August 2015 WDW Deals

My DH and I had so much fun last year that we are attempting to go again in August! This time we are sticking to a MUCH stricter budget. We will probably stay at Pop Century. I really don't know much about the deals that are for value resorts. What kinds of deals were out last August for the values? We would be going mid-late August - we do not know our dates yet. I'm just trying to feel out what the historical deals have been to get a basic idea of what to expect. Thanks!

The value resorts had room discounts, which got bigger (percentagewise) depending on the number of days you stayed.

You may get lucky and get free dining deal if you go the last week or so in august. I got a bounce back deal for free dining for Aug 27th through Sept 1st and I am staying at POP. I paid the extra amount to upgrade from QS to TS in the free dining plan. So for $90 each, myself and my husband have free table service. I am really looking forward to going at this time.

That is what I did last August. Stayed at the Wilderness Lodge for $169 per night. Seemed like a good deal to me. I always wanted to stay at its sister hotel in California, Grand Californian but its $400+ night rate always turned me off. One plus of Florida is the rooms are much cheaper than California.

We have a Disney agency exclusive and are staying at Beach Club for the same price as we are paying for Pop Century next month. WL was cheaper, but since we are not hitting the parks, we will be doing pool time...SAB seemed like a better idea.
