Regarding formal nights, my DD12, Brianne will be wearing a bridemaid gown that she is in a upcoming wedding on may 14th. The gown is light green with chiffon and a wrap.
Hey Mel, Rachel can still wear last year's formal dress, which is also mint green chiffon with a wrap! Brianne and Rachel will be twins!

Yes, I know how you feel. Joy was born two days after our first wedding anniversary and she has been my excuse for missing our anniversary every since! For years, I truly spent so much time planning and worrying about her special day, I totally forgot ours!

Pam

Lindsay's birthday is exactly one week before my birthday and 10 days before Howard's birthday. So we spend 2 weeks celebrating our birthdays as a whole family. Works for us. The Dr. had planned on inducing Lindsay on Howard's birthday, he was not happy about that, didn't want to share his day. Due to more complications they ended up having to do it on the 7th, worked out great. Of course Howard loves to remind me I'm older (by a whole whopping 3 days)

My Aunt celebrates her birthday month. She expects to be pampered for the whole month.

Adding to this...our youngest DD (7 in about a week) was a tenth anniversary present, arriving 1 day before our anniversary.

Re: Formal Night...In the past we didn't go too formal. Well, last weekend, Linda and Alyssa both found formal gowns. So, this trip I'm getting a tux. Well, at least it's one less suit to pack! Of course, that's offset by the gowns and shoes!

Prayers and PD for your MIL Mel...thank you for updating.

Nancy-Prayers and PD for your family as well.

Glad to hear Mary's and Amanda's surgery went well...As for you Izzimac-Get to work!! What's for dinner?

I just got out of chat with Melinda. She was hoping to have good news for all of us about her MIL tonight. Things were looking better this morning and she had plans to have surgery today to put in the feeding tube.

However, this evening they got a call about MIL. Apparently when the surgery was done to put in the feeding tube, there was an artery cut, but not noticed. About an hour later she started bleeding out of her trach, nose and mouth. It is not looking good. Please say a prayer and send pixie dust for Marguerite and the family. Bob is going to be with her right now.

Mel and Bob, we're thinking of you and here for you if you need us! :grouphug:

Wow, You have really beautiful daughters. Are they joining you in August?

Pam

Hi Pam...no, unfortunately I am leaving behind all three kids and hubby.....my son and one DD are in college and I can't bring the youngest and not the others....hubby loves DCL but said he can't do a 2 week cruise....so....I am sacrificing myself (LOL!!) and will be cruising with 2 dear friends who are all really into Disney and have extensive collections....we have all been to Disneyland Paris together and they have even been to Tokyo Disneyland a few times!!! We are all very excited about this cruise. Plus, splitting all costs three ways is proving to be very inexpensive for all of us!!! :flower:

Melinda, I hope all is going better for you MIL. Please know that I am sending out good thoughts for you entire family.

Can't wait to hear how well Amanda can see now.

Another rainy dreary day here. I have a conflict, I am supposed to be in an online chat for a survey group, but there is a book signing that I really want to go to at the same time. I have to think on this.

Y'all have a great day.

Mixed emotions this AM.

Sad to hear the news about Marguerite. Mel, Bob and family you are in our thoughts.

But also glad to hear that Amanda, Mary, Addison and Dan are faring well.

Also, sending pixie dust for Nancy's family.

Now you have me worried! Not sure I'll be able to handle all the intensity and decision making that goes with retirement! Life is supposed to be simplier!!!

I really want to go to the signing, but I am afraid I won't get to see him. If I hop in the shower now, I should be able to get there in time, it starts at 10am.

Wish me luck.

Got an e-mail from Mel this morning. Nothing new to report. When I hear from her later, I'll let everyone know.
