Lynn--

You beat me to posting that! I was just going to share that info over here too. :)

Sounds very interesting. A three night continuing murder mystery... Kind of like a mini-series! :teeth:

Well, the COP is official. I will need it by day 5!!!!! But she isn't staying in the world after.

Marsha! Shame on you! Do you plan on throwing the old lady overboard after day 5????!!!!!!

Bob, you know, there is no fool like an old fool!!!!! Don't get me wrong, I love my mother. But after 3 days, she can drive me to drink! At least I have plenty of bar cash. I won't throw her overboard. I promise. I'll just send her over to visit with you! She is a staunch Liberal Democrat, y'all can have some lively discussions.

Ohhh....

Note to self: Plus two points to Marsha's Mom.

At least we know you were raised right, Marsha. ;) I'll have to buy your mom a drink and chat with her sometime.

She will talk your ear off.

OK, my investigative powers are lacking. Will the DISer from Jean Nevada please PM me?

I like the sound of her!

Pam - I called Cruiseline Formalwear on the phone this morning. Yes, they are renting for the 14-day Disney repo cruises. It is the same price as a 7-day ($85), since it is not a back-to-back 14-day - lucky us on the price break! You can reserve now online and it will go into a holding file, but you cannot book over the phone yet because they will not have the August sailings in their system for another month.

I found my formal gown yesterday at the Talbot's Outlet (brick & mortar store)! Yippee!! It's sleeveless, sheer burned-velvet, part silk, flounce at the bottom in a dusty rose color. $198 originally, marked $54 and then 50% off of that. Final price $27!! [/B][/I]

Nancy, thanks so much for the information. I've just spoken to Allan on the phone from Seattle and he tells me that we have an e-mail in from the Formal Hire people giving us the same info. He is 6,000 miles away but knows this before me! Someone doesn't have enough to do!

I love the sound of your special dress and I love the sound of the price even more. My sister got married December just gone and I wore a long dress for that, so it's going to get another outing!

Let's see, we already have an "in" with a local who knows where the good bars are. Seems to me we can make our own fun. :cool1: :cool1: Anyone up for the Ship of Fools pub crawl?

Count Allan and I in for this one! Have you just landed yourself with arranging an outing?

Pam

I will get caught up on the posts later tonight, but QUICK lunch post here!

~~~Last day to order Survivor DCL t-shirts from imagestation for their $5.99 per shirt price (usually $11.99 - others have purchased these and are very pleased), free shipping too! I placed our order at lunch. See other site for download of image. Thank you to it's creator - won't say the name here and we all know why!~~~ ( :love1: creator of this image!!!) ~~~
I emailed him concerning my fustration about getting some solid figures together for the night cliff diving excursion -- :banana: :banana: :banana:
Here is what he said.
If it’s dinner it costs $35 USD per person, for drinks it costs $16.50 per person I recommend that someone.like you, collects the cover charge for the whole group and pays up front to avoid a huge line. You have to pay in advance.
I can call the restaurant to set aside a good area for your group, at the cruise terminal there are many cab drivers, so no problem. Another option is to go via a local TA, I could refer you a very good one this way you pay him directly and he arranges bus and immediate entrance to the restaurant.
Taxis or bus ? Bus would make it easier for group travel .... and I figure you will need to add the cost of the taxi in.
I will write up an insert for the next newsletter -- plus the girl from Shoretrips can set up the multimedia show at the Fort + the dive show -- Will post when I get any additional information.
Thanks Erica!!! Count our family of four in. We're up for anything. Don't plan to eat in the ports, but whatever works out is fine. I'll be looking for what to do to get this arranged for you. Really appreciate your leg-work on this! :cheer2:
My feelings exactly :rolleyes:
(Sure wish they would give up the overnight and just add another port -- if anyone from DCL is reading this -- hint hint) :rolleyes1 :listen:
How about this......... skip the overnight in Acapulco and spend two days at CC? After all those sea days, I am definitely going to be ready for dry land !
Ed
:wave2: Hi guys!
Grumbo, can you please PM me? I just tried to PM you but you're not accepting them these days. Regarding Nat...
Many thanks!
Kendra
And now back to your scheduled conversation.... pirate:
I could so go for two days at CC. :love:
I still wish they would push the canal crossing to an earlier date and give us an extra port after. From Curacao we could go to Puerto Rico or Jamaica and then head to Castaway Cay. Or, we could even hit Aruba prior to Curacao. Or, St. Lucia, St. Thomas, or Anguilla.
The posibilities are next to endless!
Come on DCL! Give us another port!
Thanks for the reminder Barbara! I just ordered our shirts and couldn't believe how easy it was. I had put it off thinking the downloading and uploading of the image was going to be over my head. But "someone" made it very easy and I sure do appreciate that! Now we will have this really cool shirt. Thank you!!
Darlene
OK - Im addicted to imagestation. I just placed my 3rd order of the 5.99 t-shirts. Marsha sent me the pin logo and I bought all 4 of us shirts with that on to wear on embarkation day. Should make for a nice photo.
Cant make 4 shirts for the $24 they charged me
Bus sounds good, count me in as long as the kids clubs are open and running for this.
Count me for the nighttime divers too. There would be 4 of us.
What a beautiful day today was! I took the day off because Victoria is off this week from school.
Victoria learned to ride her two wheeled bike. She can ride a 2 wheeler but because she is so tiny she couldn't stop the bike without hopping off and/or falling before. She was very excited!
Took my first ever golf lesson then hit the driving range. It made a big difference in the consistency of my drives. I still stink though. Victoria and I went miniature golfing and had fun after!
We went to Savin Rock Beach for our first warm weather beachside WHOLE BELLY clam dinner! MMMM MMM love those clams!
I can't wait for my new camera to arrive this week! If anyone sees great deals on memory cards, let me know! It's still not very green here in CT and though the daffodils are out, I don't have any images in mind for the spring photo contest!
Pam - consider this checking in with you, how are you?
