August 2016 - anyone else planning for this time?

Just booked 8/14 - 8/21 at BC with 7 day park hoppers for $3024. I'm so excited! I was hoping to do a split stay with 3 nights at a deluxe since we've never been to one before but this deal made it possible to stay the whole trip!

Pulled the trigger today on the Labor Day deal...9 days next August at the BC for our family of 4. Room discount came to roughly 50% off... I'll take it :).

It looks like discounts are going to be few in the future, they just don't need to do it anymore. So excited I managed to get a good deal for August. deals and dvc rentals in my future:)

We are going in August :) Aug 13th to 20th (I would like to go a little later but we have band camp that starts the next week). We are booked at SSR, but hoping to switch to another resort at 7month mark. DVC so no free dining.

Yay! I booked the Polynesian (4 rooms) for our family vacation next August 16-23. With 7 day park hoppers, the cost ($2400 for 2) was almost exactly what Port Orleans Riverside is right now! So thrilled to be staying at the Polynesian, definitely on my Disney bucket list!

Your form must have got lost somehow. Email them again. I got my quote in less then an hour.

Same for me. I had the quote, called them, and had a trip booked in under 2 hours total. I would suggest filling it out, or calling them directly. They have been GREAT to deal with.

They are awesome!!! I didn't even have to call them this time, since they still had my credit card info. from my last trip.

Yes, just use the reference provided in the link my reservation section and it comes straight up:)

61% off room only for me. Unbelievable!!!

Finally had a chance to resend my quote request and they got back to me within 30 minutes. On a Sunday... now I have to decide if Poly is worth $165 more for 7 nights, over Beach Club or Yacht Club. And since I've never thought I'd be able to afford a deluxe, I really need to read up on them all more! I know Poly is great for being close to MK, and the others are connected and close to Epcot. I don't think any of them have a great counter service, which is where I had planned to eat for breakfast at least to save some money. Wait though, the deluxe had coffee makers? Hmm. Could make things easier to eat in the room if I don't have to find my morning coffee somewhere lol. It's just me and my son (he'll be 6), first real trip (we stayed two nights at AoA before a cruise and went to AK for a day). What to do! We'll have 6 days in the parks, 2 each MK & Epcot I think, then one each for AK & HS.

Regarding whether the Poly is worth $165 more than beach or yacht club. While I have not stayed at the Poly since I'm a kid, I'd answer with a resounding YES. It's the original; in the heart of it all resort. It's a monorail resort. The TTC is a short walk away as well for the monorail to Epcot. It's got a GREAT pool, fantastic views, and a truly unique feel just about everywhere. (Did I mention the views)? Food? Ohana, Capt. books, great pool bar, sushi bar, Kona Cafe - Tonga Toast, and now, TRADER SAM's!!!!!

Yes, the Beach and Yacht Clubs are nice, but for that true once in a lifetime deluxe stay, I can't really imagine staying anywhere other than the Poly.

Just no dining plan. Get yourself a gift card with the value of the dining plan you would've wanted, add 20% for your tips and you will walk away with money still on that card:)

What is the purpose of getting the Disney card for dining? Wouldn't it be better to use your charge card and at least get points back?

It makes no difference. I like to pay before I go and I lock
In the funds. I don't even have a credit card. Most people on the dis argue that the dining plan means they can prepay their meals and a gift card works the same way. Whatever works for you:)

I am SO excited. We just booked an adults only Anniversary trip for Aug at my DREAM resort the Poly with the amazing labor day deal. When I got the quote and showed my husband he didn't at all believe that the deal could be that good, he had me email the agent to make sure he said it's too good to be true. LOL

I have ALWAYS wanted to stay at the Poly but it's never been in our budget, or anywhere close to it, I am thrilled.

I also got an awesome deal. Was wondering how I was going to suck up paying 5600ish for our trip staying at Beach Club for Aug 19-27, 2016. Thanks to this deal we are now paying $3886.00 for 3 adults, 2 kids (age 12 and 4) for 8 day tickets with park hopper! I am so thrilled!! Now we don't have to choose between the trip and sending DS to college again next year (just joking, sort of!). LOL :)

Thank you Disboards!

Thanks for sharing the information! And the excitement!

I am really puzzled right now comparing :
10 days w/ park hopper and water fun and staying 10 nights at POFQ and
this Labor day deal which would give 8 park days w/ park hopper and 1 water park day and staying 10 nights at BC.
Assuming 15% rebate on the first they would roughly come to the same price.

It will be our 5th time to WDW but the first time trying the water parks. So the second option seems a bit slim, we would have some non park days. Also, we stayed at the GF last trip and found it a bit stuffy/formal... We think that we will get the same feeling from BC.

Any thoughts that could help us decide either way? It's all fun planning!

I would go BC. I have done both places. BC will give you a great pool, walking distance to two parks and you get to experience deluxe at mod prices. POFQ is closer to Disney springs if that interests you, but BC has so many food options within walking distance. BC isn't stuffy at all, different feel to GF:)

I think you should try the BC too. Just don't do a park on arrival and departure day, and make one day only a waterpark day. You'll want some time to relax and enjoy SAB anyways. BC isn't stuffy, but my family prefers the atmosphere at POFQ and Pop better. But we're really glad we tried it.

Thank you for the answer. I admit that your atmosphere comment weights almost as much as the recommendation. We have been in Deluxe before and originally thought we could try a Moderate.

Does anyone knows if I can have two reservations on the same dates for the same guests? It would give us a few weeks to think (I won't be a hog) but I would hate loosing both.
