We haven't done the pin thing in quite some time (just haven't had any time/haven't made it to WDW in a few years) but we would love to do some trading on the cruise. Are people bringing pins?
Lisa -

Yes! We are bringing our trading pin bags on the August cruise. I hope other are bringing their pins and planning on doing some trading, too!!

I just booked the 50th Tour in Disneyland for May 27. We're doing the 4th rotation at 5:40 so we get the preferred seating for the fireworks!!! I tried to get the Discover the Magic tour, but it is not offered most weekdays. So instead of reviewing the Discover the Magic tour, I will review the 50th tour for the newsletter. I can't wait!! Only 23 days and we will be arriving in Southern California!!

While I'm thinking about it, the deadline for the next newsletter will be May 13, but the sooner, the better. I'm gonna be taking a few days off in the next week (hopefully will know more today), so the sooner I get the materials, the better the chance they will be in the next newsletter. The June 1 newsletter will have as much info from the Westbound Cruise as I can fit in.

People will still buy them if they are a LE Edition of 5000 vs. just 500.
Erica -

I agree. On something is special as these cruises, edition size does not matter to me.

But people will complain about 5000 being too many just as 500 is too few.

DD will probably bring a limited amount of her traders.

I had purchased approx. 150 for her to trade with since we are doing DL and cruise!

I don't have many pins, but here they are:

The Harambe I traded for on Saturday and, of course, quite a few of these babies:

OK, Nancy. Can you please list all of your pins now? ;)

Ok, it has been forever since I have been here...

Verandah Man- is it true, you are not going, I hope I am not being to personal here...

Izzamac- I sent our check to you be but I sent it from Work in a Wells Fargo envelope. The check does have Tim McGraw on it, but I am sure it will be lost on you... :earboy2:

Here is just some of my pin collection I have listed on PinPics.com - I have many, many more in my collection that I never put on my list there. This also does not include any of my traders (a couple hundred).

I saw what I believe was some of them on Friday. She's got a few, that's all I can say! Nancy, you could post one picture per post and get our counts up there! :rotfl2:

Okay -- I've solved my Pin problem. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'll simply allocate enough weight to bring my cat Fagan (named after the Oliver Twist character) a/k/a Fat Boy with me on the cruise. Of course I may have to pay excess baggage fees, and for a life jacket with a built in GPS locator (so when he goes overboard he can be found), but nobody stands between him & his food, so if I tell him there is fresh food at the end of the line I'll get a pin everyday.

We used to be really big into pins until we had to make the decision between continuing with our WDW/pin trading "habit" or buying a house. We decided to put that stuff on the back burner for a while but I'd love to get back into it. I just don't know if anyone would be interested in our "old" pins. We haven't purchased in quite some time.

Tracy - I didn't even think to take you over to the other side of our basement to show you my pin collection! Duh! Then again Megan looked too comfy sitting on your lap and we just ran out of time! Next time you'll have to come down for a whole weekend!!

If I posted one picture per post that would increase my post counts, too!! I'd even top Mel for the #1 spot! Here are the current top 25 posters on this thread:

Wow, I have 2 binders of Mickey Pins, and I thought that was way too many.

Lisa, the old pins are actually great traders, especially for people who have only started collecting and/or trading recently. They may be old cheapies to you, but you never know who is looking for them. My traders are down to about 10 or 20, and most times I just give them to cute kids. I guess I am not really a trader, as I keep almost all I buy and just trade one for one. Except this one time, (not a band camp) I did trade an Artist Choice Halloween DL/DCA pin for 2 Pooh Santas that were not in the clearance box at TDS.

I found my headphones!!!! They were in my console box. Last time I used them was on a flight home in February! Can you tell I listen to my CDs a lot???????

All of today's errands are done. I really would like to take a nap, but that is agaist doctors orders. She really makes retirement NO FUN!!!!!

Now that the Westbound cruisers have received their documents, has Disney told them when the Formal/Semi-Formal/and special theme nights will be for sure? I would like to have this information so I can plan my Palo nights. Can anyone help?

Hi,
Haven't been posting, but certainly enjoying reading these boards. Trying to figure out how to get a picture on my messages ( but am fairly computer unsavy ). There should be a cute picture of my Golden Retriever and Scooby here............ Let's see what happens..........

Hello all...I usually lurk and just caught up from page 838 over the weekend.

We live in a small enclave west of Seattle, Washington. If any of you saw the Extreme Makeover Home Edition with the family from Kingston, Washington that is our town. It was the episode with the ferry boats crossing over from Seattle...

Yes, saw that EMHE programme which was on TV over here only recently, strangely enough while Allan was actually in Seattle. I take note of your tale, and I know our complacency will catch us out. I am going to try to take home security more seriously from now on.
