Hi!

Bonzie1 from the sister cruise thread. I'd like to order 2 pins. Could you also sign me up for your newsletter? Thanks! Please let me know the amount and method of payment.

Soon it will be time to cruise! :boat:

Have the Westbounders found out anything yet about formal days or any other information yet?

/
Boy, my computer crashes and before I can get it back up and also do some work (I do have to do that to ;) ) So much is happening! I'll get to the PMs later (did I mention I have work to do :) )

We made a decision from the start that the newsletter would only be for Eastbound cruisers. I assure all you westbounders everything that we can share with others is listed on this thread. The newsletter contains some surprises that we don't want to be public knowledge at this time. We also have passwords for different online things. These online places are not public forums and we would like to keep it that way. Just like I'm sure you would not want all of us in your private chats, etc., we want to keep it between ourselves (we already have problems at times with too many people there). Please understand some of our cruisers have a problem with too much of the information (particularly the pre and post cruise plans) being so easily accessible to the world. We haven't excluded Westbounders, we have just agreed to allow only Eastbounders and those DISers who are joining us for other events pre and post cruise to get the newsletter.

Saturday night I will ask our group for their opinions (feel free to give them to me now too) as far as a modified newsletter for anyone. This could be posted on our sister site (which unfortunately cannot be posted here due to DIS restrictions). This would only include product to order and onboard events and the articles, etc. with the agreement of the contributor and the editor.

Again, we're not trying to exclude anyone, just protect our families and ourselves. Thanks for understanding.

Tracy :lovestruc

Blue Bayou has great atmosphere. Make sure that you make those ressies. We also love Goofys kitchen for breakfast and for dinner.

Bonnie, I believe that Jeanne has ordered the medallions but I don't believe that she has been back on to know about the matts.

Off to work for Maternal Child Skills day which is required EVERY year.

MARK: Please count us in for three mats. :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

SANDY: You are right. I have ordered three of EVERYTHING!!!

BONNIE: I also signed Joyce & I up for the bus from the Port to MCO so if you are going right home after the cruise :boat: you may want to book the bus too.

Well off to work. Pretty miserable weatherwise in N.J. started out with rain :umbrella: & now it is supposed to get cold :cold: & possible snow! Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

Mom2Belle&PeterPan, BigCheeser (Allan) doesn't really have 'flu. It's a man thing - he has a chill! And if only he had had his 'flu jab, like I did, he wouldn't even have that. So, no sympathy for him please, it just encourages him!

I am off to DC for 3 days mid March after a few days in Richmond Virginia. I've not been to either place, I'm travelling with my sister. Any tips for either location for us? I've tourist guides for DC, but what about Richmond? Any ideas?

Blue Bayou: Make it a "MUST" on your DL list! We ate there on our DL trip last June. Got an 'opening' ressie and thus a seat right on the water. A suggestion though: bring a mini flashlight/penlight to read the menu. It's dark because of the theming and we had to pass the candle around! The restaurant is very fun! Is it the Monte Cristo that's famous there? I am having a brain fart and can't remember right now.

DL suggestions: 2 things I wanted to share about DL - 1st, I got a lot of helpful DL info over at the message boards on MouseInfo.com and 2nd, there is a great buffet at DL past the end of Main Street on the right. I don't remember the name (anyone?) but you go through a little courtyard to get to the entrance. Enjoy!

Mats: Won't Mark's mat look great with our group photo in it? Probably an 8x10, no?

Planning: I thinks it's great that everyone is sharing their various planning stages! It helps everyone else stay on track and maybe catch something they might have forgotten. Thanx!

So.. with all this pre-shopping for the cruise .... I'd like to up my totals too :wizard:

Pins -- 6
Medallions - 4
Lanyards - 3
Matts - 2 please - one of each style (if you are doing two types - Mark)
-- and I'd like to pay for S&H too !

On a related topic - we aren't going to get some lithos from DCL -- what type of mailing tube - size should we bring to get them home safely.

I doubt that DCL has given them any firm info. For the 10 day, DCL was telling everyone that asked something different and when we checked in there was a listing on the mini navigator that had all the nights listed and what their themes would be. We ended up with 2 formal and 1 semi-formal.

For the lithos, I'm not sure I would recommend a poster tube for them. We bought some pictures (sorta like lithos) from the Yoda Guy (check out yodaguy.com) and his wife told us NOT to try and put them on anything hard or roll them up. She told us to just put them in the suitcase between layers of clothes and to let them shift a little, otherwise they would be more likely to get damaged. We did as she said and our pictures from them and our litho from DCL arrive home in perfect condition. If you roll it up in a poster tube make sure you put in at the last possible time and take it out as soon as you can otherwise it will be permanently rolled up (and a pain to frame). I know this from experience with other posters (thick ones like the lithos) that we have flown with.

Question for you West Coast DL experts. Can you make advanced Priority Seating arrangements for Blue Bayou? If not, what is the best strategy for getting in. I know we want to do it at least once, probably early lunch.

DL and DCA PS ressies can be made @ the 30 day mark. Unless they have changed their PS rules. Check the DL sight under dining and it will tell you for sure. I am 95% sure it is at the 30 day mark.

Blue Bayou is a MUST! Try their Monte Cristo! My personal favorite! :cheer2: Coolest restaurant on property!
