I sugest that those of you who are not hearing impaired bruch up on some signs so when the naughty ones are signing about you, you will be able to sign back. And BTW, the "finger" is not an ASL sign!

I think I need to practice. My best sign for a cruise is waving my empty glass at the watier for a refill!

My DD and I took two semesters of sign language. We had a fabulous teacher. I was amazed at all the symbols and variations there are.

UH OH!!!! Let's hope we don't have the same dining arrangements!!!! LOL!!!!

OR

Perhaps you can join my DH and I and we all can SL about the FOOLS!!!! LOL!!!!

I think Grumbo will be signing me that I'm number 1 whenever he sees me. Funny I always use the pointer finger.

HELLO MARK!!!:wave2: That is sooooo cool!!!!

For all others who is curious what was signed...
the answer: HELLO MELINDA

I know the alphabet, and "thank you" but that's about it! nd of course, Sesame Street teaches "I love you," but no offense, unless you get me deep into my cups (or martini glass) you won't see me signing that to any of you nutso people!

For those of you who are not aware, there is a Disneyland Board on the Dis. It is accessible from the main page. Mary Jo (techarita) is one of the mods there and she has posted many reviews of the area hotels. The people that mod that board as well as many who frequent it are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the 2 parks, the hotels, the airports, etc. I met Mary Jo at DL, she is just one of the nicest people going. She would be a real Fool if she could, but it wasn't in the cards. So all of y'all wanting more info on the left coast, try the DL board.

Amazing, there are actually boards other than DCL??????????

:cat:

I can't sign and I can't read lips. I have however figured out that this is the strangest bunch of people I have never met. I am truly looking forward to the Dis Meet in Allentown (Pa) next July and then the ship of :crazy: in August.

Denine sorry about the cold. Once you are on the boat and sailing along in the nice warm sunny air. Go up to deck 10, find a chair in a sunny but not windy place. Put on sunscreen and bake to cold.

We are trading colds and the flu around here. DH has a cold and youngest DD has a nice case of the flu. I think this is what working in a day care does for you. The kids are all sniffling. Fall is here and that means colds. Yuck.

By the way I like Andrews' sense of humor. I have been practicing mumbling and drooling too.

I have Main and would love to see some of you during dinner...(yeah, so me and DH can sign about you or watch you drool!!) LOL!!

Now there's a thought! Lets tell DCL we want to link about 100 reservations and all have the same rotation! All earlies with earlies and lates with lates! I'm for it!

Hey Melinda it's a great idea. I've said this before much earlier in the thread, we have over 400 people on the boat affiliated with this thread alone. That's about 1/7th of the ship! If we work together we can probably get some of our pet issued considered if not solved. I don't think they'd care about assigning many of us to a certain area in the dining room if we ask the right people. Does anyone know some people we can e-mail request of this nature to??...Mark

Oh Bob, by the way, yes, i do vote for the BUSHES!!! George W and i understands each other!!!! LOL!!

Also, who is Bethany?? is she your grandchild?? My sister is name Bethany!!! A name not heard much!! Love the name!! Wish my mother name me that instead!!

Yeah, anyone?? Grumbo?? Jazzman??
When i go on the next cruise in November, i will ask the dining host and inquire about it...

Melinda

Yes, Bethany is a grandaughter. Actually, the oldest at 7 years old.. BTW, I need to add another one to the list. My daughter Sarah had a boy a week ago, Elijah Luke, to join Sam and Abbie.

7 kids-7 grandkids. Hence the mumbling and drooling!!! (you ought to see my wife!!!)

Not to hijack this thread.........well I doubt that could happen anyway, BUT........................ There is a meet being planned for Philly on November 13th if any of y'all PAers will be around. There is a Diser in the UK who is coming over to the world and is stopping in PHL for the weekend before. I will be there, but we have NO idea what to do or where to go. (Don't get any smartass ideas as to where I can go, either). Check out the thread on the Meets board.

As far as dining, with as many as of as there are, what fun it would be if we were yelling across the dining rooms at each other every meal? Melinda, they need to be warned about us, for sure. If they put us all on the same rotation, it would keep 2/3s of the ship from some annoyances. I doubt they will do it, there are usually rotations for parentsa with kids, couples, and singles. But it can't hurt to ask.

Congratulations, Bob, on your new grandson!!!!!

Marsha,
i think it would be real fun!!! But you are right, the # of people and tables would be a factor...but we really should check it out!!!

A bunch of us have linked up on the Christmas Cruise. I'll report on how it worked out when I get back.

Denine - Have a great time!

Paul

It may be a pain for Disney to pull off, but we had a group of 22 on our last cruise, and they just set us up to be at adjacent tables. We even ended up with two groups of servers (18 for one group and 4 for another) We swithced tables from meal to meal and had no problem. Could do the same with our group, but instead of four tables, we would have about 1/2 the dining room.
