Thanks Barbara for being excited for me!
As far as Ebay Gymboree sales--one ended yesterday @ $39.00 (4 like new dresses of hers) and one ended today @ $60.09 (about 8 outfits). Better than dealing with the aggravation of garage sales and getting $1.00 each! Plus this helps me with my cause when I tell Shawn she's outgrown her clothes and needs more.:rotfl:

Oh--and Addison will be 2 on April 16th!! TIME FLIES!!! Nancy's daughter (Perdita) Emma will be 2 on the 15th--one day apart! Pretty cool!

I don't even want to start making a list such as that for fear of the anxiety that it will provoke.

Heh heh you crack me up, I totally understand.

I'm perplexed about how/why people have their cruises paid up. I'm such a cheapo I want to pay at the last minute and collect every penny I can while it sits in the bank.

I'll post it in the rolodex too for future reference. :wave2:

Great find, Jenny!

I'm with you, Robin. We've always paid off our cruises just before the due date. In fact, we actually paid one off on the due date by using the old Storyteller Phones under Spaceship Earth! We just happened to be at Disney and remembered we had to pay it off. ;)

Dearest Arlene (mississaguamom), Martin, and Lara too,

We came home today from lunch and shopping, and there was a wonderful large envelope in our mailbox!!! The kids and I were so very excited! What a package it was! Thank you very much for the “Into the Fire” and “Wishes” video! We cannot wait to watch it together when Brian comes home tonight (Yippee!!!). Please tell Martin a special thank-you for all he did to make the video too!

Inside were more special treasures from Canada!!! The stickers were beautiful, Marissa and I cannot wait to enjoy them. Of course, Mari was thrilled to receive the special Belle lip balm, she loves Belle! And, the two Canadian pens are wonderful too. We will think of you all every time we write with these! Also, thank you very much for the Canadian coin key chain for Matt. He collects coins, so to have this is terrific!

I cannot tell you how much your friendship means to me, and we all cannot wait to meet you, Martin, and Lara in August!!! How blessed we are to have such wonderful friends in Canada.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Awwwww, I didn't get to see today's riddle until after work, and I knew this one instantly!! I love baseball! Great riddle Bob!

I won't be giving up my money until I have to...it will collect interest for me for as long as possible! Every dollar helps.

Grumbo, I checked with MS and verified that May 22 is the first day to book excursions, and you must be paid up.

Well for me if I have it sitting there, there is always something else to spend it on :)
I'd rather have it paid and done. As for the "interest" you'll collect... :rotfl2:
Last time I checked the amount of interest I'd make on that amount of money might get me a Happy meal at MacDonalds.
I guess its what you're comfortable with, but if the car needs fixing, I need a pacemaker or new eye glasses, I know the important things been paid for.
The CRUISE :cool1:

Cheers,
Grumbo

I'm with you Grumbo! It feels good to have things paid and off of my mind. I don't have to worry about the due dates, etc. Time has a way of sneaking up on you. I am ready to cruise! :cool1:

I with you too. I always wait til the last minute to pay it off. With all the interest the bank is paying me, I can buy myself a Bahama Mama! :cool1: (Of course thats about it, but hey, it's something.) ;)

Jennifer

I'm with Grumbo -- rather pay it off sooner than later. The amount of interest is so small.

I use the online banking - even though they draft the money from the account immediately - no float time vs. paper checks since I figure I'm coming out ahead from the savings on stamps :cool1:

The amount of interest may be small, but better in my account than Disney's!

Where is everyone tonight? No one in chat either. :sad2: I miss ya'll!

I had to take dd to our pediatrician today for a strange allergic reaction. All is AOK on that front.

We love our pediatrician, the office has seen our children since they were infants. One of our nurses there had told Dh that no shots were needed for the trip. Well, I asked our dr. today and he said "yes," we should all get Hep. A. Kids should be AOK with their tetanus shots until age 15. Adults should have updated tetanus shots for such a trip. Make certain to obtain the adult tetanus shot. The pediatric version is often given to adults due to more availability in offices, and this often causes lots of swelling according to our physician. The adult version should not.

So, dd got her Hep. A shot today and needs to get her booster in one year. I will take Matt to get it soon, as well as make an appt. for Brian and I.

FYI. Also, here is a website with info. on Hep. A.

http://www.immunizationinfo.org/vaccineInfo/vaccine_detail.cfv?id=3#available

This shot does not have the mercury base in it according to our doctor. (This was important to me.) DD seemed a bit tired today, but that is all. The shot site did not swell, she did not have any other symptoms. He did say that she would not probably have any side-effects as she is older. May be different for the little ones.

big cheeser & pampat:

I sent Allan a PM re: SOF wristbands.

No rush to answer, just an FYI in case PMs are new to you!

Thanks! :)

We took Lindsay to the ped today too. Her dr. also said she should have the Hep A, so even though Lindsay wasn't expecting a shot, she still got one. I'll have to make my appointment. We're pretty sure Howard got one in the Navy, but I'll have to dig out his papers and check to make sure.

By the way Barbara, first thing out of Dr.s mouth was that we needed to have Lindsay's speech evaluated. I was laughing.

Donna

Well Donna, our dds both had their shots today and they sure did not expect one! That is better, because it is over with quickly. Hope Lindsay did well with hers. :)

Well, your dr. is telling you what you've been working on all along! You are a good mom and on top of things. Your Lindsay is a beautiful little girl!

OK, time for bed here. I'm getting ds ready to take a week trip with my parents and two cousins to Orlando. Wish I could fit into his suitcase! I think maybe we'll take Mari to DL on Sunday as we need a Disney fix. I hope we can work that in this weekend.

Take care Donna!

Bob just told me this morning that we are going to AAA tomorrow morning together!!
I said, "To pay off the cruise????" and he just flashed a SMILE!!!!! :sunny:
We also getting DL tickets too!!!

 :cheer2:  :cheer2:  :cheer2:

Oh, what a beautiful MORNING!!!!!!! :dancer:

Just a reminder, the newsletter will come out tomorrow morning (as soon as it's finished :rotfl2: ). I only have one birthday for the first half of April and NO anniversaries. If you want your event (or SO or child's), please let me know by tonight! Thanks!

Diary Of A Woman On Her 1st Cruise

Dear Diary:

MONDAY: I felt singularly honored this evening
as the Captain asked me to dine at his table.

TUESDAY: I spent the entire afternoon on the
bridge with the Captain. He is so charming

WEDNESDAY: The Captain made several
proposals to me unbecoming an officer and
a gentleman.

THURSDAY: Tonight the Captain threatened
to sink the ship if I do not give in to his indecent
proposals!

FRIDAY: This afternoon I saved 1600 lives...
twice!!!

When you first step on Cruise Ship for the very first time:

The first time you see your cabin, you say, "What could be smaller than this?" Then you open the bathroom door!

"The pool must be ocean water. Look at the size of the waves."

The top ten dumb questions asked by passengers on Cruise ships:

"Will this elevator take me to the front of the ship?"
"Do these stairs go up or down?"
"How far are we above sea level?"
"Does the crew sleep on board?" (No, we tow them in the life boats.) "
"Do the ship generate it's own electricity?" (No, we pull an extension cord from Miami.)
To photographers: "If the photos aren't marked, how do we know which ones are ours?"
"Is the water in the toilet fresh water or sea water?" (I don't know, I haven't tasted it.)
"What do you do with the ice carvings after they've melted?"
"Is there music in the Disco?"
"What time is the Midnight Buffet?"
