Hi Gang! My last post was on page 30-something. I have read up to page 140 and then from 600 to here. Eventually I will finish off 141-599, LOL!

Tinkerbel129 (Lori) is my bestest Disney friend  and since we talk on the phone a couple of times a week :hyper2: and she has been current on this thread, she has kept me up on the major happenings. :chat:

But I thought it was time to jump back in the fray (yes, I am afraid, very afraid).

I have sent PMs replying to the different offerings (lanyard, nametag, wine tasting, DIS meet, MCO bus, newsletter). I am looking forward to the newsletter, Tracy!

I know I need to get a pic & bio over to Jason on that other site. And do I need to sign up for the Yahoo Group?

I am exhausted just keeping track of it all!! ;) But for the trip of a lifetime it's worth it. :) :jumping1:

Okay time to go back to reading the thread - I'm sure 5 new pages have been generated while I was composing this post. :thewave:

Welcome Nancy! I've added you to my two things.

The newsletter is definitely all set (unless Melinda sends me a Letter to the Editor :teeth: ) Bill reviewed it and says it looks good! I will make it into a pdf and send a link to everyone to find it. Due to bandwith capacities, I will not send it to you, but rather point you to it. Please do not post the link here as some of the items on the newsletter are for Fools Eyes Only and this is a public forum. Thank you for your cooperation!

Possible Bus To MCO after cruise-Update

Are there any more people interested yet?? Our total so far is 69, and there is room for 57 per bus

If we use Mears Transportation and manage to fill the bus (capacity 57) the final cost will be $7.04 per person. If bus leaves the Port by 10:00am or so, it should put us at Orlando Airport by 11:00am. Cost for bus is 401.25 and tip is included as per my contact. Departing Airline is needed to make sure you are dropped off at correct side of terminal.

Also Bmwdsny is linking early dining, and EileenAmI is linking late dining, so that a few DISboard friends can eat at the same rotation and sit near each other. We have about 90 linked so far...Mark

Sunday afternoon would be best, but Monday afternoon would most likely work too (so long as I don't have to edit it ;) )

Hi,

If you know the page, you can enter it in the URL. For example, this post of yours is on page 628:

http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=560179&page=628&pp=15

Just change the 628 to the page number you want to find and wa-la!

Hope this helps!

Barbara

Question for you all....is there any way to search this individual thread to get directly to a specific page number or post number??? I found the index page back in the 300 page section and find it helpful that all the pages for individual topics are listed, but is there any easy way to access those pages without scrolling through individually??

Thanks!!!

MJ

I wanted to let you all know that our pediatrician said that if you are going to be eating anything in Mexico or the Caribbean you should get the Hepatitis A shots. If you aren't going to eat local food then you don't need it. Otherwise she doesn't know of any vacines you need to get. She told me to check with the cruise line though to see what they recommend.

Thank God about the vaccines. Addison has had 2 moderate reactions to those darned vaccines--one at 4 months (hospitalized for 2 days) and one recently at 18 months! They're over-vaccinated now a days in my opinion. Not a fan of them...........one major reason I'm having no more kids........can't go through them AGAIN. I know reactions are rare--but when it's your kid..............it's not cool.
Off of my soap box now.........

Hi Gassmandy,
The vaccines are overdone...as a parent to an autistic son I'm well aware of the arguments. I was born in 1961, what I was vaccinated with is a fraction of what my son, DOB 7/8/90 was vaccinated with, and the babies today have an even heavier load. I tell everyone I know to question, get one shot at a time, etc...the extra cost in $$$ or inconvience is well worth it. If I had a child today they would get no vaccines...would be homeschooled to protect them from measles, chicken pox, etc...This is a huge issue, and while at some point I'm certain we'll all be compensated, there isn't enough money in the world to make up for the anguish. I had measles, chickenpox, etc...I turned out just fine. All these kids with sensitivities ??? They're not just fine.

Do you know whether Disney will send us a printed brochure with excursions prior to cruising?

I'm sure they will, but why wait? That's what this board is for. We pass along info to each other at a faster rate then DCL does...Mark

Thanks Kathy! I will be checking with our pediatrician when our DD goes in for her check-up in a couple of weeks. She turns 8 on Monday! My little princess: is a big kid now! :cheer2:

Anyway, we planned on bringing bottled water from the ship and fruit from the ship if we are going to be off the ship for awhile. We were eating in Mazatlan a few year's ago while cruising. Three out of five of us got REALLY sick. DD was 3 at the time and I had brought stuff for her to eat and drink. We are not repeating THAT history again! I felt really bad for our cabin steward (will not go into details  ).

As far as Hep. A vaccine. I know we won't be getting any vaccination for Hep. A. If you eat in restaurants (esp. buffets) you have been exposed to Hep. A numerous times. Hep. A is not the type of Hepatitis to be overly concerned about. Hep. B and Hep. C are a bigger concern. Hep. B there is a vaccination for and Hep. C there is no vaccine for. :teacher:

THE LOVING HUSBAND

Several men are in the locker room of a golf club. A cell phone rings on a bench and a man engages the hands-free speaker function and begins to talk. Everyone else in the room stops to listen.

MAN: "Hello."
WOMAN: "Honey, it's me. Are you at the club?"
MAN: "Yes."
WOMAN: "I am at the mall now and found this beautiful leather coat. It's only $1,000. Is it OK if I buy it?"
MAN: "Sure,...go ahead if you like it that much."
WOMAN: "I also stopped by the Mercedes dealership and saw the new 2005 models. I saw one I really liked."
MAN: "How much?"
WOMAN: ""80,000."
MAN: "OK, but for that price I want it with all the options."
WOMAN: "Great! Oh, and one more thing...the house we wanted last year is back on the market. They're asking $950,000."
MAN: "Well, then go ahead and give them an offer, but just offer $900,000."
WOMAN: "OK. I'll see you later! I love you!"
MAN: "Bye, I love you, too."

The man hangs up. The other men in the locker room are looking at him in astonishment.

Then he asks, "Anyone know who this phone belongs to?" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
