It wouldn't be lost on me! I love Tim McGraw and Allan loves Faith Hill. I'm 50 next year and my birthday wish is to travel to wherever I have to, to see Tim in concert. Allan will be 60 18 months after my 50th and he wants to do the same travel but to see Brookes and Dunn. I bet this is lost on a lot of people too!

Pam

Not lost on me at all. DH has seen Tim McGraw in concert (and I think Faith Hill too). We saw Brookes and Dunn too. We have a signed picture from them (we got to meet them in their trailer). DH used to work for a Country radio station as a DJ, so we got free tickets to all the concerts they had a part in.

We're pretty well rounded in our concert goings. We've seen Aerosmith (twice), Meatloaf, Melissa Etheridge (twice), Garth Brooks, The Grateful Dead (twice), Tom Petty, and our personal favorite Pearl Jam (we saw them 3 times last year alone, and too many other times to count). Kmiles - we went to the PJ VFC concert in Kissimmee last October. We've been to a ton of other shows, I just can't remember them all and don't feel like thinking of them right now, but as you can see...we've seen quite a variety of bands.

Cool!

I watched some of the VFC concert series on Showtime last year. Would have been much better in person, I'm sure.

Yes, between Allan and I we've seen loads. As he says, we have very catholic tastes. As I type this I am listening to a radio programme 'The Organist Entertains' - music played on theatre and concert organs, at the moment WWII tunes as we get ready to celebrate 60th anniversay of VE Day. In March I saw Toby Keith in Richmond VA, and last year I saw Simon and Garfunkel. We love Kylie (do you know Kylie Minogue?), we saw Garth a few years ago, one of our favourites. We saw Willie Nelson a couple of years, Allan loves Billy Joel live, so as you see, if it's music and live, we love it.

Pam

Marty Jay, that is too cute, unfortuneately, it is also too big. YOu may need to import the picture to photoshop and make it smaller. I don't know how to do that, but others here can help.

Keep forgetting to add my two pennies worth about immunisations. I went to see my nurse for my regular diabetes check last week and said that we were going to Mexico. She didn't even hesitate and said, Hep A and Typhoid. When I told her we were cruising and had received information not to eat and drink off the ship, she said fine, as it was a cruise the Health Service didn't consider it a necessity to have the jabs.

I think that's me posted out for the day. I'm off to have a hot bath and write up some dance steps ready for our lesson tomorrow. Have a good evening.

Pam

Ok, third times a charm.........right? If this doesn't work Ill wait till hubby gets home and I'm sure he'll figure it out in less time than I ( I've tried for an hour already.......I guess I'm a little more than computer unsavy ) Anyways, we told the kids on the weekend that we were going on the cruise and they flipped. I just couldn't hide it anymore. I was ready to burst. We also decided that since we had the cat 4 cabin that sleeps five, that as a early mother's day gift we would offer to take my mum with us. She was able to get the time off work, and is going to join us. Now we just have to book our airmiles and find a hotel in San Pedro for the night before the cruise. Oh ya, and start shopping..................

Thanks for the help trying to get my picture in my signature.......

Hey MJ - very cute - so why didn't I see them when I was up in Victoria for 24 hours a couple of weeks ago?

Cheers

It was an awesome show. We actually saw them at their 2 shows in Boston leading up to the VFC tour. It was amazing. I think I'll refrain from posting any of the details here to avoid insulting anyone, but I'm sure you can imagine some of it. Did you hear about the band "Gob Roberts"? It was a band that Tim Robbins formed for the VFC tour. It was pretty funny. We were sitting in our seats waiting for the show to start and standing about 5 feet from us was Susan Sarandon. I didn't bother her though. I wanted her to be able to enjoy herself too.

That was the concert where I surprised Jamie big time. I pushed this guy that was over 6 feet tall and about 250 because he was in my space. We had aisle seats in the front section and everyone was trying to get up there. He was trying to push his way into my seat area so he wouldn't get caught and sent back to his seat. I pushed him away and said "take 2 steps back". He said no, so I called security over. He was sent back to his seat. He had choice words for me as he was being forced to leave. All he had to do was take 2 steps back. I didn't want 250 pounds of sweaty drunk flesh touching me.

Awesome show though...

and we saw Britney a couple of years ago (for DD's sake) but Pam's probably ashamed to mention that one! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

If you use photobucket you can choose an option under EDIT: 50% of photo. Simple

KMiles & Marsha -

From what I understand, the FL Resident rates for the May Repo are not as good as the Day 1 booking rates, but are better than the rack rates you get now from DCL. Wouldn't hurt to check either way though!

No time for PMs. I'm heading up to my mom's. It is likely she had a heart attack. There is blockage in 3 arteries and she will undergo surgery tomorrow morning. Prayers and Pixie Dust appreciated. I'll check in when I can. Thanks.

Tracy

OMG Tracy, I'm so sorry to hear that! I will be sending good thoughts your way. Just checked in as a little break and I'm really sorry to hear this. Both of my parents had similar issues and I know what you are going through. I hope she comes through with flying colors.

Tracy - not the news we were hoping and praying for, but it's good they're acting on it quickly.

Continued prayers for your Mom's surgery and recovery and for you as you go through this with her. :grouphug:
