BMW, you won't find out your stateroom for a LONG time. A GTY room for most cruise lines will cost slightly less than a guarantee room because you are given whatever is left. That means they will sell whatever they can and give you what remains.

oh goody!!!!

I booked my cabins the first week they took ressies, and I was given a guaranteed Cat. 9 but no stateroom number. When I read above that Mary had been assigned a cabin number, I called Costco and was initially told that I had only guaranteed listed but no numbers. He then checked a different computer and told me my numbers - 2576 and 2574.

Is your $89 price before taxes and surcharges? Just curious. We are flying to Las Vegas and the cheapest I can find is $109 inclusive per person on U.S. Air. I think I'm going to go ahead and book them this weekend. I don't think the prices are going to drop that much. And you're right -- U.S. Air is a major carrier and they have been through this before. And since Philadelphia is their hub, I have a good feeling about them still being around in a year! ::yes::

Denine,

Admission will be any type of alcohol. Feel free to bring more than one type! A compliment to me will also be necessary (eg: "Eileen, you are the most wonderful, beautiful, kind, considerate, intelligent, and did I mention beautiful, person in the entire universe! I wish I could be you, but I will settle for sitting at your feet and gazing worshipfully at you, obeying your every command!") [/B][/QUOTE]

That's pretty steep, don't you think?

I am not ready to take a chance on USAir right now. Too many things can happen between now and then.

Welcome Aboard the Ship of Fools!

invaderzim,

I booked them over the phone and the total was $94.?? per ticket, total ($89 plus a $5 fee). Right now US Air's website seems to be having a problem trying to pull up the info for this 1 way flight. But, you can pull it up on Orbitz for $95.00 (I don't know if they have any hidden fees). It is a 7:45 am flight arriving in Lax at 10:42 am non-stop on august 17th. We'll be spending a couple days at the park before the cruise.

Thanks, Tinkerbel -- but we are flying to Las Vegas first. We decided to do that since we'll be out that way anyway (LOL). Then we're renting a car and driving to L.A. and spending the rest of the time near DL. So I guess the fares are a little higher to go to Las Vegas, but I'll give them a call and see if the price is better directly.

There has been some movement in rooms and possible knock ons,

I have moved from a named Cat room to a CAT 4, but now I am on a guarantee, possible DCL saw the opportunity for a Chain as all of this movement has happened at the same time.

Ie someone wants a CAT 5, another a CAT 6, etc etc and they helped a number of cruisers at the same time!

Andrew - did you request the upgrde to a cat 4 or did DCL just move you. If you requested... was the price increase at the same tier you originally booked.

Reason I ask is -I have a cat 9 assigned room and I got in within first 15 minutes of booking so I know I got an awesome price... thinking about reuqesting an upgrade & getting a verandah but not if its at todays prices.

I booked with Dreams instructing them before May 5th and I obtained a very good price. If you remember the DCL website crashed, as soon as it was up, for reference I obtained a quote, but decided to rely on DU. Their price was the same as this quote, less a $200 rebate. I noticed like others the price shot up by the hour.

Last time I cruised I had a CAT 4 room, but we didn't use it to much, there was so much else to do on ship, I think the only memory is of the sunset at Key west, we faced the right way.

Now I was concerned about the price so instructed DU on a CAT 8 this time, the price however was good, and I have paid a lot as the £/$ rate has been very good.

I began to think back to my last Panama canal trip, it was a hot sunny day, and the trip took all day, it is hot on deck, and can be crowded.

If you have a veranda, it should be better on this particular bit.
Air con in the room, some protection from the sun, So I asked Dreams to put me on the waitlist for anything CAT 4,5.6 But a preference for CAT 4.

Can I say, Dreams came true, this week and upgraded me, I think there was a chain my move helped others and in turn opened up more space.

The price was at the same tier, i.e. gap as at the time I booked, going up four CAT's has cost about $2k. (UK £1.2K)

I hope everyone else on waitlists obtains the rooms they would like!

Jeopardy.

Answer: $18,600

The question-- How much is our cruise worth on Disney Dream auctions for a Category 9 stateroom for 4.

My SIL better watch out, I think I'm gonna contact the losing bidders and offer my 2nd room to them for a thousand or so less...Mark

I e-mailed DCL a while back in regards to our losing a port of call with no replacement offered. Here's my reply:

10/8/04

Thank you for your e-mail and suggestion.

At this point, we do not plan to add any additional ports-of call to our 14-night California to
Florida sailing due to timing constraints.

We look forward to sailing with you next year.

Sincerely,

George Parker
Manager, Guest Communications
Disney Cruise Line

Mark

So Mark, Since George says we are looking forward to sailing with you does that mean the entire Guest Communications Department will be sailing with us. Just a thought.
Suddenly the D&N party for this thread took on a whole different look. Maybe we had better have it on the hidden verandah on deck 7. More room. Then again they aren't on this thread so they'll just have to wish they were invited.
We have our tickets (they're electronic) for both flights next year. We did Delta since DH has flyer miles. But at least they are here and hopefully Delta will still be flying.
Getting more excited about being at WDW in a month and a half or so. :pinkbounce:
Am dog sitting tonight so I'm off to make her happy.

Estelle :flower1:

:earsgirl::earsboy:

Are you flying on Delta from LVIA???? to LAX???

Also, take a look at this Sunday edition Morning Call Newpaper.
In the section "Adventures" there is a big article "The BIG 5-0" regarding Disneyland birthday....

Well we were thinking about going on the member cruise after our 14 day repo cruise. We have decided against the member cruise!:(

You crazy folks and the Panama Canal won out!:cheer2:

We keep paying off the cruise little by little. After I get paid this week we will be putting more money down on the repo cruise. DH says we ARE DEFINATLEY going on the repo cruise (hurricanes or not).

We will see you on board!!!!!:teeth:

Just got back and caught up on the 10+ pages you guys wrote for the last week. Magic was as wonderful as ever. If you didn't hear, we did make it to Castaway Cay. First cruisers in weeks to make it there. We rebooked onboard for the next Cruisetoberfest group in 2006. Great people!

We did talk to many CMs about the repo cruises. We also talked about the DIS boards. They all were well aware of the DIS boards and monitor them frequently. We tried to get info on the captain for the repos, etc. to no avail. The only info we found out is that Don "Ducky" Williams will be on both cruises.

More later.

Tracy

I was trying to decide which hotel to stay at a few years ago, and I was very surprised to have someone from the management at the Swan/Dolphin e-mail me! They definitely do monitor these boards.:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Not much at all, just that we were going through the canal :teeth:

They just said plans are underway, and that's it. Don't know if anyone heard anything else, but I got nothing. The info about Ducky came from him directly (he dined at the table next to ours).

Tomorrow when I'm more awake, I'll see if there was anything else.

I'm toying with changing my user name. Once I figure out how I'll handle the index, I'll let you know who I am LOL.

Tracy

rsschneck,

I also wanted to go on the member cruise after the repo cruise. When I tried to feel my hubbie out about it he looked at me like I was crazy..lol

I'm so sorry I'm gonna miss it. I was on the first one and it was great. I loved getting the different gifts in the stateroom every night.

Oh well, maybe I'll make the next one.

Mary
