We just got a call from DCL that we have cleared the waitlist for a Cat 3. The one they currently have open is 8602, at the very back of the ship. I know it is a handicap cabin and the verandah is huge, and not at all private, but does anyone know anything else about this cabin? We have until noon tomorrow to call them back.

The ship can carry 2400 passengers max. So, 500 would represent about 20% of the maximum capacity of the ship. A little over 1/5.

Stateroom wise we represent 173 of the 875. 19.7%

Could those folks who have requested bus service to MCO after the cruise PM me their departing airline and departure times. The airline info is to see which side of the airport you'll need to be dropped off at and the time is to coordinate the bus leaving the port and to make sure that those with earlier departures leave as early as possible.

Those intending to continue their already long vacation plans might want to take the bus to MCO for a car rental. The rates to pick-up and return to MCO can sometimes be about 1/2 the cost of rentals from the port and dropping off at MCO.

Possible Bus To MCO after cruise-Update

Are there any more people interested yet?? Our total so far is 90, and there is room for 55 per bus or 110 passengers in total.

If we use Mears Transportation and manage to fill the bus (capacity 55) the final cost will be $7.29 per person. If bus leaves the Port by 10:00am or so, it should put us at Orlando Airport by 11:00am. Cost for bus is 401.25 and tip is included as per my contact. Departing Airline is needed to make sure you are dropped off at correct side of terminal.

Some people have mentioned the bus times seem a little late. We can make our pick up time anytime we want and if we have 2 buses they can have different pick up times. Those with earlier flights will be put onto the earlier bus regardless of which bus you are now set for.

Oh, cool! That's about halfway between us and my inlaws so we pass by there occasionally. I can never get DH to stop but with the outlet there.... bwahahahahaha.

My greetings to Amanda are late, but hope you have a really good celebration at the weekend. I adored being 30, but I was still single then, but I seemed to 'grow into my skin' then.

DebM - nice to meet you. Big Cheeser (my DH) and I are fairly new here too, but everyone makes you so welcome, as you will have already found out. You won't be a newcomer for long!

I'm off tomorrow on my trip to Richmond VA and DC. I think their weather is just about the same as ours, but it bad weather is just an excuse to hang around in the shops. Thanks for the tip about discounts at Talbots. This is one of my favourite shops to visit.

Have a good 10 days - I will have to spend all weekend when I get back (in 11 days) just catching up with pages and pages of posts again!

I really wanted to post a joke for Jenny, but I can't think of any clean ones! I'll work on it Jen, I know you appreciate a good laugh.

The East Coast of the US is getting slammed with a huge winter storm...not sure if it is affecting as far south as DC, but here in NY it started to snow around 5:00 pm and they expect up to 14 inches by morning. Just check the airport you are flying into to make sure flights are not delyed getting in.
