I think this dining idea hookup is a great idea. What fun that would be every night. I'm in if it can be pulled off.

Can you just picture the fun we'd have table swapping. I bet the CM's will be talking about our cruise long after we're gone.

I'm going on the Magic this coming Jan 15th. I will definately find some CM's onboard who know how to get things done and pass the info on. I'll try to let the entertainment dept. as well as the cruise director know about our group and even encourage them to lurk and/or post here, so they can better prepare for us. Imagine if they start asking if Grumbo or Jazzman are in the audience during their shows or ask for members of the Ship of Fools to join them on stage for the sailaway party. I like to here references for D&N partys from the cruise director, and watch as the other cruisers wonder what in the world they're talking about!

Yeah, anyone?? Grumbo?? Jazzman??

Are you guys NUTS?!?!?!
OK I'll fess up here.
I'm not even going to admit to knowing any of you guys. The photo I posted on Jason's site is some people I found on the internet. I have never been to Canada, and live in a suburb of Sydney Australia and am half aborigine. My husband Jim has been begging me to tell you guys the truth but I figure its time.
So to be succinct my husband and I will be watching you guys but you won't know who we are....

(You think they bought that Jazz? ;) )

Cheers,
Janice, uh I mean Grumbo

Hey, Melinda! What a great idea about linking ressies for evening dining! I'm on early dinner with you - We'd love to be included.

Oh I'm pretty sure that they "KNOW ABOUT THE SHIP OF FOOLS"!

I'm game for hooking up at Dinner Time! I doubt DD will show up so I don't want to be left alone! It's no fun drooling by oneself!

BTW, Melinda, guess what I found tonight?

"My First Book of Sign Language"

I am gonna use it as my reference! On the back cover it claims.....
"Learning to fingerspell and sign is fun and easy with this beginner's guide. In My First Book of Sign Language , you'll learn the entire alphabet as well as signs for common words. With a little practice, you'll be communicating in sign in no time at all!"

So far I have not found........

"Ship Happens" or "Drunk & Naked"

Dang Kids Book!

The extent of my "sign language" is M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E! Lara learned it for the "Discover the Magic" farewell kids' show and showed me!:jester: Well, we have 300 days to figure out the "crucial" phrases!

We went out to dinner with my parents tonite who are NOT going on the cruise. And I was explaining to them about the FOTL for Sr. Citizens, and about Ship Happens....then we got into the D&N....my mom then went off on a tangent about how their friends told them not to go on those type of cruises because they are nothing but drunken orgies.....I haven't mentioned the cliff diving for pearls in Acapulco to her yet....

Parents...ya gotta love em....

You did mention that it is a DISNEY CRUISE so that makes it alright! It's Family Oriented!

Auntybrat,

I'm going through the same thing with DH! Everytime I tell him about something we are talking about on here, he just looks at me blankly, then rolls his eyes and says, "Yes, dear."

I think the dinner idea is great! Of course, we may have to chip in and get money to send all of the CMs to therapy afterwards! LOL

I'm on late dining, I chew with my mouth closed, and I very rarely slurp my soup (DH is another matter!). Who wants to join us?

Good morning everyone!!

AuntyBrat,
The difference between you and i is, that my parents ARE GOING!!!! I think they roll their eyes every day wondering if they are going to regret going with the FOOLS!!!
Is there a couple of older generation,(60's) very conservative, "we don't talk about those things" that my parents can hang out with???? (my parents DOES NOT, repeat, Does not, wear DEPENDS) They are fine in that deptarment!! LOL!!

Scratch,
you got a very lame SL book!! Just kidding...

Gotta admit, that i forgot lot of SL myself since i do not depend on it....I can be a mouthful instead!!!(after 13 years of speech therapy, i should!!) anyway, i take a look at my SL book later which is much more advance that yours and also, another mother from my kids school is deaf, very deaf, (does not speak at all!!) and i do see her once a week and converse with her (SL of course)soooo i will ask her what the SL for Ship, Drunk and Naked is!!!!!

Hi Melinda

I've got Auntie and Uncle to hook up with your parents. Lovely people, also very conservative, who enjoy Bingo! Little older though (both 82 but Auntie especially seems much younger). We took them on our last cruise - they enjoyed all the meals, the shows, and relaxing on deck. Not too big on excursions, but looking forward to all the sea days. (Well, Auntie's looking forward to the trip - Uncle doesn't even know about it yet:hyper: )

Bmwdsny my parents are coming with us and they are in their low 70's early 80's and very spry. I don't check them for Depends and don't think I will either :)
I haven't told them a THING about this group. They are "somewhat" conservative but they are really looking forward to the cruise.
I know my dad is looking forward to walking the decks, having his rum and coke on a deck chair and relaxing. I'm actually looking forward to being able to share this holiday with them. Who knows if we'll be able to go away again like this and its a great chance for them to see their granddaughter a lot more which is difficult now as we are over 200km apart.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Laura,
aren't you soooo glad your dad put his foot down and said they weren't going on the cruise back when we booked in May? Yeesh, you'd think your mom would have a sense of humor.

Hi Everyone,

We got back from our Oct. 2 cruise and extended stay in DW last night. We had great weather and a great time.

Reneé

Hey, our parents can hook up! My parents are both early 60's. I would say semi-conservative!

I don't think they would be into the D&N thing, but love to dance and kareoke. Yes, that's right kareoke is still alive and well right inside my parents home. Friday night fun! Scary isn't it!:earseek:

Roxann

Beautiful Fall weather in the Pacific Northwest!:sunny: Yesterday it was 80 with flowing lava and steam from the volcano!

Just got back last night, to cold and rain. IWWW. Cruisetoberfest was great and time at the parks was great. Saratoga Springs is beautiful! Can't wait until next year. The countdown begins again.
Bernadette

Welcome back Renee!! Love to hear about your trip!!

tigger24, glad to hear you like SSR!! Will be staying there after the cruise next month!!

Ok thanks, i am glad to see that some of you have parents like mine!! Great!!I am happy now and can relax!! My parents like to dance, never tried karoke but i can see them do it, and believe me , they are a fun couple, my father likes to make people laugh and do corny jokes....My mother loves to be with my children 24 hours but i know my kids will be with their age group friends so i just wantd to make sure she will have someone to talk to other than me...

Since Eileen is offering her cat 11 room for the D&N; maybe my parents can offer their cat 11, on deck 5 room for the old farts party and see how many can squeeze in there!! LOL!!!
(yeah right!!:p ) I wouldn't dare tell them i offer their room!! LOL!!
