I am just praying that if they offer a discount for August, they do it before the 180 day mark, so I can make my dining reservations!

I "may have" made a few hard-to-get ADR's before I had even discussed a possible trip with my hubby...Just in case.

Thanks to whoever posted the tip about saving reservation quotes on the Disney website. Just got a 20% PIN for August that specifically thanks me for checking out the Vacation Planning info and that I was interested in visiting in August.

I don't think I have ever saved a quote before. I always write the info down or copy the info into a spreadsheet to compare prices.

We love to fly Jetblue. But the current airfare is $223 pp round trip from JFK. I would love to see it go down to the $200 level.

I've had 6-8 August quotes saved over the past few months and have not received a PIN for my dates. I only get emails about my resort picks or 1 PIN that was for dates up to March 14. I booked anyway and updated all my info on the Disney site. Maybe soon they'll send me something I can use.

Last trip we brought my parents with us and I have received 3 or 4 offers for them.

We will be flying out of Detroit. When first started looking at flights in November we were seeing prices around $260. On Saturday found a Delta flight for $193. That was when I decided it was time to book the trip!

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm starting to get a little more annoyed each day about the lack of late summer discounts. I know that WDW does not HAVE to even offer discounts, I get that, BUT, everytime we've gone, and upgraded, it's been because of a discount and therefore, there is no way in you know where that I will pay full price for a WDW vacation. I know we could stay at a value resort, but we've BTDT and it's just not for us. I still have my room only at POFQ, but this week I also booked a great rate at the Hard Rock Hotel over at Universal in case nothing good comes from WDW for late August (and I want a room discount, not FD). We really enjoyed our Universal vacation 2 years ago and so I'm trying to convince DH to just return there, where we actually relax and have a vacation, versus doing Disney this year. All he really wants to do is go to DHS and spend hours riding TOT, RNR and TSM

We received a 30% off pin code in November for our August dates in 2012, but we let it expire. Then, I decided we can't miss another year of Disney, so I called to book CSR a couple of days ago. I told them what happened, and he said he would check to see if we still had any codes available to us. Fortunate for us, there was another 30% off code. The original code was in my husband's name, and this one was in mine. We received codes when we went in April 2010 too. I'm not sure how it works, but we got lucky. I've been pretend booking for awhile now, so I'm sure that helped.

We go down for 23 nights
Like to try different resorts so this year we planned 5 resorts. One being hard rock

Plus we are hoping for free dining and a %off code

Dont know how we can do it with out discounts

I don't think the next round of general public discounts will be released until the current spring promotion is over. The CM I talked to when booking said they release discounts quarterly and that the next one would be out soon.

In November we booked our trip for next August at POR with free dining. I can't recall when the offer began, but I'm pretty sure it expired December 17th. Yet, when I look at the Mousesavers historical data, I don't see it on there and it's not on the free dining thread here on the Dis either. I know I didn't dream it because I keep checking our reservation every time it snows. Was it perhaps a Canadian only offer that extended that far into 2012 (we're Canadian)? I think it went into September. Help please, this is driving me mad!

Yes, that was a Canadian offer only. I did ask on another post if historically they offer US residents the same offers as Canadians, but no one answered...

Thanks for your reply! I'm afraid I can't answer your question either, as this is the first specifically Canadian offer I've booked. We usually book the general public discount. For instance, I booked free dining for the first time in August 2010 for August 2011 and that was general public...I think. Now I'm not sure!!

I have a 2 BR villas reserved through DVC at BCV for August 19-26. However, I'm still looking for an AP discount for another room as I need one for a family reunion. Crossing my fingers!
