PRIORITY DINING RESSIES

I just got off the phone with DL Dining Ressies. According to the girl, you can make dining reservations for PARK restaurants only 6-weeks in advance. However, you can make dining reservations for HOTEL restaurants 60 days in advance.

We're going to try for the Blue Bayou, Wine Country Trattoria (California Adventure) and maybe Goofy's Kitchen (Disneyland Hotel) for breakfast on the morning of the 20th, before we leave for the pier. What better way to prepare for the cruise than to have Goofy cook your breakfast? :rotfl:

:rotfl: ;)

Have a great trip to DC!!!

Mom2Belle&PeterPan, BigCheeser (Allan) doesn't really have 'flu. It's a man thing - he has a chill! And if only he had had his 'flu jab, like I did, he wouldn't even have that. So, no sympathy for him please, it just encourages him!

I am off to DC for 3 days mid March after a few days in Richmond Virginia. I've not been to either place, I'm travelling with my sister. Any tips for either location for us? I've tourist guides for DC, but what about Richmond? Any ideas?

CAN I ASK YOU TO CHECK THE PAGE 1 LIST OF CRUISERS FOR CORRECTIONS PLEASE?

The map of cruisers, on the other site, is being updated using the Page 1 list, and info provided by the cruisers themselves. I know some folks have dropped out, some gtys have received cabin numbers, and some that had cabin numbers have changed and now have gtys. If you could PM Jazzman and/or me and we'll try and get the list up to date.
Thanks

Cheers,

Wow!! Been busy and absent form the boards for 2 days and it took me an hour to catch up! Thank God for Addison's nap time!

MARK---Love the mats..............count me in for 2 sets. Let me know prices when it's time.

SUSAN---count me in for 2 of those awesome medallions, too.

I'm ordering 2 of everything since my best friend has yet to post here!!

NANCY--can't wait for Addison to meet Emma. So glad there's a girl her exact age. Seemed all the other ones were at least 3!!

Would join chat this Sat. night but I will be in Tampa at a Duran Duran concert. I am a child of th '80's!! (would rather see Depeche Mode or Peter Murphy, but I'll settle for Duran Duran.)

Hello everyone!

Mark, would you please add me to the list for one mat? I would be glad to pay postage upfront also.

Susan, would you please add me to the list for one medallion?

Just let me know how I go about paying you both.

Thanks!

Make breakfast and other dining ressies for DL at 30 days out

Hey, once I see it in writing, I got more done than I realized. However, I still have to come face to face with the packing issue  !! I am the worst packer ever. And since I am already getting door magnets from Piglet and Andy and ordering pins and t-shirts and putting aside brochures and info, I'll have a suitcase full before I know it. :scared1:

However, IMO, I think the planning part is 50% of the fun!

Wow!! One night's worth of post took up my lunch hour.Guess I'll just have to stop going to school on Wednesday night. :cool1:

For those thinking about food at DL, my fav is storytellers in the GC. They have an all you can eat at night or order off the menu. There is a character breakfast as well but I haven't done that.

Could I too please have a copy of the Matt? Let me know what I owe with shipping and include some kind of handling, it looks amazing.

The cafe press idea is great.

Now some questions:

Did I read correctly that some GTY folks have cabin numbers? Will DU contact me or will I need to contact them when they are assigned?

Anyone else taking the morning Song flight out of MCO and want to share a limo?

Done:
Flight from MCO to LA
Hojo's
Bus from Hojo to port paid for.
Bus from port to MCO arranged.
Part time job to pay for everything

To be done:
Room for family at WDW to pick up daughter (time share hopefully)
Transport from LAX to Hojo (limo companies contacted)
Flight from MCO to BWI (come southwest release those dates!!!!)
Work the part time job to pay for everything

Now to get my income tax refund and pay off the cruise.

Renee, I noticed that you are renting a car to and from the airport. What made you decide to do that rather than say leaving your car at the airport or taking a cab?

It was cheaper for me to do that. I only paid $40 through Priceline for the mini-van from Newark Airport to home and only $80 for the mini-van from home to Philly airport. There is no way I could get those prices either for parking our car at the airport or using a limo or taxi.

Eye RN I totally agree re the Story Teller's Cafe!!!
We went to DL last year and didn't really research too much and really wanted a late lunch. We ended up there and had the buffet. It was very reasonable, the food was great and the wait staff were excellent. I have a bunch of photos of the light fixtures which are copper with Western motif cut outs. Doesn't sound interesting I'm sure but they are fascinating. If you want something casual, great food and right beside the parks this is a great place :)

Cheers,

I agree with Piglet - we are going to be gone for a total of 24 days and to park the car at the airport would cost between $170 to $200. We can get Rapid Rover round trip for only $90 total (with tip). Plus we don't have to schlep our luggage on the shuttle from the parking lot or back.

Hi Denine - just saw your reference to Hilton Head - we've not made it there yet - is it as good as OKW or Vero? :wave2:

It is very relaxing, which is what we need right now. It is also closer to home or we may just go to Vero Beach. Of course, I'd rather be at my home away from home, OKW!

Isn't OKW just the best - especially when you drive in for the first night and the security guard jokes with you and says "Welcome Home" - we always turn and look at each other (usually after the long haul from the UK) and there's always a tear in our eye. We like other DVC places especially Vero Beach and the Green Cabin Room / Sonia's brunch - but OKW is where our heart lies. :sunny: and that's where we'll spend 3 nightsto unwind from the Magic before we head back over the pond to UK

Cheers

Allan

Just for info, Disney are running transfers to and from the Magic - we're going from DH and returning to OKW via transfers (at least that's what our TA tells us)

Allan :moped:

congrats to my DW (Pam) on her 40 very something birthday tomorrow and to Piglet33 on her celebration on Saturday.

Hopefully you'll both get what you deserve!!!! :rotfl:

We're not DVC members nor have we ever actually stayed at Old Key West overnight but we love Olivia's.

They make the BEST Mai Tai's on property! :)

Allan: Yes, the other DVC resorts are nice, but they don't compare to OKW!

Mark: 1 matt please

Susan: 1 more medallion please.

Renee: I am so excited to get our nametags!

DONE:
airfare to and from Columbus airport
hotel to stay in night before trip to LAX
cruise booked
travel insurance
bus form HOJO to port
HOJO's
Bus from port to MCO

Need to do:
Shuttle from LAX to HOJO
PS for dining in DL
excurions

I don't think I missed anything.

and for now folks - we're off to watch Las Vegas - another one of our favourite places - meanwhile as DD's hero Ryan would say - "Big Cheeser - out!" :rotfl2:
