I think I will just cry if there are no discounts for my August stay this year, because I received a Bounceback Offer for free dining last year's stay, and DH told me to pretty much get a life!! And now here we are, counting our lucky stars for a discount.

Now, I do have a question. I read somewhere that there is a Canadian free dining discount out right now starting in mid-August. Would something like this later be opened to US residents, or are they totally not related??

Otherwise, I read somewhere else that it is predicted that free dining will begin the last week of August, which is probably a week too late for us.

Glad to see I'm not the only one adjusting vacation plans because of soccer tryouts. My DD's tryouts are last week in Aug, so we are going the week before.

Last year's BB offer was 8/17-9/27 so it may be something similar to that. I was just hoping that it would be earlier as I would love to move my trip up to the middle of August.

Received a pin in the mail this week for 30% off select resorts from Aug 5-31. Which would be amazing if we weren't going Aug 1-4th . Oh well, I'll keep wishing. Good luck to the rest of you though!

I too received a "Game On" pin in the mail for 30% off from 8/5-8/31. Mine included 8/1 for Deluxe resorts. Mine says to ask about other dates so the pp should call and ask.

made my reservations way back in august for 8/5 arrival next year...and no pins or mailers for me...i have saved reservations, wife saved reservations but still no luck with any pin codes...i guess luck of the draw.. but this i do know, if we cant get some kind of discount then im gonna have to cancel. I cant afford a 9 night stay without any discounts and this is the value resort... i cant believe the prices for 2012 and i cant believe no special promos.

So far I'm batting a great big zero on discounts this year. Hoping to go 9 nights at the end of August this year. Went that time last year and got a GREAT discount (yippee late summer room-only discounts!) and low crowds!!

I don't know if this helps anyone. I know Magical Vacations is running an agency exclusive discount from August 4 - August 11. Looks like the discount is for a package at Polynesian or Beach Club. We used to go late October before DS was in school and would do their October agency exclusives. I don't know what the rate is for this one, but we always got Poly for less than any other discount that was out there.

I would love to do BLT this year, but have a feeling our chances are slim to none!

Thanks for the info - I was really excited about looking into this because we love the Polynesian! Unfortunately, I was hoping for a room only and this is a package (which you say in your post, but I read right past that ). You have to get tix and dining with it (I have an AP, so don't need tix), but hopefully it will help someone else!

We're back at the Beach Club. (I hope... I emailed our travel agent last night and asked her to change the reservation.) We'll do room only, and get YES tickets. That means no meal plan, but I can put $2000 onto a debit card and pretend.



Here's how my numbers work out:

PIN code saves us $860

YES tickets save us $625.



So we're saving just shy of $1500 off the package I originally booked.



What a huge relief!!!! If anyone from Disney Destinations is reading this, please accept my sincere thanks!!!!!

If you call and have a pin code do you have to book then or can you call back to use it

Maybe you could ask to see if they could do room-only? Explain you are an AP holder? I'm just wondering if AP rates will be lower when they come out? I remember doing room-only with them a few years ago with the agency exclusive. Maybe you still can?

I've always considered getting an AP - it would have made so much sense last year because we ended up going twice and ended up staying longer to avoid Hurricane Irene. Ugh - I don't even want to know how much money I probably wasted!! I should really stay on top of those AP discounts - TIW looks great too! Good luck!
