I'm not sure if this is a new policy or not, but at the bottom of the email that announces a new posting is the following message: "There may also be other replies, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again."

As soon as I link back to the page and sign in, I get the next message, but nothing after that until I sign in again. Odd policy rule ...

Thanks for pointing that out.....sure enough, I got a notification for your post and that was after I had made my post. I guess it cuts down on the amount of emails sent. Oh well.

Good news is my TA emailed me this morning and said she has my cruise documents!!!!

I like the idea of meeting the promenade lounge. Is it 3:00 p.m.?

KC are you sailing a back to back this year?

We are making this into our annual get together. lol/SIZE]

I would love to try and do this as well. Is this something for adults only, or are kids welcome? Our little kiddlings are too young to be away from us so early on in the trip, but we would love to meet people and have a DOTD.

Are the fish extender gifts going to be for each individual in a room or one gift for each room participating?

It is up to you. Some will give one gift per room, some times it's been one gift per child or one for each guest. We've seen each variation so far. It really is up to you.

I think it's up to the gift-giver. Ours will be one gift for the room. I would leave two for the connecting rooms.

We wish it was a B2B....but sadly, no. We're doing four nights in WDW prior to this cruise. We haven't been to WDW in a couple of years so we're overdue.

Absolutely the entire family is welcome....its a way for all of us to meet face to face. Its amazing how frequently we DISers run into each other on the ship.

Its up to you.....I've had people give one gift for the entire family as well as an individual gift for each of my kids.

Its an individual decision on your part - one way isn't better than the other.

DH and I were planning on booking about a month ago and finalizing the plans:surfweb: for the date ( between 4 day and 5) when the prices DOUBLED:scared1:. We waitlisted a Cat 12 and they called with one yesterday:banana: it was a fantastic price so we are doing everything last minute which is not me I am a planner. This will be our 4th Disney cruise but our last was 4 years ago. So I will be re- reading my passporter book:rotfl2:. I am an Emergency Medical Technician for the county ambulance service and my husband is a 1ST Lieutnant with the county Sheriff's office ( both for 18 years). We will be celebrating our anniversary ( childless) we have brought them on 2 of the 4 cruises but it didn't work out this time. I have never done the FE's but would love to participate. Also looking forword to meeting everybody. We do not plan on getting off the ship in Nassau we have been twice and have no desire to do it again:rotfl:. We are in cabin 2009:woohoo: been on deck 2 before but I have motion sickness so I will def be wearing my scapolamine patch since we are in the very front of the ship!

Sorry (again!) that I've been AWOL! We leave for FL 2 weeks tomorrow and we get married 3 weeks yesterday!

Definitely go ahead and arrange the FE :) I would love to take part but I don't think I will have any time to get any gifts together - I am totally snowballed at the moment :(

A meet sounds great though :)

can you share your fantastic price? Just curious because we were thinking of doing what you did but didn't.

Less than one month!:dance3::dance3::dance3:
We are currently putting together our FE gifts and just wanted to see if there was a final count on the number of rooms participating along with number of boys/girls/adults per room. In 8044, there are Dad and Mom, DS 15, DS 12, DD 9.:goodvibes

As far as fish extender gift exchange goes...we are 2645 and 2643 (sorry, I just realized I transposed # in an earlier post). We will be hanging one extender for RM 2545 for the 5 of us...our blended family is 2 adults and 3 kids/teens...dd16, ds15 and dd9. Thank you in advance to the keeper/organizer of the list...your work is much appreciated!:lovestruc

I am a school teacher so I am home, but I officially have only 6 hrs left of summer camp for the year and I have to make good use of my time today...plan on doing all the online check-in for the cruise :surfweb:, search for cruise door magnets :confused3 and make arrangements for a 2 night stay at WDW for when we go next week...we are visiting family and I am thinking of doing a surprise 2 nighter (we own DVC) for just me and my dd9 :woohoo:!

Stitch's Cousin: we have two alike children. My dd9 is an experienced cruiser and will be doing the kid's club...is your daughter interested in the clubs and is she going into 3rd or 4th grade? Emily will be entering 4th as she is a January baby. My daughter is also an only child and is always looking to make new friends to make the cruise more special. My boyfriend's 2 children are first time cruisers and I am not too sure what they are going to think about the teen club or the cruise in general. I know my ds15 is all about the free non-stop eatting he is going to find on the cruise...he is going to be the one who orders 3 main dish selections @ dinner every night! This is him :woohoo: with the eating and this is me and his dad :scared1:

Hope all is well with everyone! It is going to be a hot one tomorrow...they say 110! Thank goodness for AC. Off to do my work for today! Happy Friday!

We are first time cruisers so it will be a new experience for us. :cool1: Our daughter, Katherine, is going into grade 4 this year and is really interested in the Kid's Club so she will probably see Emily there.:yay::yay:

We are a family of 5. Three boys ~ 10 and 7 yr old twins they will be in room 1051 and Hubby & I will be in 1053(connecting rooms) I'm hanging FE's for both rooms because the boys wanted one on each door. Its the first cruise for the family and they are very , very excited. We are huge Harry Potter fans and we are going to WWOHP for 3 days before the cruise and 7 days at WDW (we own DVC) after the cruise.

Hi Everyone,

There are nine families participating in the FE exchange. I've sent all the participants a message with the details for each family.

The following should receive a message (or already received it):
Ski-and-Sea
Skelly_wi
Stitch'sCousin
Tinkified
TwingleMum
Cyndisun
bucks9009
Karriemouse
doombuggy

If I missed anyone, or you didn't get the message, please let me know.

Otherwise, we'll see you on board!

I don't mind as long as it's not a no no on here,:confused3 I don't like getting in trouble. It was originaly a Florida resident rate and we waitlisted for a cat 12. Our price was $886 and we are in a cat 12 in the very front of the ship:sick: I will def need my patch:rotfl2: I really wasn't expecting a phone call for this cruise I was shocked and happily surprised. I would do it again in a heartbeat.:thumbsup2
