How about a QOTD: Have you begun getting ready for your trip, if so what have you done so far?

We have been buying some clothes, I purchased a couple of Disney shirts. I rented a wide angle lens to test out on this trip. Doing some research on different items I plan to purchase next month, buying this portable charger for all of our Apple products Protable Power Max and just found these bottles and thinking of buying a few for the trip Vapur The Anti-Bottle.

Need to purchase a couple of memory cards and will be buying our Star Wars Celebration tickets in July and then the WDW and Legoland ones right before we leave. As I type this, I'm thinking of going ahead and purchasing all tickets in July...more Disney Rewards dollars.

We just booked our airfare for Aug 17 - Aug 24. This will be our 6th trip, but first time in August. We have not booked the resort yet, but it looks like it will probably be CBR. After a rough 9 months, this is truly a deserved trip. I will try to catch up at lunch time.

We haven't really started yet. We normally start stocking up on things about a month out, which really marks the most exciting part of our countdown. DW will probably handle most of that part of the preparation, since I have a pretty big roadblock in the way before I can get too excited (I sit for the bar exam July 24-26). Once that is done, I'll be in full-on-planning mode getting our touring plans and such finalized, and we'll do our final shopping before packing.

So far I have arranged to have shirts made and a dvd. We are using the dvd as our way of informing the kids of that we are heading to Disney.

They are under the impression that we are going on another beach trip. So I will start packing and getting things closer to the time that we leave.

If I start packing too early, I will take way too much.

Thank you so much. I will put those in and see what happens. How do the bus stops work? Thanks for all of your help.

There is an internal bus that will take you from the Custom House (where Magical Express drops you off and where you check in) to your section's bus stop. There are a bunch so you just use the one closest to your location. Sometimes it's a pain when you get back late at night and you have to stop at a bunch of bus stops before you reach yours.

I started picking up little stuff here and there too. I feel like I've done this so many times, at this point, I could leave tomorrow if I had to and be totally fine! Which is so funny because my first trip with DH, I was a nut getting prepared for the trip!

LOL, nothing. Too early for me, and besides my kids are older and do their own packing so I just have to pack for myself-and I am NOT packing alot. I intend on doing a load of wash in the middle of the week...besides I need the room for my box o' wine!!!

Rest of family, nothing.

I have a color coded chart of park hours for our stay, preliminary dates for each park. Printed out various CS restaurant menus so we can all agree on a place.

Now that its under 2mths, we will start figuring out what we need to bring.

Well I've booked plane tickets, figured out what parks we will be going to, bought my Disney Bag (a 31 crossbody organized shoulder bag) and Stockpiled poncho's

I have made ADRs, planned my days. I have my grocery order ready to be placed
I have a drawer full of items I am taking, kids surprises, cooling towels, water misting fans.
Tomrrow the kdis and I are making Tshirts and I will figure out pirate costumes for PL I am creating(surprise as well.)
I also have a 31 cross carry bag for my park bag. Second yr in a row of using it.

I have just bought some of our clothes (only budgeted for that next month, but I had a great birthday at the casino with a friend and had extra money early ). Other than that, nothing extra done just the main things like:
ADR's
Resort
Tix
Park days picked
Airline tix purchased

We move on July 7th so that has my attention right now, come my 45 day mark, the game is on!!! Watch out, here I come!

Really, nothing! I probably won't pack until the week before. I will also need to do a major detailing of the car to get ready for the drive! I do have all of my ADRs made and I just took advantage of the discounted room rates and booked three more days!!! We will now be there for almost two weeks.

Until then, enjoying the beach and the pool!

Keep checking the Disney site too because sometimes things actually DO pop up. I scored an 'Ohana once on a MNSSHP night at 5pm DAYS before leaving for Disney, after checking literally for MONTHS!

Girl after my own heart, BOX OF WINE!!!! Luv that, you know never thought of brining one, always get the small bottles of wine (like 12) and pack the crap out of them!! But the box of wine , that sounds very good!
As far as our upcoming August trip, no packing is done yet, But I am not packing alot , figure I'll so a load as well during the week.Been buying things for the trip here and there...Definatly ponchos are coming (hopefully not to jinx us) you just never know....
Keds are out of school right now now occupied with them , but my youngest who is 8 , has been on a "lets watch disney vacation videos" Kick!! As the countdown gets closer it gets like that around here!! And I've been on this site way to much, Although guess thats not a bad thing !!

I agree. CHECK THE DISNEY SITE. My mom scored Dine with an Imagineer woohoo for August after months of trying to get an ADR for it, today!
