We are in. DD and I are going with our good friends and neighbours (one friend for me and one friend for DD)

Aug 8 - 14. We are staying at the HoJo.

I feel so spoiled, we were just at DL for the Easter holiday prior to our LA - Vancouver cruise. I knew I shouldn't do it again - but I spent $500 upgrading to APs so now I have to go!

Planning our 1st trip to DL ever. We have been to WDW many times before.

July 31st to Aug 5th. Most likely DH hotel, but we have a wait list in for Grand Cal villas. I would be shocked if that actually came through.

We are telling the kids we are staying at Hojo, so DL hotel will be a surprise.

It will be my DD's 7th birthday and our wedding anniversary that week.

We are heading to DL 8/1-8/5 staying at HOJOs. First time to DL during summer break. I have my 5 year old son and Grandma and Grandpa. Can't wait. Will the crowds be really horrible? Oh well we are prepared and not expecting to do too many rides just spend time together.

Those are our dates. It is our 1st trip to DLR, but from what I have been reading, it should be ok. Going during the week. The weather in Aug looks pretty good (could be hot, but you have a that almost everywhere that month) and could be perfect!

I feel much better about going to DLR during the summer, then WDW. We did that once for our 10th wedding aniversary (Aug 2003). Never again.

I know what you mean. Our honeymoon was at WDW in August so I am looking forward to less humidity this trip. We are from the Seattle area so the heat may zap the Grandparents but I am looking forward to it.

Bellasmom, I we tried GCV too, no luck. It is a very small resort. I think we need to try right at 7 months for it (or own there.)
