OK, so whatever happened to our Survivor Logo? Wasn't it supposed to be put up on the other site so we could download it? I really want to add that to my collection of shirts for our cruise.

Marsha,
i am so sorry and i hope you will be OK!! Please take it easy!!! Let us know how are you doing!!

Hello Fools and assorted visitors. Last night was a very bad night for me. I took Max out and slipped on the ice that formed because the STUPID builder refuses to put gutters up and the water that drips off the roof freezes all the way down out driveway. Now, I can not bend my knee more then about 25% nor can I straighten it. Of course, I have no established doctor, so as soon as 8am rolls around, I will have to start calling those on the list that are accepting new patients. I spent the night in the guest roon with my knee supported by a pillow. And DH has gone to New York City for the next 3 days. This is gonna be fun.

ANyone want to come play taxi driver?

I'm so sorry to hear this! I would recommend an orthopedic doctor/surgeon.

Keep us updated!

Marsha,

From someone who suffers with many knee problems I will keep sending up goot thoughts and PD for you. I hope you find a good doc and he or she can take care of this problem for you. Rest and funny as it sounds, ice the knee to bring the swelling down. I have my last two PT sessions this week from my slip on the ice in January. I have seen a big difference with taking all my PT sessions, if they are prescribed, make sure you make your appointments!!!

It is on the other site, but there is no link there to it. The link will be in the newsletter tonight! (I'd give it to you, but it is at home  ) Maybe I should go there now?

PS it must have been a bad weekend for injuries! After getting out of the shower I noticed that the toe I stubbed is turning Funky Colours! I think I broke the thing!LOL

If anyone wants to switch to the "practice" cruise, there are cabins available in every category, but cat 10 (not counting 1,2 or 3). Since today is their 60 day mark, it looks like quite a few people changed their minds. I wonder what the availability will look like on our cruise when June 20 gets here.

Marsha -- :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Take care of that knee with lots of ice & rest -- and see a Dr. as soon as possible.

Marsha-- sorry about the fall. Lots of pd and thoughts from a double knee replacement recipient. Everyone is right see dr asap and probably should be an orthopedic person.

Anyone who has children, adult or not and needs a good laugh try thisl
http://users.erols.com/geary/psychology/publication.htm

Have friend who sent it to me. I've printed it out to take to the day care. Will give everyone there a laugh.

We have lovely blue skies and a very chilly wind. Hoping for rain later in the week and no snow. Very tired of snow.

Everyone take care. Estelle :teeth:

I am pretty sure I am going to go this route for Emma (using a belt-positioning booster, aka a backless booster seat). At the time of the cruise in Aug. she will meet the age & height requirements and probably the weight requirement (or be very close).

I got to thinking about how I *thought* we only needed it for the shuttle from LAX to HISP, and then realized I may need it for the HISP shuttle to the port and the port-to-MCO bus (Mark is checking on the bus co.'s requirements, if any).

This booster will just be soooo much easier to travel with than her behemoth car seat. The booster is smaller, light weight and we can stash it in the luggage for our flight & then under the bed on the cruise (thanx for the storage offer Marsha, but I think we've found a solution!!).

If anyone is interested, these type booster seats typically cost about $15 and you can get them at ToysRUs, Walmart, etc. The requirements on ours (a Cosco) are at least one year of age, 29" tall and 30 pounds. These are federally approved for use in a motor vehicle, though not FAA approved.

Thanx, everyone for helping me "think outloud" to try and solve this problem. I hope others with car seat issues find a solution that is workable for them, too!

I may look into just getting a booster instead of the fold-up car seat. Kaleigh will be almost 3 by the cruise.

Marsha: Sorry about your fall. Hope your knee is feeling better.

Not happy about no DVC discounts at TDS. It helped defray the cost a bit, especially since I have a 2 year old daughter. I do miss the adult items.

Back from the ER. Nothing broken, but they suspect severe ligament damage. Tomorrow I will see the ortho.

Thanks for all the PD and good vibes. I hope that tomorrows doc says it's just a really bad sprain and that I should rest. Um, sure, I have a dog to walk and steps to climb.

Lunch time for me!
