Regarding the space bags, I thought they looked interesting too. The part that concerns me is that my luggage weighs a ton just by my regular packing. If I could fit 20% more in my suitcase I don't think I could pick it up. In fact on our last Disney cruise we had a bag that weighed too much. So I wouldn't have to pay the $100 or so they wanted for overweight bags I started taking out my shoes (which I brought WAY, WAY, WAY too many of!!!) and putting them in my carry on bag.

I read on another thread that the stateroom host/hostess will bring the vacum to you if you ask.

I have a set of them, I guess they are OK, but they hold less than they show on TV. If you try to put a king comforter in the extra large bag, it won't stay sucked. I have one of the packing ones, but they will wrinkle your stuff up like crazy. Just pack less!

As to how you would find out if it is true? Well, it's doubtful that you could. Unless Roy Disney makes some sort of statement pertaining to the topic and that's probably doubtful too. I would imagine that DCL wouldn't release that information unless given permission to do so.

As for why someone would make that up? Who knows. I've heard so many outrageous rumors from Disney guests, Disney CMs and others that I wish I had a dime for each one.

Here's an example: My mom cruised with Royal Caribbean last summer. Her waiter actually told her that DCL was actually owned by the parent company of Royal Caribbean and that they just didn't disclose that info.

Wait! I'm not saying that it couldn't be true. I don't claim to know for certain one way or the other. I'm just guessing that there's more rumor to it than fact.

well, she seems to be telling the truth, but i guess the question is..Was the DCL rep telling the truth????
I guess we won't find out for sure unless we see in PRINT by Roy himself or we actually see him face to face!!

I was speaking to a DCL representative about my West Coast cruise when she mentioned that she (the CM) was going on the CA-FL repo cruise. I told her how jealous I was of her, and I wished I was going too. She then mentioned unprompted that Roy Disney was booked in the (his room, her words) and she was SO EXCITED!!! She even said that she planned on bringing a few items hoping to get Roy to autograph them. She also noted that Roy and his wife are the Godparents of the Magic, hence why they are sailing with them. She also was talking to me about the owner of the travel agency I use and what a nice guy he is. I completely believe her, and would believe that Roy is currently booked on the CA-FL cruise, but of course that can change! I live in Princeton, NJ and grew up in Red Bank, so nowhere near Morris County!! I hope you enjoy the Repo, I wish we could go, but unforunately the timing of both the Repo's didn't work out for us. With the first being during school, and the second being during Cheerleading practice for DD, we couldn't take either. I'll just have to settle for the West Coast sailing....Lori

I really believe she was telling me the truth because she was REALLY excited. I talked with this DCL rep for about 15 minutes about this and other things, she was one of the really nice, talkative ones. So, take it for what it is, I was told that Roy Disney is booked on the CA- FL sailing and staying in the Roy Disney Suite (named for his father). I have worked out the details on this with Karmel Coach and would like to get this finalized with everyone who wants to use the bus. I will send individual PMs or email with details. We are getting a 56 pax bus, and if everyone on my list is going, we have 48. So we have a little room left if anyone wants to add on. We will have TWO pick up points-HoJo's and the Grand Californian. Right now we have 45 leaving from HoJo's and 3 from GC. IT IS SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY,AUGUST 20, 9:30 AM PICK UP AT HOJOs

The bus is a flat rate of $376.20 for the trip. I plan on collecting $10 per person. Figured that was the easiest way to do it, so that we weren't dealing with per person rate changes as our size grew or diminished. If it stays at 48-50, obviously I will have collected more than the cost of the bus, but I figured as a group we could use some of it for a tip, and refund the rest. I'll bring a bag of quarters!!! Also, I want to make this nonrefundable except for dire emergencies, once again to avoid the ups and downs of per person rates and to make sure we cover the bus cost whether you show up or not. I figure this is the fairest for all involved. Believe me, this is not a money maker for me!

For my own use, I also arranged with Karmel an airport pick up for myself and Gassmandy. Aug 16 (Hope that is the right date!). LAX to HoJos for up to 7 people in an exclusive use van was $81.69. If anyone is interested, I can give you info on that also. One thing I found out - California law requires car seats for under 6, and California law will not allow the carrier to provide them. If you have young ones, bring car seats. Car seats are not required on the bus!

I'll send bus details to those on the list! One more task out of the way! Almost!

When my room cleared Disney indicated that I lucked out because Roy is staying in his suite, and we could get the other suite. Is is a long complicated story how we got the suite, but Disney was pretty confident that Roy was staing in 8530. So I would take that bet

Call me crazy but I'm sticking with my original take on the whole situation. I'd still bet that Roy Disney isn't going to be on the cruise.

As I've mentioned, I've heard about every rumor there is from Disney CMs. Lights, Motors, Actions is going to be a wild west attraction; Spaceship Earth is being rehabbed into a roller-coster type ride; and on, and on, and on.

I'm taking it with a grain of salt as I don't place a lot of trust in the "heard it through the grapevine" stories.
