I booked directly with dcl. The documents came via UPS, it doesn't seem like alot to fill out, so I can't figure out why so many people don't fill it out prior to arriving at port.

Thanks Cynthia, will be on the lookout for the Big Brown Truck!!! He is usually around our area in the early afternoon.

I booked with DCL too. it will be interesting to see how long it takes to get mine.

Not mine, but my SIL & BIL, Pam & Tom's arrived yesterday in Rhode Island....

Hopefully ours aren't too far behind!

That's a good sign, waiting to hear who else have gotten theirs.

I just said to DH during dinner, "I wonder if we'll get our cruise documents today, because according to the 8-23 cruise thread some people got theirs already". DH proceeds to say, "oh ya I forgot to tell you we got them yesterday and I hid them from you. ha ha ha!" I'm going to kill him! Don't be surprised if I show up single for the cruise!

Anyway, it's great to have them long before we leave for vacation but didn't really see anything new and exciting that I don't already know from reading this board. I was also surprised that there wasn't a lot to fill out. From the way some people talk on these boards, I thought there was going to be some long and complicated forms to fill out but there is only a few very short ones. I'm glad about that!

I was getting ready to go to the bank earlier today and I saw the Big Brown Truck slowly approaching towards me, I sat in the car, not wanting to move, filling up with excitement, as the truck stopped across the street from me, I said to myself, "Our docs are here, our docs are here!!!" The driver got out of the truck carrying a package and delivered to the house across the street, the driver got back in his truck, and drove away, what a bummer, no docs for us this weekend.

I was out with my DH and My younger son walking tonight, and I saw the UPS truck pulling into our development-I got so excited, I wanted to run home. When we finally got back from our walk, I checked everywhere for one of those yellow slips that tells you that you missed the UPS guy, none to be found. I called my older son down from where he was lying sick in bed and asked him if the doorbell rang, he said no
I was so disappointed, I was hoping our docs would arrive so I would have something to look at this weekend. Oh well, better luck next week!

No We have not gotten them yet....we saw 2 UPS trucks go by yesterday, I believe the docs will come by FedEx though, and no docs ....we should all have them by the end of next week as by then it will be less than 30 days before the cruise date......we've made our ressies through DVC for the last 3 years and they have always been pretty much on the money by getting them to us w/n 30 days of the cruise....so be on the lookout next week !!

We've been watching for both UPS and FedEx, one of our fellow cruisers got their docs this week and theirs were delivered by UPS. I was talking with somone the other day, and they told me they got their docs from the USPS.

Just 5 more weeks to go, it's getting close now!!! We can't wait!!!

Andy, were you going to try and stop by after the life jacket drill, and before the sail away party, on deck 9 behind Topsiders and say hello at the DISmeet? I have been making a "little souvenir" for the DIS'ers that are on our Aug. 23rd cruise list. If you would like to be included on our cruise list, let me know. I want to make sure I have enough trinkets to hand out.

I guess I should have checked with DW before posting how the docs will arrive.....according to her, DCL changed carriers from FedEx to UPS, therefore, be on the lookout for Brown to deliver them.....What can Brown do for you ???? DELIVER MY DOCS.....THAT'S WHAT !!!

I was just reading a post on another thread, and that person said that her docs arrived by Priority Mail today. I don't care how they get here, just as long as they get here!!!

ARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I can't take this....I want my docs now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am not sure whether I should look for the UPS truck, the FedEx truck, the USPS truck or what??????? I am so afraid they will come when we are not home and something will happen to them!!!!

Here's the big question....What are you all doing to help pass the time waiting for you docs? I mean when you are not peering through the blinds, ready to attack anyone in uniform who comes to your door!!

Our DD went to a birthday party this evening, the father of the birthday girl, is also our UPS driver, I felt like jumping in his face, and wanted to ask him where my docs were, but I didn't want to embarrass my DD, AGAIN!!! LOL!!!

Andy, at this point, I think such behavior is warranted. It should not be an embarrassment to your daughter, but a moment of pride in her dad. This is not something to be taken lightly, these are out cruise documents!!!! I say, GO FOR IT!!!!!! And ask him where mine are while you're at it.
Okay, I think we all have to report in first thing when ours arrive, so the rest of us know to expect them too.

Can you tell I am getting tense waiting? Thank God I am working tomorrow, I don't know if I can handle another day sitting by the window.

Three people from our cruise have already reported receiving their docs.
