To show you how good I really am, I will heed your request in spite of your earlier actions! (Besides, Grumbo and Mark already took care of blasting you!!!)

Regarding dismeets..I'll tell you one to avoid. Trying to get together on deck 9 or 10 during Sailaway just doesn't work...too many people, too much happening!! We tried that last time and it was a flop. Our other cruise plans this time to meet at Outlook Bar area on deck 10 at 3pm on boarding day. I think that will work - after ressie rush before safety drill in a fairly quiet location. Will have to have a weather back up location.

A thought for our 14 day cruise. I know we will plan some sort of on board meet eventually. But in addition, I thought it would be fun to have a set time and place each day to get together. Obviuosly, not everyone everyday, but something like a time each night where if anyone was interested we could join up and just shoot the breeze. Something like the secret deck on deck seven each night at 9pm.. Just a thought!

Well , as you can see i just got back and i hafta share this with you....When i left here, I was so preocupied with this boards as i was driving, i ended up to the wrong Dr. office. I ended up went to my regular one instead of my specialist!! Fortuntely they are just down the street from one another...but that isn't the worst part...I called my DH afterwards on my cellphone and shared with him what happened and I was trying to laugh about it and you know what my DH of 14 years said to me?????

"You need to get a JOB!!!! All the hours that you spent on that computer chatting with those fools, if you were getting paid, we would have been rich by now!!"

As if being a fulltime mom and a housewife who is constantly cleaning, (since me and Dh are neat and clean freaks), is not a JOB!!!!
I told him he is sleeping on the couch tonight!!!

Guess this is everyone dump on Melinda week. Let's see...hmmmm Hey Melinda the Delaware is rising. Nah that's been done. Have to think for a while.

Dh and a couple we have been friends with for years had a nice dinner out last night and then worked on the inner child. We went to the Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Circus. We had a lot of fun. But the neatest thing was the little girl who was sitting with parental units behind us. She was about 2 years old and clapped and giggled thru the whole performance. It was nice to see and hear someone having such a nice inocent time.

We have the Halloween parade at the day care that I work in this afternoon. I have my official Disney costume ready to go. Maleficent... great costume but one of the hottest on record. Luckily the parade is out side. I will be one witch

Really thanks everyone for the tips....i haven't gotten any response now from the other thread...I certainly hope you didn't ruin me...The all are probably calling DCL now to cancel the ressies and request for another cruise!!

I have to somewhat disagree with Bob. I don't think you should avoid a meet on the first day, especially on a 4 day. I think you should try to set up 2 meets. Shirts that are alike are great. I met so many people on the Cruisetoberfest III cruise before we even got on the ship. All because of the shirts. The Cruisetoberfest group is one well oiled machine!

Our first (7 day) cruise we set up lunch for Sunday. Most people didn't show. We didn't meet some from our group until Wednesday at the next planned event. On our second 7 day, we planned a meet at 5:00 on Saturday on secret deck. This worked, but we missed about half of the people. This time, we met informally in the terminal and had our first meet on Deck 10 during sailaway. Yes there was a lot of people, but it was great. We all had matching lanyards so we could tell who was part of the group. We continually met new people all week.

Now get this....Speaking of JOBS!! This is sooooo weird!! i feel like i am in Twilight Zone!! After my DH blasted me...

I just got a phone call from one of the schools located 10 mins from my house just now who is looking for an RN to cover 1 1/2 hr per day during school hours in the school nurses office!!! I am going for an interview next week!! I tried to call my DH and tell him about it but he is in a meeting now...Boy i am get him now, he is in trouble!!!!
The hours are perfect and won't effect me not be home for my kids!! YEAH!!!

and it will be MY MONEY to pay for my excursions!! and I will remind BOB (my DH) that!!!!

After reading what was posted on ours, and what was posted here, I am just really concerned about the ability of the Panama Canal to survive this cruise!

I am so excited!!!! I just went to the mailbox and found an envelope from our mortgage company. I thought, oh no, this can't be good. Well, it was a check for $1350.71 for Escrow Overage!!!! I can't believe it. Last week, we got a check from NJ state for $600 for that property tax refund thingy. I'm thinking this is going to pay for quite a few drinks on the ship for this cruise.

Yes, it was the Magic Kingdom Barber Shop. The man who cut her hair was wonderful with her, and she was a perfect angel through the whole thing. I took lots of pics the whole time. She those ears from them too. They say "First Haircut" on the back. They are too cute.

Don't you love that NJ Saver Rebate. Plus, we got rebates from Sears, Dell and an overpayment from paying off our car. With the $600 from NJ and the rebates, we were able to make a $1,000 payment on our cruise! Every little bit helps.
