I am home sick from ork today too....blah...but at least it's now and not in a month!!!!

Meanwhile I'm sick. booo Sore throat, congested, overall miserable. No temp though so that's good. Took some nyquil last night to help sleep and I'm still in a stupor from it. Today should be interesting...

WOW!!! My last post was last Wednesday on page 127! I had this open since yesterday morning and was catching up a little at a time and finally got to the end but there'll probably be 8 more posts by the time I finish typing this!! This board is obviously speeding along in the fast lane!!

My sister came down from Jersey on Thursday and brought my middle 2 boys back. I now have my 14 yr old nephew staying with me for a week or so....we haven't figured out when we'll meet up halfway for him to go home. We went to Busch Gardens (Williamsburg) on Friday and my 6 year old (just hit 48 inches tall) went on his first upside down coaster - Loch Ness Monster and LOVED it so much he rode it 3 times in a row. He also did the new coaster - Verbolten - that has a high speed launch like RnR and loved it too. Only did it once because the line was 45+ minutes although he was ready to hop right back in line. (Normally I don't do long lines since we have annual passes but I made an exception since my sister was here!) That said ~ I'm super excited that he loves coasters and I know he'll do everything he's tall enough for at Disney!!

I don't remember who did the bleach Mickey shirts but super cute!! Saw it on pinterest a few weeks ago (maybe more...I don't know, I've lost all track of time with the boys being home) and probably going to try it. Still not sure if I want to do tie dyes or not. DH says yes, but my 17 yr old is totally against matching shirts, let alone tie dye matching shirts! Anyway, if I end up doing anything, I'll be sure to post pics!

Good Morning Team August!

I really need to step away from my itinerary.

I am completely satisfied with the way it looks (adrs, parks and rest days), but for some reason I keep looking at it and trying to improve it.

Oh well, I guess it gives me something to do for the next 29 days!

Me too! I seriously stared at my itinerary for a good 2 hours the other night just waiting for a "EUREKA!" moment. I had 3 'Ohana ADRs but not the exact time and date I wanted in order to make it so that our Tokyo Dining ADR matched up with Illuminations, among a thousand other things. My husband told me I was trying to spin too many plates. So I sacrificed the Tokyo Dining/Illuminations combo (still doing both but just not together) and everything else I wanted to do fell into place.

That said, I have two 'Ohana reservations that I need to cancel. I posted them in the August ADR cancellation thread but no one said they wanted them so if anyone here wants them, PM me so we can coordinate a time.

Joining this party late, but I am going to Disney in 19 days!! Staying at the CBR for 10 nights! Longest trip ever! Just my mom and me, celebrating my first ever FULL TIME teaching job! Plus my cousin (aka my best friend) is driving down from Jacksonville with her girls to spend 3 days with us! Haven't seen them in almost 2 years! I am so excited!!

Why not order from wegoshop? They will go to whatever store you want and only charge a service fee which is definitely cheaper than a roundtrip cab fare. I just placed our order last week for next month. I have used them for 3 years now.

I subscribe to Touring Plans and they've never really steered me wrong (hard to do during low crowds though) so I checked there and easywdw for the best parks for each day and then made some ADR's.
I'm not thrilled with the ADR's but I can't really think of anywhere else that we're really excited about so I'm leaving them alone mostly.
I would like an O'hana but there is nothing for my dates. I'll see if I can grab a cancellation as we get closer to trip time but I'm not counting on it.

Thank you!! I will be a Special Education Resource Teacher. Not sure of the grades yet, but I am hoping for K-2. I was the SERT for K last year part time and this will be my first official full time position!

Gotta say, I would rather deal with cold...I can always put more layers on to get warm...can only take off so many and STILL be hot. Also, heat and humidity to an asthmatic are not fun, I think thats my only concern about going to Disney in August.


So agree with this statement. I have asthma and while I do worry about that in Disney in August, it works for our family and I have all my meds.
