Sure, but you'll leave us hanging!!;)

O.K. folks, this Dis thread will close for 1 1/2 hours every day so that Melinda can work. Now Melinda repeat after me, " You're O.K. kid, now go back to class"...Mark

oh you are funny!! too funny!!:rolleyes:I have done it before! I was a full time School Nurse before moving to PA and i said it many many times!! KIDS!!!

Gee, maybe i shouldn't left NJ...Estelle, do we get checks like this in PA???

Oh Andrew. it wll be a LONG TIME before i join that thread(paid up dance)!! This time i am paying for the cruise with CASH, not DVC points!!:(

I just went to get my mail and got a airline confirmation change for my flight to LA...(change only to 15 mins later) anyway...

On it, is says:

"New Airline Domestic Baggage Rules:
2 Checked Bags Maximum 50 Pounds Each!!"

:earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

I think my suitcase alone is 50 lbs!!!! Or it seems like it! Whatever happen to 70 lbs????

I am going to gone for 3 weeks!!! I mind as well be naked the whole time on the cruise!!!

IT is the PITS.. MAN!!!!

Do not tell grumbo you will be naked, that got me into a lot of trouble last time.

I hope that paying it off before the election is the best thing, rates for the £ could fall again after it.

Depends who gets in and what they then do!!

Airlines it is difficult, I bet it is to do with the cost of fuel, they need less if the flight is lighter, and of course they charge you if your luggage is over!!

Just think of it I am coming across with a familiy of four for three weeks two days, thats going to be a problem on cases, anyway most people take far too much and bring it back again.

Save space for all of thoose Disney store stuff.

What airline is that from?

I am flying on Delta

BUT

It looks like it applies to all airlines because this confirmation was from my TA- AAA and it is a general statement from AAA about the new baggage rules..

Yikes. When I flew in August, one of my bags (the bigger one) was 72 pounds. They didn't charge me for the 2 pounds over, but warned me about next time. The problem is, we bought new luggage and I swear all the new luggage starts out weighing like 20 pounds!

a check for $1350.71 for Escrow Overage!!!! I can't believe it. Last week, we got a check from NJ state for $600 for that property tax refund thingy. I'm thinking this is going to pay for quite a few drinks on the ship for this cruise.

Sorry - just had to share this with someone.

OK I'll volunteer then. Share it with me. In fact to show you how magnanimous I can be I'll only take 1/3. Thanks Renee. You're the best.

Cheers,
Grumbo

I know the weight limit for Continental is 50 pounds, because we just flew them a couple of weeks ago.

I just check Frontier's website and they're limit is 2 bags not to exceed 50 pounds each too.

Looks like we'll be doing lots of laundry on the ship.

Can you imagine 1000+ people scramming into the laundry room??? How many are there?? 2 or 3??
maybe we can ask DCL and ask if they can dedicated to one laundry room to the Fools only!!! and then we can work among ourselves to use the machine at different times..

Arlene, i got it....While we are wearing our hats having Tea, our husbands can spend the time in the laundry room folding clothes!! ::yes::

Air Canada is 2 pieces of luggage, 32 kgs each (70 lbs).
Think I'm telling DW its 50 lbs though. Less stuff to pick up at Costco that way :)

Cheers,
Grumbo

Yikes -- I'd better keep checking Jet Blues site - since they seem the only airline that will allow 3 bags at 70 lbs. each.

Though -- Melinda -- I just checked Delta -- and they do limit to 2 bags at 50 lbs - they only charge $ 25. if it ways between 51 to 70 lbs. However - double check your tickets since if you are booked on Song (their low cost airline) - you are allowed 3 bags - of 50 lbs.

Heh -- 1 garmet bag, 1 lg. suitcase & a medium for souveniors adds up :Pinkbounc

That is because generally speaking Canadian men are heavier than American men so therefore they need that extra 20 pounds to pack extra large clothes in....I mean, aren't you the 1st guy in the yellow suit (or is it red??) in that picture that Mark posted awhile back????

well i am flying home on SONG!!! Well i better double check and call if that is the case!! AAA made it sounds like it applies to ALL airlines!!!! Also, i don't wanna pay $25, that is money i can used for EXCURSIONS and drinks!!! right Mark???

GOTTA GO, my DH just got home.....Trouble's a brewing!!!!

(will get back later) SHHH!!

Oh Melinda, Melinda ... I was so nice and left your other thread and now you start dising me here.
You DO know I can find your home phone number, ask for Bob and advise this is your ISP and that we have to ask for extra money due to the amount of downloads and internet use during prime daytime periods you know ;)

Cheers,
Grumbo

Piglet33 - such an adorable photo of Haley!!!

Be careful Melinda, once you go back, you are there for good, lol! Do what I did, hire a cleaning team...now that's the ticket!

Arlene, dh is a seasoned scuba diver, though has not dove much in past years due to us his family. Not sure I'll let him give up a port day to dive...shame on me. Perhaps if there is a short dive???

JGE: Could you stop the ship somewhere in the middle of the ocean and host a dive for the guys while we girls go to the spa?

Estelle, I WANNA GO TO THE CIRCUS TOO!

Andrew- Hurray for the payoff, hope the dollar stays as is for you or lowers for the trip.

REAL QUESTION HERE:

What time do you have your rental cars ready for you at Port Canaveral? I put 9:00 a.m., but thinking we want to get to IOA early...it's our one day to see it before we head back to our sunny state on Sunday.

Barbara (PS Any takers for a tequila shots contest??? Used to do 10 shots when I was a mere 103 pounds in the old college days, but now only could only do 2 or 3 and I won't tell you my weight now... OK, dh would say my twin Gemini side is emerging today. Time to take dd soon to her Religious Ed. class...the old CCD class for them of you who are Catholic like me this Irish Catholic. - Gotta get this outta my system, I'm back to work on Monday from my medical leave and I'M GOING RATHER NUTS!!! - Now, I'll never tell you who Mom2Belle&PeterPan is on the Ship of Fools. Later. ;)

Hopefully I'll beat all of you there and make sure I get my much needed mini-van.

Gemini side my foot!! This thread is either corrupting some or bringing out their "other" side. Either way, lets keep it going !!

Bus to MCO after our cruise.

I've contacted about 7 companys about a bus from the Port to MCO. Most asked for a head count, which I don't have, some gave me a quote based on their occupancy.

The average rate seems to be:

Bus seating 47 passengers is 375.00 (7.97 per person if we fill bus)

Bus seating 58 passengers is 425.00 (7.45 per person if we fill bus)

Any thoughts??

Mark

I'm doing the happy dance today. My DH got a call from DCL; we are in connecting cabins 2622 and 2624.
Maryisme, I owe you a drink (and you know why!) I'm going to PM you.:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Mark - Yes, you are the president of the culprits for corruption of the "well-behaved cruisers" on this thread - along with the other members who will remain nameless...better be careful of my dh because he prefers the "Perfect Desperate Wife" and does not want me to cross the line of what is right and proper ....NOT! - he particularly likes my other Gemini side. ;)
