We will be neighbors with the family of 5 in your group Ivanova - we are in 2106.

We're leaving from Long Island. MacArthur airport is about 10 minutes away. If we decide to use Southwest, they service all 4 airport near the pier. Lax, Sna, Ontario Ca. and Burbank. Jetblue flys out of JFK, about a 40 minute ride, flys non-stop into LongBeach. Never realized how great sites like Mousesavers makes the options so easy for us. It a good thing that airlines don't have schedules available this far out, it gives us some planning time. Imagine if Disney got into the airline business. While you are on hold to book your flight, the prices would be going up....Mark

Hey Mark! Although I live in PA now, I'm Long Island born and raised! I miss being on the water.

Has anyone began to think of transportation to the port in Ca. yet? Any suggestions for places to stay the night before the cruise?
I've got my TA looking into getting a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn San Pedro. They offer a fly & cruise package (transfer from LAX to hotel, then transfer from hotel to port) and a park & cruise package (leave your car parked there for free - hubby said shuttle from LAX back to the hotel would be about $14 when the cruise is over).

We're either going to drive ourselves (and leave it parked at the hotel) or we're going to have a family member drop us off (and then pick us up at the airport we fly home to).

It's official....we've given our deposit. Pete, Lynn and Mary from Holden, MA. Stateroom 8018.

Had to post my new countdown for this cruise on this thread!

I have to wait until our August 2004 cruise is over before adding the August 2005 cruise countdown clock, as we can only have two countdown clocks in the same sig!!!

In the mean time, I will keep an eye on your countdown clocks!!!

I don't remember if I posted our info. Phil and I are in 7010 and Allan and Jen are in 2000 something (senior moment LOL) I don't remember the cabin number.

Andy-- I laughed when I read your post about the dog and checking the door. We have a cat who does that and if the phone rings and she is right there stares at it until someone answers it. She seems to think it might be for her. I wrote down the title and author of the book on the Panama Canal by cruise ship. I am either going to order it from Amazon or try to find it in the bookstore. I think I'll give it to DH for our anniversery in September.
Off now to try and get some house cleaning done. Estelle

OK Andy, now you're getting me worried. When we first decided to go on a Disney cruise, we thought it would be our cruise of a lifetime. Now here we are booked for #2!

Then I read how you and others are booked for even more, oh my!!! This is an addiction, but what a great addiction it is! We're just going to be good savers and put aside a bit each month.

Looking forward to seeing your counter for CA to FL after your August 2004 trip!

Barbara

DD and myself at the Grand Californian for three nights. Figured could not go all that way without going to Disneyland!LOL

Anybody else planning getting there early?

Of course Andy, we wouldn't have it any other way! Aren't you coming out to spend at least a day or two at DL and DCA? But for the night before the cruise, we may consider booking a hotel room since we'll have to leave our car somewhere for 14 days!

Thanks for looking into this Susan (and thank your TA too!)!

OK guys I finished the sheet in between daughter's soccer practice and her unsuccessful tryout for her a rep hockey team so the list is on the FIRST post of this thread, Page 1. If I've misspelt (or is that misspelled) names or missed you PLEASE pm me and I will change it.
Maybe when Travis has a page going for this he may want to put it over there. Anyway hopefully it will be OK for now.

Cheers,
Grumbo

We are booked for the CA to FL. Originally had the FL to CA . But decided that August would be better since we are doing the 10 day in December. DH is not very excited about this cruise, he's doing it for me. He wanted to know if we are ever going to spend some real time at WDW. Only did 4 days at WDW in January.

DH, me and DD Sandra turning 8 on embarkation day 8/20/05.

Cat 6, cabin 6624. VERANDAHMAN - you can sit on our verandah anytime. (Glad you are feeling so well.)

Couldn't pass it up. Not certain DH will be able to go because of the cruise being 14 days but I booked him anyway. If he can't go and I can't find anyone else to take his place I will end up paying adult fare for DD. That doesn't thrill me but I think the experience of cruising the canal will be worth it for her.

I'll be watching this thread for tips on airfare (NJ to CA and then FL to NJ), transportation to the port, and other stuff. DD and I were at Disneyland last Aug for her birthday. What a great place to visit! We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel on DVC points and loved it. Wish we could add on another visit but just don't know if I can take that much time, 14 days plus travel day is already pushing the vacation envelope!

See ya'll!

:Pinkbounc Hi everyone! Our family will be joining you too: me, DH, DD12 and DD10 (ages at time of sailing). We're from Thornton, Colorado and we'll be staying in stateroom 5500. I am SO excited about this cruise!

My boss is probably going to freak out as it is, asking for two weeks off at the same time, do I dare ask for three weeks??? LOL!!!
