August 2012 code watch

i made reservations way back in july for august 5-14 of 2012... and i still have not recieved any pin codes or anything......i do get mailings every other day from disney destinations asking if i want to buy mickey hats, but i have no pin codes yet.

Hi yankeeslover and welcome. Now, as to how the pin codes work? We are still trying to figure that one out ourselves. That question has been dicussed many, many times here on the Dis. Now, I can not speak for anyone else but my personal theory is that it is a random selection process maybe even computer generated. Why I say this is because I had been registered with the Disney Parks site and have received planning DVD's for at least 3 years never got one. My DH registered requested one planning DVD within a month he had received an email pin code and a post card pin code for two (2) different offers. So, again I dont know how it works or even if any of the Disney Parks lurking helped but that was my personal experience with pin codes. DH has had at least 6 different offers ME - 0. BTW DM & FIL get the post cards too.

Hi all. I have 2 rooms at BC for the week of 8/11/2012. I was able to book a bounceback offer today for 35% off my existing reservation.

I've found the GP offers that are released later often mirror the bounceback offers so here's hoping there is a nice room discount in the future for everyone!

We booked a bounceback for 30% off when we were there last week. Our dates are August 5-13, 2012 at POR.

My family is hoping for a pin, also. We are getting married in July and hoping for a "familymoon" for about 10 people in August. I'm hoping we get our dream vacation for a good price. We'd all love to stay at BC!

I called last night to see if I had a Pin. No luck, but they did offer a unadverstised room-only discount of 25% for ASMU Suites.

The last time I called, about 3 weeks ago, the best I could get was the 5% AAA discount. Our dates are for Aug 6 to Aug 16. I didn’t ask if it applied to any other resorts as this was the one we were planning to book. Now I am hoping for an even better discount later on, like 35%.

We're back at the Beach Club. (I hope... I emailed our travel agent last night and asked her to change the reservation.) We'll do room only, and get YES tickets. That means no meal plan, but I can put $2000 onto a debit card and pretend.



Here's how my numbers work out:

PIN code saves us $860

YES tickets save us $625.



So we're saving just shy of $1500 off the package I originally booked.

Did you get the pin code via email or snail mail? We're hoping for the same type of discount for that time frame as well. I've gotten for Jan-March dates thru snail mail but couldn't use it any other time.

We just received a 30% off pin yesterday...pretty much covers all of August and good for other times as well ...just trying to decide which week in August will work best for us.

It's early yet. The summers promos normally aren't announced till well into the new year.

No pin for us ... but the news of the 30% off pin makes me very hopeful that we will see a 30% off code for the general public.
