If you are doing the HI package through the TA, your transport is included in the rate for Friday night.

When I get back from WDW, and then the Philly Dis meet, I guess I need to find some of those 1950 Dance instuction records/books. If you are as old as me, you will know about which ones I am speaking. I will have a long time to practice.

Marsha- I did book thru the TA Susan used. Last I heard she was unsure of transportation to the pier. Are you booked with Janice too?...Mark

Yes we are still interested in the transport from HoJo to the port. Just us two as you have on the list. My personal advice from years of having to figure out checks at restaurants is to give a total including tax and tip before the morning of the 20th. That way everyone knows what they owe. And you aren't left holding the bag...so to speak.

Seem to have picked up some strange bug. My voice is changing...no I'm long past puberty. Have a cold in my throat I think. Feel fine just sound like what my Mom would have called a Whiskey Tenor. And no I don't like whiskey. Alcohol is best if it doesn't taste like alcohol.

Well Bmwdsny I booked a 12 seater van for our group from the Port in Florida this week. There are only 7 of us, but I figure with the amount of luggage we'll have it will still be a tight squeeze
I booked it with Budget. It is $89.00 with all taxes included. Figure its a whole heckuvalot cheaper than any limousine for 7 people plus I know the driver will be sober and if he is ignorant, it won't be to me
I figure with this crew getting off the ship I had better reserve early as I'm sure they'll only have a limited number of these larger vans.

btw J.G.E.'s vans are all taken up for this end of the cruise already.

Denise - I got the best accomodations I could find for your beloved. If he is coming onto the Dis and posting here before calling you and the kids what can I say? Hey I'm not a marriage counsellor!!! Actually he wanted to call you guys first but I cancelled his calling card and as for him having no net access. Yeah right. How do you think he is posting on here?!?!?!?
Probably using some substandard T.I. equipment or routers.

Grumbo, I reserved thru Avis for a minivan @ 86.58 for the trip from the port to MCO. The only price I saw from Budget was well over 100.00 dollars. Care to share your contacts??

bmwdsny- I'm still looking for deals for a bus or charter. I booked the minivan as "plan B".

Hmm no contacts.

I just looked at my confirmation. It is $89.00 PLUS tax which equals $96.98.
I DO know that Budget's site is VERY fickle. I have booked a week at LAX for a mini van as there will only be 5 of us at that end and it is $312 for the week and dropping off at Long Beach. I can check the price 4 times in a day and get different prices that are up to $450.
I have Budget Fastbreak membership but that doesn't "appear" to give me any price break but when you arrive you just show the card and don't have to fill anything out just get in the car and drive away signing a paper as you leave the lot. Used it while in Vegas/California this year and what a great way of avoiding the lineups.

Never mind, we will not be taking the bus after all..Spoke to my Dh tonight......I forgot that our flight that day isn't until 6 PM and my DH wants to rent a car for the day and stop over at Downtown Disney before heading to the airport...(as if we don't get enough Disney!! )

I did look into Budget tonight for a minivan and it was over $100!! But i got Avis and got it for $79 plus tax/fee which will be $86...not bad!!Look like we got the same price, Mark.. Now is the Avis located at the Radission Inn Hotel?? I never rented Avis from Cape, only Budget.... I assume that Avis has a shuttle????

Melinda, Avis is no longer at the Radisson. They moved down the block into the shopping center that also has Shirleys, The Perfect Gift. I do believe they have a free shuttle too. I can't believe they'll have too many minivans at this location though, I'll race you there on Sat. morning ...Mark

Now, now Melinda, that wouldn't be very nice. As a future business partner in JGE, after we kick out the weasels, I feel this affront on Bob (izzinmac) cannot continue. Bob, please send me your address so I can make sure Melinda isn't giving out to anyone for your "welcome back from California surprise party" I promise not to post it on the board or to give it to all the CM's on- board who need a place to crash on Friday nights before the ship arrives on Saturday. JGE is hosting a post cruise party at Bob and Mary's house after we return. Those that have late flights should feel free to ask Bob to drive them to MCO himself. I think Bob's neighbors would love to meet 100 or so of Bob's newest friends!! I just checked out Frontier Airlines' website to see if the airfares have changed any since I booked, and lo and behold, the flight I booked is not listed any more! I called them up and they said that yes, the schedule has changed, and since August is so far out, they may change again before it rolls around, and they often change the schedule quarterly! I complained that arriving an hour and a half later was cutting things close for me, and she said that they would do everything they could to accommodate me with no charge to me, and if nothing works, they would refund my money. I hope that means that they will reschedule my flight for the day before if necessary. The new schedule has us arriving at LAX at 9:55am on the 20th, and we would still have to retrieve our luggage prior to finding the Disney transport. (deep breath)

Going back to my original intention, ticket prices for the flight I'm now scheduled on are $60 higher than what I paid......each!

Yes. I think she was unsure because it's part of the hotel deal. At least it is my understanding that the hotel is giving us a discounted rate on their cruise package which inclused transport to the pier. I have every faith that Janice will get all the details once she is able to book our rooms.

OK, I will step out on a limb here about port to MCO. I plan on spending a few days in the world after, so I will be getting a car at the port. Part of my after plan is to go to MCO and pick up my sister who will be fling in to meet up with me. I should have room for a couple of people that might need a ride. HOWEVER, I won't be making a firm plan untill June of next year at the earliest. Denverval has just shown why I won't make my flight arrangements this far out, there are always schedule changes. I don't want to play that game if I can help it.
