Since I don't see any trip threads for August 2008 on this board I will get things started. My family and I will be there from the 18th to the 30th at the Contemporary, on the Atrium Club Level floor.

We're not booked yet, but we're shooting for BCV sometime around the 22nd for another birthday trip. If/when the specifics fall into place will depend on a million things, though, because my mom wants to take the whole family down and that means working around 4 different work schedules, 2 kids activity schedules, and the respite care schedule for my grandmother since all her usual caretakers will be on the trip!

For all you going August 2008 :goodvibes :cool1: :thumbsup2 :) :wizard:  :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2:

Well, our plans have changed, but for the better! We (DH, DS5 and DS6, plus 2 sets of grandparents) were going to do WDW in September '08 to avoid all the crowds. (We went Sept. '06 and it was fabulous!) However, our special needs son in Kindergarten has had an extremely difficult year with school, behavior, transitions, etc. so we decided NOT to jeopardize next school year and we're going the last week in August '08 instead! Yes it will be hotter and more crowded, but I won't have to worry about school being affected and now I am thrilled! (He starts school after Labor Day.) I am SO much more excited now, plus it cuts about 28 days off our countdown! I could TOTALLY be packed and ready to go tomorrow. It stinks I have to wait...

We went the last week of August / first week of September 2007 and even though it was hot an humid, we adapted to the climate in about 2-3 days. It was great as we could go to the water parks in the afternoons and we really enjoyed them - Typoon Lagoon was our favourite. Just remember to pack some water with you and drink regularily.....I'd go again in August no problem....the crowds were not all that bad !

We are getting ready to book our trip for August 12 week and can't wait. We were worried about the crowds and the humidity. For all of our schedules, this is the best we could do...Heck, anytime at Disney is good. If it gets to be too much, we can always go back to our hotel and swim in the numerous pools : )

We are leaving on August 16th... I can't wait, we are so excited, so far there are 8 of us and we may have my aunt and uncle join us

In the past, they have offered the free dining plan towards the end of Augus, but there is speculation that they may not offer it this year since they changed the dining plan options. I think they released the info in April or May if they were having free meals HTH

Woot ! We'll be there in February and again in August. We're taking our niece for her 13th birthday and are going around the 18th - 25th. We've been promising to take her since she was 10. :rotfl2:

We will be there 10-17th. 1st time in August. How is it? Couldn't pass up the 40% off email I received this morning

Just bought airfare down today for August 18. Still looking for the way home.

Aug 9-16. Very excited!! First trip to Disney in 10 years!! We're going back to visit Mickey before my daughter "grows up". This vacation was her choice!! Ahh, the benefits of being an only child... :)

My first visit in 10 years also. My DD grew up and now I have a grandson. It's time to bring Joey:yay: :yay: :yay:
We are staying at the WL from the 13th to 20th. I can't wait. We went every year for 11 years straight and then stopped until now. 208 days to go.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We'll be at Pop Century...I don't want to wish away my summer but I can't wait!
