August 22, 2015 - Fantasy Western

Isn't planning half the fun? ;)
Where are you going to stay in Key West? We love the Southernmost on the beach :cloud9:
Ah, and a trip along the Gulf Coast. Awesome! Did that years ago and we really wanna repeat it.

We are one week behind you, when it comes to our next vacation. :lmao: We are going on a Western Caribbean on the Magic.
And booked our rental just last week. :thumbsup2

Last year we stayed the The Southernmost. really like the hotel but not so much the location. This time staying here: https://www.pierhouse.com/

We are more or less repeating our Gulf coast trip from last year we enjoyed it so much.:thumbsup2

Hello...so just did our reservation/deposit for the 8/22 cruise...for my 40th birthday!

There are 4 of us...DH (Tom), myself (Aidines), DD 13 (Catherine) and DS 6 (T.J.).

We don't have a room number, as it's GTY, so not sure about doing FE...especially on our first cruise...but if we change our minds or get a room assignment prior then maybe we'll do it :)

We'll be at the Hyatt the night before and taking the DCL in to Port Canaveral :)

Hi we just booked this cruise!! So excited wondering if we can join the fish extender??? We will have 6 people total in 3 cabins. Luckily we are all right next to each other. Please let me know what I need to do. Thanks. Can't wait!!

Just booked couple hours ago. I have second seating dining. It will be just me travelling and my first cruise :)

If you are GTY you might get your stateroom number fairly late (as late as a week prior), so if you decide to join the FE, please remember that there is a cut off date after which sign up will be closed.

Staying at the Hyatt is such a relaxed way to start your vacation. We have stayed there as our flights always come in fairly late in the evening and it is so nice not to have to travel somewhere right after landing. :goodvibes

:woohoo: for booking your cruise!
Sure you can join the FE!
All I need to know to put you on the list are the stateroom numbers (if you already have them) first names of everyone in your stateroom and ages of any kids. Once I have that information I can put you on the list! :thumbsup2

I love the Hyatt. We stayed there for our vacation to Puerto Rico (During my 37th birthday...so Hurricane Irene I believe) and they were just so accommodating when our plans changed due to the storm.

As for the FE I'm not sure about doing it my first cruise, and you're right it's hard with not having a room yet. If we change our minds, though, and get a room assignment early enough we'll let you know.

Thanks for the friendly welcome :)

EDIT to add: Can you add us to the Cruisers list at least? Just not the FE one yet :) Thanks!

No problem about the FE.

There is a reason why I no longer add people to the list of cruisers in the first post. I intend to take it off and replace it with another list. This one got all messed up when I was so busy in fall and early winter and people signed up and then cancelled their cruise. As soon as I find enough time I will comb through the thread and put together a more correct list.

28 weeks until .........

Question regarding the FE Exchange. Will the list be split up in to smaller groups, or will we be bringing gifts for everyone that signs up? I would like to get started on making ours now, and want to make sure that I have enough supplies.

Yes, once sign up is closed the list will be split into smaller groups.

Ahoy there! Reporting for duty!

Happy to join everyone here for what will be our very first Disney cruise. Our party will be myself (Emily), my husband Austin, my two children Jack (will be 6 at the time of the trip) and Julia (will be 2), and my mother-in-law Pat.

Since it's our first cruise, we probably won't do the Fish Extenders . . . but my son has seen FEs in prior cruisers' YouTube videos, and I'm sure he'd be so into it if he ever figured out what they're for, ha ha ha!

:welcome: to the DISboards and our cruise meet thread.

You will like cruising with Disney - they definitely know how to do it right. ;)

To join the FE exchange (please read the info in my first post) I will need everyones first names, the ages of any kinds in the stateroom and your stateroom number.
Once I have that information I will put you on the list. :thumbsup2
Oh thank you so much! We are Joe and Jamie. Our kids are Giuseppe will be 4 1/2 and Vincenzo will be 15 months. We are in room 6084.

Great to have you on board for your first Disney cruise. The Fantasy is such an awesome ship, you are going to love it.

As far as the FE - no problem. Should you change your mind and want to take part after all, just let me know. :goodvibes

I added you to the list! :cheer2:

Haha!! Just read a thread on the main cruise forum about crazy table mates...

I have also narrowed down what port excursions I want for when it is time to book...fingers crossed I get all of them, hoping cause just me it will work in my favour LOL. What does everyone else have planned?

Who here also plans to dress up for dinners? I just got my dress for formal night last week :)

Could you post a link to the crazy table mates? had a quick look and can't see it.

Not started looking at port excursions yet, too busy with our trip next month, need to look soon though.

Doubt we will take any special clothes for dining, a few shirts and ties with be my limit, the cruise is part of a 25 night trip and we travel as light as possible..
