Just Released!

Edition 3!

Please let me know if you have any problems. I did this a little different this time.

Tracy

Because of the high quality of the product, I will forgive you (this time) for being late on meeting my deadline! Nice job again!

I almost needed to be rushed to the hospital last night for starvation, but as long as Bob is happy, it was worth it :rotfl2:

Truth be told, I ate while finishing it up!

Watching the Weather Channel last night (while watching 18 million feet of snow falling) we saw that the temperature yesterday in Orlando was 75 degrees. That got us to thinking that we might even be able to handle the VERY high humidity in summer if we moved there. Anyone know of a pension firm hiring pension administrators is Orlando?? :goodvibes

The oly thing bad about moving down there is that my parents would still be here in PA. When I have a child next year, they'll miss all the fun!

Those of you who ordered the free stuff from chadwicks .com.... did you get an order confirmation??? I didn't get any thing and am wondering if my order went thru????
I received an order confirmation email almost immediately after my internet order was placed on Sunday evening. That email said I would get another email confirming shipping (haven't gotten that one yet though).

Maybe you should call and confirm? I know that when I called yesterday to add on the free shipping, they didn't ask for an order or customer number. They were able to find my order just by my name. Good Luck!!

I read the newsletter very late last night and need to go back and print it out. Great job and much appreciated!

Read the newsletter last night and another great job done by Tracy!!!!! :cheer2:

Like the nautical background too!!!

The snow wasn't that bad here at all, maybe about 3-5 inch snowfall at most. It made for sloppy roads and some spinouts, but not what was predicted. I made my early morning run into Manhatten and it was easy going. I was back at the shop by 11:30am and ready to move onto the next project.

Here's is a copy of my latest e-mail from Group services.

In response to my question about a photographer at our meet:
A photographer shouldn't be to hard to get. It's $85 for him/her for the hour plus the cost of pictures.

In response to my request for the Capt. or Cruise Director to stop by:
As we get closer and once we know which Captain will be onboard, we can ask to see if they will come in to say hello. Each Captain and CD is different.

In response to my question about a seperate boarding line for our group:
I'll be very very honest with you when it comes to the separate lines, it's typically much quicker for everyone if they use standard check in lines. Much quicker. For those guests are repeats, they will check in the Castaway Club Line. We've tried the separate lines before with groups and it we get more negative feedback regarding than positive. Makes for a hard way to start their cruise.

I'll take the photos for a couple of drinks, and they'll probably be as good as theirs :)
Trouble is they won't print the larger format photos for us I'm sure. My previous subjects never complained about the portraits I did of them!! ;)

Cheers,
Grumbo

NOt that i am a cheapie, but to pay for the photographer to take a few shots of our group????? I mean, he will make lots of $$$ by us buying the photos as is...

I'm from the South, so I need help! I get confused easily! Please splain this to me!!!

So we gotta pay them money to take our picture so they can have a picture of us that we can buy from them???? I must be missin' somthin'!!!!

Someone will take digital images of our group and it'll be posted on a site so we can all order one. Agreed?

I'm sure we can snag someone to take an image!

Mark,

On our past two October cruises, we had a photographer from Shutters come to a designated place and take pictures of our group. One time it was in from of Lumiere's and the was out on the secret deck. They took a bunch of pics and took a count of how many of us wanted to buy them and that was it. We just went to Shutters later in the day and told them that we wanted to pick up a group picture. I don't remember anything about having to pay the photographer. I'll ask on our Cruisetoberfest thread to see if this happened. If it didn't, then maybe we should wait until we're on the ship to request this. I mean we do have a lot of time on the ship so that shouldn't be a big deal to find a photographer available.

We went to a cm party at DCA last night, and they had Disneyland Trivia. We got in line and I answered maybe 75% correctly. I just knew I'd get to the front of the line and answer wrong. I got a really easy question (though I don't even remember it now), so I got my pin. Then it was Howards turn. They asked him whose name window read 7 seas something or other. I was so happy I actually knew the answer. They started reading the multiple choice questions and Howard looks at me. When the said the answer I shook my head. The answer was Frank G Wells. So Howard answers, the wells guy. So now I've got two pins. We tried again an hour later, for free movie tickets, but they gave out all the prizes before we could get to the front of the line.

If you're interested heres a pic of what our pins look like
http://www.pinpics.com/cgi-bin/group.cgi?group=2289&pin=36897

We had fun yesterday, saw Aviator, ate at Granvilles steakhouse then went to DCA. My sis was there also (as her fiance also works there), and we wouldn't walk five feet without someone stopping us to say Hi. It's so funny when the parks are filled with only CMs.

I'm thinking mark asked about pics during the meet to have them around to take general pics, if that's the case then I do understand why they would charge a fee. I'm guessing if we just asked for a general pic in an off time (and letting them pic the time?) that it might not cost, or maybe not nearly as much.

If that is the case, then I too also understand why they would charge a fee.

I asked the question about charging on our Cruisetoberfest thread and here's the answer I got.

Yes Renee,
it was 'just' the $19.95 for each print - and IMHO we deserved a rebate on that one. Calling up another $85 is a rip-off!!!

Anyway, Mark, can you tell us if the photographer is for the meet to walk around or for a group pic somewhere?

Thanks,

Reneé
