August 22nd 2009 Western Carribbean Anyone?

I am getting confused with this website. I have a hard time finding out how to get back on after I am off.

I want to be part of any get together you are all having. I looked at the "Asterflorist" website, but couldn't figure out how to get my info on it.

I am horrible with computers. I even tried to get a nice countdown clock that i saw. I failed. I will keep trying.

I will keep working on everything but, I definitely do want to be added in to any meet that you have.

Thanks
Dawn::confused:

I figured out how to get an avatar!! yipee

My kids know more about computers than I do.
They must get it from DH.

I have no avatar, sig, or countdown clock.

I started making the FE exchange gift. We are making paperbag scrapbooks.(1 per cabin).

I thought that Marina was going to help me. She started to make one and decided she was going to turn it into a get well card.

I folded and hole punched paper bags for 2 hours last night and my shoulder is sore.

I have a lot of work ahead of me still. It is a good thing that I have 5 months to finish them.

Christi - coming out West is a great idea! If you enjoy the great outdoors, I couldn't stop recommending Yellowstone. It is an incredibly beautiful park I would be happy to spend a month backpacking through. For a real outdoor experience, there is an operator in West Yellowstone, MT that does camping trips with llamas. This way you get to see the places only backpacking will allow you to go, but the llamas carry the load.

Then again, if you would prefer to passively look, check out Alaska cruises. I am hoping in 2011 Disney moves one boat to the west coast and tries an Alaska itinerary for three or four months.

Everybody - if you don't have travel insurance yet and have any preexisting conditions, we are less than five months out. I have seen insurance offered that excludes preexisting conditions for 90 or 120 days after purchase, so buy soon!

I was bored at work, so I just went through the various categories on our cruise to see what was available. Of course, cat 1-3 suites have been sold out for a long time. The number of people who can afford and want a suite is much larger than the number of suites, so no surprise here.

Inside staterooms: Cat 12 and 11 are gty only, but you can choose cat 10 staterooms. This tells me people who want to save money by not paying for a porthole don't think the split bathroom is worth the extra money.

Outside staterooms: Both cat 9 and 8 are gty only. Natural light and a view are important to a lot of people, but I guess not that many can afford or want to pay extra for a private balcony.

Veranda staterooms: Categories 7-4 all have enough staterooms available for customers to choose their room.

So if you know somebody who wants to join your cruise, and they want to choose a stateroom, they have a choice between deluxe inside and a veranda.

I can't wait for the middle of June. For the last two months before our trip I have enough stuff planned to keep very busy, but right now time is crawling by!

I believe cat 1-3 are not available to book online so you won't know if sold out or not, but not certain. Just never seen 1-3.

They are not available through the Disney website, but when I look at other travel websites they say suites are sold out.

I am hoping somebody reschedules or cancels. If there is a chance for an upgrade I will be at the port before they open. Otherwise I will probably show up at around 12:30.

Hi there everyone! Booked a while ago but just found the time to search you guys out. This will be our second Disney Cruise and our first Western. Participated in a meet up on the last cruise and had a great time.
Traveling with dh and 11 yr old ds and dd that will turn 10 on the cruise.
We do the door decorating thing etc...Need to double check on our resy but I believe we are on the same deck as the kids clubs...anybody in the vacinity???
Flying down from Northern NJ that morning on the 6:30 am flight out of Newark..anyone else????

Yes, that's me!!!! Just finishing up physical therapy from that surgery. I'll admit that skiing has slowed the recovery. But it was the reason for the surgery in the first place.

That 4-night Wonder cruise was terrific. What a great group of passengers and DISers.

DD still wears her DIS shirt from that cruise.
Wow that is a lot of PT. Hope you are feeling better!

That was a great cruise. If I remember correctly, the poor guy that made them couldn't even come. I believe his dad was very ill.

Nice to be cruising with you again!

Dawn

Well done on the Avatar:woohoo:
Rather than going to my homepage try this direct link Dismeet page Any info you want adding either post on here or PM me I will add it for you.

I am recovering from Mothers day now, turnover up 21% on last year, total suprise with current financial problems.

I am horrible with this. I just clicked on that site, but unable to add anything about myself. At least you have my name. That is a start.

I know pm means private message, but I have no clue how to do that.

Shelly welcome!

I have a DS-11 Matt who is looking forward to meeting his new friends on the cruise. He has been emailing 2 boys from our DISmeet (James and Kyle).

I also have a DD 8( Marina) who will be in the Lab with your DD.

I will Pm you my email if the kids want to chat. I know that my DD would love to email with your DD. She is feeling left out since Matt has already made some friends.

We are booked in a Gty. so no cabin # yet. We prefer an inside because it is very dark and the kids and DH will sleep in. On our last cruise, we were up graded to a cat 9 and appreciated the upgrade but, would of loved an inside.

We are leaning on yellowstone. But, we are getting some terrific Alaska cruise deals. I would love to go on DCL for Alaska.

We are planning on going to Yellowstone for two weeks. We want to whitewater raft and a horseback trip when we are there.

We are debating about staying in hotels or bring our trailer.

Our 1st cruise we were upgraded to verandah cabin, used it 10 mins the whole cruise but still nice to get a free upgrade.

We almost did Alaskan cruise end of May, it was so cheap with HAL, under $2,000 outside cabin for 4 of us for 7 nights. They had an offer for 3rd & 4th on room free.
Decided to go back to WDW instead, flights were cheaper and we have annual passes for all parks.

We were looking at the same cruise. It was $3200 for the for of us with air .Unfortunately, Erik is going to be in South Carolina for the next 3 months and will only be home on the weekends. He has already made sure he will be home for socut camp and our cruise.

we are going to have such a party party:

Updated website tonight.

Added Shelly and family.

Bev added your cabin # (I have been called worse names, don't worry:rotfl2:)

I have also added hyperlinks to our cabin numbers, click on them and it takes you to a deck plan of the deck you are staying on.

Dismeet website click here

Shelly - welcome to the group! You are much braver than me to fly in the day before the cruise, but I'll look forward to meeting you all whenever we have our meet!

Wayne - adding the deck plans was a great idea! I am trying to memorize relevant parts of the deck plan before I board so I don't need to refer to a map to find my way around...

Christi - Yellowstone would be a great vacation, there are some incredible meadows beyond the roads you can ride a horse through or camp in, and the two rivers north of the park look like they offer awesome rafting. I hope to get on one of those rivers next year!
If driving, bring the trailer. It would add a lot to sleep in the park and wake to the sounds of nature.
