Not to go off topic (as if) but if you look at the Panama Canal Camera right now http://www.pancanal.com/eng/photo/camera-java.html there is a huge cruise ship in the locks. I think it is a Princess ship, but I am not for sure.

Wow, a real tight squeeze!!! Very neat to watch. I am going to try to tune in on another cruise and see her enter the locks. This is her normal route for a while.

Today was the first time I have seen a cruise liner in any of the locks. I hope the ships have more clearance than the picture showed. One thing for certain, we will be watching when the Magic enters and exits, and hopefully gets screen shots for them, and then SOMEONE (who shall remain nameless although did get a great t shirt designed and door magnets) will hopefully do the same for us. No matter if it will be hot, humid, or hurricanes, this will be an historic event for me.

Too bad Disney doesn't have bridge cams.

OK, my husband goes off to China and Korea supposedly for work, and I think I will have a couple weeks of peace. Now I am getting phone calls and e-mails asking about the D & D Children's Fund and I am busier than I was before he left!!! I must say, though, that the donations are rolling in, so we may be able to afford to get both kids through college! I guess if enough donations don't come in, the tips from the Rainforest room "dance" should make up for it. I'll have you know, guys, that I saw the pictures Jazzman posted on here before I even heard from him directly! I guess that shows where his loyalty is. Grumbo, can you do something about the hotel where he is staying now? He barely has electricity, not to mention no internet connection. It is tough to get in touch with him, especially since the time difference is 12 hours!

OK, its official. I have made the reservations for the shuttle from HoJos to the Port. Here are the details:

58 Pax Bus (similar to DCL buses)

Total cost for the bus (without tip for driver, or any taxes that Arnold may charge. Hey - I'm originally from California- they tax everything!!!) $376

With the 38 signed up so far thats a little less than $10 per person

Bus will leave HoJo's at 9:30 am on August 20. About 1 hour to the port.

Plenty of underdeck storage for luggage.

Financial arrangements - TBD. If JGE won't pick up the cost of this excursion, I will have to pay in full 10 days prior to the 20th. I don't have a problem with that as long as I'm not left alone with the roomiest, costliest ride to the port! I'm looking for some way to get firm commitments and then i can collect at boarding. I really don't want advanced payments. Any ideas? Your word will be good enough for me.

The per person price is dependent on the # of travelers we get. If more want to join (we have room) the per capita price goes down - no shows/cancellations drive the price up.

I think it will be lots of fun! Here are the names I have right now. Reconfirm one more time, and if you have to change plans let me know. Post here or PM or Email. Even though you have already let me know you are interested, I would like one more confirmation in case someone on the list has quietly disappeared and not planning on going. I'll probably bug you again as we get close to sailing.

I coud check on an additional pick up - right now there is room for 20 more on the bus. An alternative if the group is larger would be for this bus to drop us off at the port and come back to H.I. to pick up your group. Let me know your druthers!

Not sure the H.I group will have sobered, err-wakened up bt 10:30 anyway!
