Girl after my own heart, BOX OF WINE!!!! Luv that, you know never thought of brining one, always get the small bottles of wine (like 12) and pack the crap out of them!! But the box of wine , that sounds very good!

Oh girl, please...I am NOT paying Disney prices for my wine fix and I have not lost a box yet to bad airline luggage handling!:thumbsup2 I also pack a bottle of Malibu Rum (white plastic bottles) for mixers. When I was at FQ last month, there was a family at the pool and they had a big bottle of Malibu rum. They were ordering non-alcholic drinksfrom the pool bar and then pouring their own rum in them--so they were only getting charged HALF of what the drinks would have been if they ordered the drinks with alchohol added. So their drinks were costing them $4 plus tip instead of $8.25 plus tip....now THATS budgeting!:goodvibes

Do you think US security would give me a hard time for bringing a suitcase just for my alcohol? $25 to check a back is a lot cheaper for 4 of us than buying it down there.

What are the liquor laws from bringing from Canada? Isn't it 2 liters or something like that?

Uh-Oh - soon we'll be starting a thread like on the Cruise Boards, about "How to sneak alcohol into DisneyWorld":rotfl2: And people will be calling us boozers and other nasty names.

Won't bother me at all when they're paying $10 for a drink :lmao:

We have a grocery order and get beer but I am going to pack a small bottle if rum(plastic) too. Last yr we ran out of beer and I made DH run to Hess by DTD to get more before the bus came. Way cheaper then poolside drinks. We actually found a use for the disney refillable mugs since we dont drink soda and I cant stomach nescafe(never should have bought them to begin with.) Great for cocktails:woohoo:

Funny cause I was thinking about that as well, How on another board I frequent on (a well known cruise board) Rum runners are a big thing , that and smuggling booze, its so comical!

Speaking of wine in a box, it is much more flexible and space-saving if you take the bag out of the box and lay it on the top shelf in the mini-fridge. Just sayin'......:rolleyes1

I think this is what we will do, grocery order and run over if we want more. We're going to bring our thermal mugs so things stay nice and cold.

Not sure about the Canadian laws~I just know that the past 4 trips to Disney I have taken, I have brought my own liquor. As a matter of fact, when I went for my 40th birthday long weekend blitz w/ my 3 BFFs, we had one suitcase filled with all of our booze AND A BLENDER!:lmao:............Southwest has never given me a hard time over it.

Cheers!:hippie:

I think you only are legally allowed to bring 2 750ml bottles into the USA without paying a tax.

But, if no one has mentioned it, go ahead and enjoy.

Hey Guys!! I just wanted to share my latest Disney video with everyone. I have a few in my signature but this is a link to my site that has my video from this past February. There's only one page on the site and the video will play automatically. Hope you like it!

Nikki, that is Awesome!!!! Thanks for sharing it!!!

QOTD: Have you begun getting ready for your trip, if so what have you done so far?

You know, come to think of it, I've done a lot more than I thought I had. Of course the ADR's, plane tickets, etc are all done and paid for. With this week's paycheck, my balance will be paid in full to Disney, too!! I always keep a travel bag (duffel) packed with my power strip, makeup, toiletries, etc. I do check expiration dates closer to the trip to make sure everything is still up to date --- that includes asprin, etc. My meds are packed (I have an extra weekly pill container that I use on trips). I have the ponchoes packed, a couple of books (not that I ever get to read in Disney, except for in the bathroom (hee hee) ). My Disney wallet is already packed with my photopass plus voucher and trading pins. I have last year's luggage tags on all the bags and I have some of the clothes for Disney already hanging on a special rack. I've printed out Google maps for to and from the airport.....

Wow.....I do have a lot done. I could probably leave tonight if I had to!!! :lmao:
