Did you book the POP direct through Disney or did you book with someone else? We're going down for a long weekend with my family in May and we'll be staying there. I've stayed there before, but I'm wondering about the Magical Express. We want to book the POP through AAA because it's cheaper, but how does the Magical Express work? Sorry, I know I should ask this on the WDW boards, but I don't like going there. I like it here. :lovestruc

My understanding with magical express is that it doesn't matter who you book through you can still use it. I have no clue how you make the arrangements for it though.

just noticed this Jenny

Gotta love it :)

:teeth: Did I spell it wrong? It looks funny. It's not the arctic today...it was 52 degrees when I was out during lunch. Gotta love it. The Big Thaw is still on :umbrella: , but it's supposed to drop for the weekend with highs only near 30. :cold:

That's what I thought. I know disney.com says to book through them or call your travel agent, so I'm sure I can do that.

Just a fun fact: The guy in that commercial with the pictures/frames sitting at the desk is the inventor of the commercial. He is French and decided to put himself in the commercial. (There was an article about him in the TV Guide.)

To answer the Magical Express questions -

You can arrange it as a round trip MCO/WDW/MCO or one way MCO/WDW or WDW/MCO. It doesn't matter with whom you book, TA or direct. It is free, they send you special luggage tags for your bags and I assume that they meet you at the luggage control after you have claimed your bags, take them from you, and send them to your resort. (Although the WDW Site claims you don't have to see them after you check in, but I am, leary of that). They will take them from you upon check out (or earlier) and return them to the airport. You will get a ride in a bus from MCO to WDW and or Return. I don't know when in May it starts, check wdw.com.

NOW, here is the fun part for those of us going to the world after. I would prefer not to rent a car as it just sits in the lot, but it is cheaper than taking a town car R/T at the rate I got. As we are not Land/Sea clients, DCL sin't going to shuttle us to the resort after. What I want to do is tell a little fib, pretending to arrive at MCO via a scheduled flight, give them my bags and get to POP via ME. Then return to MCO the same way. I don't recommend ANY of you doing this, I will see if I can work it out. But I will not be surprised if it is a hassle and a half.

How about a joke?

Old Lady Driving on Highway

Sitting on the side of the highway waiting to catch speeding drivers, a State Police Officer sees a car puttering along at 22 MPH. He thinks to himself, This driver is just as dangerous as a speeder!" So he turns on his lights and pulls the driver over. Approaching the car, he notices that there are five old ladies -- two in the front seat and three in the back -- wide eyed and white as ghosts. The driver, obviously confused, says to him, Officer, I don't understand, I was doing exactly the speed limit! What seems to be the problem?" Ma'am," the officer replies, you weren't speeding, but you should know that driving slower than the speed limit can also be a danger to other drivers." Slower than the speed limit? No sir, I was doing the speed limit exactly... Twenty-two miles an hour!" the old woman says a bit proudly. The State Police officer, trying to contain a chuckle explains to her that 22" was the route number, not the speed limit. A bit embarrassed, the woman grinned and thanked the officer for pointing out her error. But before I let you go, Ma'am, I have to ask... Is everyone in this car OK? These women seem awfully shaken and they haven't muttered a single peep this whole time," the officer asks. Oh, they'll be all right in a minute officer. We just got off Route 119."

:moped: :rotfl2:

Here's one for all of you that are at "work" right now (just like me).

For a couple years I 've been blaming it on lack of sleep and too much pressure from my job, but now I found out the real reason: I'm tired because I'm overworked. The population of this country is 237 million. 104 million are retired. That leaves 133 million to do the work. There are 85 million in school, which leaves 48 million to do the work. Of this there are 29 million employed by the federal government, leaving 19 million to do the work. 2.8 million are in the Armed Forces, which leaves 16.2 million to do the work. Take from the total the 14,800,000 people who work for State and City Governments and that leaves 1.4 million to do the work. At any given time there are 188,000 people in hospitals, leaving 1,212,000 to do the work. Now, there are 1,211,998 people in prisons. That leaves just two people to do the work. You and me. And you're sitting at your computer reading jokes.

:teeth:

:cat:

Grumbo the "poor little tyke" will be with his parents in another cabin. Somehow when I first signed on someone decided that our friends' little boy was with us and not them. :teeth:

Marsha the lanyard looks super. I think I signed up for two. But if I didn't we would like 2. Thanks. Let me know when you know the cost and postage. And I'll send it to you. :cheer2:

Susan I will definately have Harry #6 with me. I hope I can refrain from starting the minute it arrives. But I'll force myself not to start it. Once I do that I will have to read all of it. :wizard:

Had Sun this morning and now have rain. But at least it isn't snow. :umbrella:

OK, I ordered a sample and asked for lime green. It came via UPS, so here it is. Just need to add the clip for the tag. Also, use your imagination and picture it printed "Ship of Fools, 2005" in navy block letters on it.

Curacau Liqueur is available here. It is usually Blue, it is what is used to colour Blue Hawaiians Blue! I believe it is an orange flavored liqueur, but not as bold as say Grand Marnier. There is an excursion that offers a factory tour (with a free taste at the end?) I believe. I will probably do that excursion. And it is not only blue, it comes in clear, green and yellow.

Lanyard looks great (along with that nametag, lol). I can't wait to get ours. One question - is that ring on the end like a key chain ring or a solid ring? Just trying to figure out how to attach the clips for the nametags.

Solid ring. The clips I use are flat, with a snap on one end and the clip on the other. You thread the snap end through the ring and snap it shut. I'll see if I can find a picture of one and edit later! Now I need to go to the basement and find the box with my other lanyards, bathing suits, binoculars, water safe box, etc.

Later, Dudes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ETA go here:http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid158/pacc66cc6d72e3f10362d311d4142aa20/f51d92ea.jpg

and look at the first one. Easier than cutting copying sending to host and linking!

We have had the DCL buses shuttle us to the resorts twice -- once to Coronado Springs and once to Port Orleans. If you call DCL, and pay for the RT transfer, they will shuttle you to the resort and then make arrangements back to the airport. Unless they stopped doing it since 2002.

I know I can PAY for it, but Magical Express is included with the Resort stay! Free!!!!!! One thing about WDW/DCL et al, they don't talk to each other about a lot of things.
