Thanks DU for paying for the goodies at the wine tasting.

And thanks Tracey for all the work.

As to the lanyards we have two votes for bringing the Magic home. I don't know that there will be a problem since we (at least some of us) already have shirts that say that on them. And they even have a picture of the ship. I think the only thing Andy had to make sure of was that the picture was his not something Disney took.

Marsha I would be willing to send you a check for the lanyards and an envelope to put them in to mail to us. Will send extra to cover the postage. And watch out for that tire money.

Opinions please...............should they say "Ship of Fools, 2005" or "Bringing the Magic Home, 2005"?

I vote for Ship of Fools especially since that's what I'm putting on the name tags!

I'll get the clear plastic holders for the KTTW and just use a punch for Renees Fool's card.

Cheers,
Grumbo

No need for that since the laminating stuff I'm getting already has the holes in them! I think they're the little rectangle holes, which would have fit great on the metal clips. Now I'm wondering how they'll be with the round circles. Maybe if we send you a SSAE with our money and then you can send them to us so they won't weigh down your luggage.

We gotta stick with "Fools". Who else would try to put round circles in square holes????

Just a heads up that the meeting times have been added to the West Coast Excursions. :)

Walt Disney World Resorts) Irish hospitality and a bit of blarney will be coming to Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World Resort in the form of an authentic Irish pub and restaurant. Scheduled to open in summer 2005, the pub (yet to be named) will feature the very best of Irish food, flair, heritage and entertainment.

The Irish culture is known for its warmth, character and hospitality, and the new Downtown Disney pub promises to deliver an experience immersed in genuine Irish atmosphere -- from food and drink to music and entertainment.

The pub will be warm and welcoming with one-of-a-kind fixtures and furnishings -- all designed and built in Ireland by Irish craftspeople. Additional decor items include Irish antiques and bric-a-brac.

Traditional and contemporary Irish music, storytelling and dance will help create a lively social ambience and the friendly pub staff will bring Emerald Isle charm to Downtown Disney.

The restaurant's gastronomic delights will be the work of Chef Kevin Dundon, one of Ireland's best-known chefs. He will introduce a menu that blends traditional Irish fare and fresh ingredients, all with a modern flair. Chef Dundon's credits include cooking for celebrities and heads of state, overseeing deluxe international hotel cuisine, opening a premiere hotel and restaurant, and appearing in his own television series.

"We are thrilled to introduce an authentic Irish pub to Downtown Disney," said Ed Baklor, vice president of Downtown Disney. "The superior level of quality, energy and appeal that this new venue brings is a perfect complement to Downtown Disney's lineup of world-class retail, dining and entertainment."

The pub will be owned and operated by Great Irish Pubs Florida, Inc., the Irish-owned company that previously created "Nine Fine Irishmen" at the New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

"We are working extremely hard here in Ireland preparing to deliver what we believe will be the very best expression of Irish hospitality ever seen in the U.S.," said Paul Nolan, one of the establishment's co-owners. "We are extremely proud and excited to have the opportunity to bring a real slice of Ireland to Downtown Disney."

The Irish pub will occupy the building that formerly housed The Jazz Company. Pleasure Island club admission will not be required for entrance to the pub.

A big thank you to DU for sponsoring our wine party!

I really have no preferance for either of the sayings. I'll take either one.

The B&B we went to this past weekend was Irish. An all Irish theme with an Irish breakfast. They even sponsor a trip to Ireland every year. Really nice place. Rated one of the top 15 B&B's in North America.

I see my father already voted for 5 people for the "fools" verbage.......I'm assuming he took the liberty of voting for the 3 in my group?? Thanks dear old dad!

Also--thank you to Renee for doing the name tags and to Tracy for all you have organized as far as DU and the wine tasting party. That's so awesome!
I wasn't on the boards all day yesterday and had about 10 pages to catch up on!! Had to take Addison to the Dr.'s--we found a lump on her neck and while I felt that it was just a swollen lymph node....my dh was a nervous wreck and wouldn't let it die till I made an appt. for her! Well--I was RIGHT!! Just a lymph node. So all's calm again in my house.

Welcome to all the new Fools in the past few days. There are some wild and crazy people here! I keep telling my friend Heather to post--she lurks but said she's nervous to post. Can we blame her? LOL!!

Amanda, Glad all is well for Addison..You just can't take any lumps for granted. :flower:

Tell Heather not to get itimatdated. They boys are harmless!! She is welcome here anytime!!

Well, okay, then since there are 3 of us I guess I submit three votes for "Bringing Home the Magic 2005".

I'm going to buy a silver clip on my own and add it to the lanyard. I think that's the best idea so if someone wants one, they can just get it themselves. I should probably be able to get one at Staples, I would think.
