Hello All,

I am super late to this party. When FD arrived last week I couldn't resist. We are staying at POP from August 21-29. I don't even have a flight booked yet. I'm working on that this weekend. Either that or we may drive.

I see a few posters are fairly new to the boards. Welcome aboard

Our last two trips were in July so we are familiar with the 'hot' factor. It's really hard to describe in words.

There is also plenty of water available for drinking, as well as misting, throughout the day.

August 4th- 16th for us. Three nights at the Doubletree DTD and then 9 nights at the Poly! It just can't get here soon enough!

August 16-23 at POR. This is our second trip as a family with DW, DS 11, DS 4, DS 2. We went last year during Easter. We had planned on going every other year. I couldn't resist free dining and great airfare. Got the trip for less then Easter when we stayed at a value and drove from Jersey. We are suprising our 11 year old. Should be fun. A little worried about the heat. DW is not good in heat, BUT she has said she will deal. Can't be much worse than heat and humidity in Jersey in the summer.

Aug 26-31 at Pop (first time staying there) for us! It was a last minute trip to celebrate overcoming a really crappy and tragic 2009. Plus, we'll be there for my birthday and it'll be DS's first trip!!! I really had to convince DH on this because we were planning a bigger trip in Nov of 2011, but we got such a great deal on this trip that it was so hard to pass up! Can't wait, its really difficult not to start packing my bags already!!!!

Booked last August for free dining bounce back. Also made our dinner reservations in February! We upgraded to deluxe dining. Staying at CSR. Also moving out on our last two days to the Nick Hotel. Dates Aug 15th to the 22nd. The bummer is that school starts on the 23rd for my son.

...and this will be our 3rd trip to WDW at this time of year.

We have found the heat and humidity to be comparable to Jersey. But, we are one of those families that used to get to the beach by 10 (at the latest) and leave at 3 or 4. We always came prepared, expecting a hot day.

Just like Jersey, I wear a hat and sunscreen. Unlike Jersey, I don't have to make sure I lug tons of water to the beach. There are water fountains all over WDW to refill the bottle I carry on a strap.

If you live in northern NJ, stop in to Campmor or Ramsey Outdoor and buy a high quality, stuffable poncho now. Better value than the park poncho. Sadly, there is no Mickey printed on the back though...

We leave for Orlando on August 21 and will be there until the 29th with free dining!

Hello all!!! We are driving from NJ, will be leaving on the 21st and heading to Ocala first to visit grandparents, reservations at All Star Movies from August 25th - 29th. I am so excited. I have been to Disney twice, but the last time was 12 years ago, I am taking my daughter (5) for her first visit and my parents are coming with us (both 61) and it's their first visit too!!!! SOOO excited, most of my ADRs are done and just made a reservation for my daughter at the Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique for the day we are having dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table! I wish it was closer, just can't WAIT to go

Just booked a few days ago--we had free dining in 2007 and couldn't pass it up again! We'll be at CBR from August 18th-25th!
