Freezing here in Western New York. End of april and only about 40 degrees! Holy Cow! It was warmer in March.

Same here!! March was gorgeous, almost like a little tease that spring would be here early! Now we are back to cold.

Thanks, that is exactly my plan. We allowed for plenty of pool and resort time.
Ha, ha I did cold and raining for our 09 trip. It was nice but it definitly wasnt as great as it could have been. We decided August for us was better then going in fall or winter when it could be cold. We dont do cold(or cool, or even slightly chilly Anything below 75 is too cold for me.) Ok, It will be ok, Ill keep repeating it. I know I personally will be fine, Miami in July was great for me but I am concerned with the kids dealing with it.

We booked POP Century but for a surprise, I changed my ressie to AKL! The family won't know until we turn on the GPS in Orlando! That'll be my DH's birthday surprise!

Why is August taking so loooong?!

For a while it looked like it was going to hit Orlando but it actually missed Florida completely. It was so strange watching the news and seeing our hometown being clobbered! Sorry you missed a day of your vacation. It could have been worse. Our house had no electricity or running water for 6 days after the storm!

It must have been so weird! Were you back home in time for no electricity? Honestly, I didn't really care for the Ocean City vacation...I totally would've gone to WDW any day over there!

We went in August with a 2 year old in 2010 and he was fine. We just got a couple little portable fans and attached them to his stroller and he had no problem. Going into the shops helped too.

No kidding, what is this about?! Shorts and tank tops one day to heavy winter jackets the next! I'm not asking for 80s right now but at least something consistent and slightly decent!

Howdy neighbor!!!! Looks like we will be visiting around the same time. I agree with you about the weather....snow and freezing temps now but wore shorts in March. Mother Nature is confused for sure.

After all the pics/videos from this week, we just HAD to change our ressie to AoA! So I just got off the phone - no more ASMu, now we're headed to AoA Cars!!! We'll be there 8/19-8/25 (and hoping for some free dining, too - c'mon, Disney, don't let us down!)

It's very possible that DS4 will never go to sleep since we're living in Radiator Springs for a week!!

We have stayed there before. My daughter loves it there and since this will be her first trip where we are letting her bring her BFF with her, we decided to let her choose the hotel. I like a more luxury resort, but this is her trip. After all, there really is no bad place when you're at Disney!!

We'll be there 8/20-8/25 First time at a value, but Ive been hanging around the POP board to keep a positive attitude. IMHO, it cant be that bad, we actually stayed offsite (once) a couple years ago, at Bonnet Creek, and although it was georgous and I had a full kitchen and LR and BRs for everyone-I STILL missed being onsite the whole time I was there

Me Me Me!! We are going to Florida. August 9-16th. It is our first trip to Disney and I am so excited! We haven't told our kids yet, 9.6.and almost 2. (Strill trying to come up with the best way to tell them!) The older two are girls and the youngest is a boy...it will be kind of lost on him now.
I have made reservations at All Star Movies and started on the dining reservations. Its tough to plan what time to do meals. Any suggestions for that? I have a few down, like the Norway at Epcot for the Princess dinner, Tusker house for the Mickey, Donald and friends, and Sci-fi at Hollywood Studios.
We are flying in and staying two nights off property, but trying to figure that out still. (Getting from hotel to disney resort.)
I have been obsessed with planning!! Its all I can think about.

As far as ADR's go, just make ressies where you want, when you want, you can always change them when you get down there, just try not to get into a situation where you lose a deposit

Realize your starting an insatiable habit-because your kids are going to want to start planning the next WDW trip as soon as this ones over

Its official!! We switched to Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village. Please change this on my resort info.

So excited!! Cant wait!! Now I have to arrange a cake for my husband.

I called and switched to All Star Music from Movies to get the 20% off!! We're not picky about the hotel since we're just going to sleep there and the money saved will give us an extra TS meal!!

I'm surprised more people aren't excited about this deal...
