

That soon??

We are Gold Castaway and our booking window opens 5/11 (105 days prior to sail date). Concierge Staterooms and Platinum Castaway can book 120 days prior to sail date. We are currently 136 days out from sailing.
