august 2013 codes for rental cars?

Yes ma'am. If you haev signed up for the KLM Flying Blue membership, then you are good to go. I would have your membership number with you when you travel, just in case.

I joined but where do I find the membership number, I have looked but can't find it.

So far the best I'm able to do is $371 for an SUV from National using the kLM code and a $30 off coupon code. We are going from Aug 19-30.

We never did get a mailed card, just the email version. So be sure you hang onto your email from KLM with the membership number :) .

I signed up awhile ago and don't have the email. I searched their website and they said I can call, so I guess that is what I need to do.

What are you pick up and drop off times? Using your dates and the $30 coupon, I am coming up with $355 total (but that's using a 12 noon P/U and drop).

I still have found nothing better than my $245 for an 8-day SUV rental (w/National using the KLM code and the $30 Ent. book coupon). Though I did notice yesterday that Dollar's minivan and SUV rates (under their "city special") were beginning to come into a much more reasonable price point, so there's hope for us yet :thumbsup2 .

I am really struggling with finding a decent rate. We are a family of five so need preferably a full size or better, but I guess we could squeeze into a mid size.

We want to pick up at MCO on August 15 and drop off at Dolphin on 23rd. That limits us to Alamo and National as far as I can tell.

Best I can find is $444 at Alamo and $419 at National for mid size which would not be comfortable.

I am using membership ID's for each rental company, and entertainment guide and KLM at National (although not sure I input that in the correct 'rate' box?)

Would love any advice on getting lower rates.

My best advice is to check daily and wait. It's still a little too soon to be seeing the drops. I am pretty certain they will come but they don't last too long so check back here often.

With National, it appears that its your Dolphin drop-off that's killing you. There's a $250 drop fee noted when I run your dates :crazy2: . Here's the difference:

When I generate a quote (using 12 noon pick up and drop off in each case) with a MCO pick up and Dolphin drop off, using the KLM code and a $30 coupon from the Entertainment Book (just for arguments sake....hopefully you can find a similar coupon direct from National before you travel), a mid-sized SUV will cost you $797.73.

Same dates, same times, same code and coupon with a MCO pick up and MCO drop off .... $273.59.

Is the Dolphin drop-off set in stone?

We are staying through to the 28th so we could drop off back at MCO but then we are paying for those extra days. It ends up being $444 when I run it that way. I have the entertainment guide and was trying to use the $30 off coupon but it still shows up as $444

Anyway at all you could work in your schedule to drop off at Disney Car Care Center and get a ride from them over to the Dolphin/Boardwalk area? In the past, I've found much better rates going there.

Dropping off at car care quotes at $420 still

Gina, how are you adding in the entertainment guide coupon? If I put it in the coupon code box there is no change to my rate.

Under "optional rate information" on the booking page, put the KLM code (8572130) in the contract ID box. Then the entertainment book code goes immediate below it in the box marked "coupon ID".

PM me the code you are using from the EB and I'll make sure its correct.

I stalked you over from the National Code thread, LOL.

Hotwire has a full size car for your full dates (8/15-8/28) for $16.95 per day or $325 total with all taxes. You will be able to get it cheaper using Priceline (directions are here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=37158615) but if you use either service you need to be DOUBLE-DOG 100% sure you are traveling because your reservation is non-refundable.

You could also just book for your original 8 days on Hotwire/Priceline, return to MCO for $213 (with taxes) and then book a one-way rental back to the Dolphin (8/23 - 8/24) from Alamo for another $33 for an Economy with taxes included (using the Continental Airlines code from Mousesavers) for a total of $246 and a bit of a hassle.

Thanks to all my advisers this morning. There was no way I was going to pay $200+ to drop the car off early at Dolphin (thanks Gina!) so I ended up booking for our full Florida stay (12 days + 23 hours) with National for $408 for a full size. I totally plan to stalk this thread for a better price until the day we leave though!
