Well it looks like we are "grandfathered" that we don't have to pay the final balance until the 60 days before...BUT here is the zapper....Those new ressies who has 90 day final balance will be able to book excursion 90 days before, 60 days will still be for us... Well, i guess we can't have our cake and eat it too!!!

Just some info for your trip planning.....

We put a deposit down on our hotel package for next year through AAA. They work directly with the Walt Disney Vacations office. Here is what we are getting:

- Two sets of pins and lanyards
- Free parking voucher for Disneyland parks
- 4-day park hopper pass
- AAA Diamond Fun Book (discount coupons)
- Preferred Seating for all restaurants and shows
- One morning's entry into Mickey's Toon Town Morning Madness
- One morning's early entry into Fantasyland
- ESPN game card
- Four-day passes for each of us on ART (Anaheim's shuttle service which services all of the attractions and restaurants in Anaheim. Passes normally cost $14/pp).
- 4-night stay in a Junior Suite (queen size bed and separate bedroom with a daybed and TV) at the Anabella Inn

I know I'm leaving out something, but don't have the AAA brochure with me at work. I loved the free parking voucher since we will be renting a car in Las Vegas and driving to L.A.
Anyway, after much research and travel agent input, I'm happy with the hotel, it's location and it's reputation.

Now, just to find some decent air fare!

Sounds like you have a plan! Do you mind sharing the cost per person with us?

You must feel great having these details taken care of!

The best part of buying a DL package through AAA is unlimited fastpasses. You can get a DL package cheaper by not buying a package (usually), but at busy times, I really love the unlimited fastpasses. Fastpass is a little different at DL than at WDW - there is a poster over at Laughingplace.com that has done a thorough analysis of how to use fastpass at DL; his name is Darkbeer. And, I assume that everyone has checked out the DL link over at Mousesavers.com.

Paul, yesterday was such a lovely Fall day - what's the deal with this rainy weekend? See what you can do about it - my son is playing soccer on Saturdays through the end of Oct.

Donna

Donna- -I don't know what the deal is with the weather. The freezing level is supposed to go down to 6000 feet this weekend (at least that is what our weather guys are saying). Too bad we normally don't fly the helicopter on the weekend. Maybe we could use it to blow the clouds away!! LOL!!!!

I don't mind sharing the price at all since it is so unbelievable. Actually, we just added another night. So we're staying Monday through Friday nights (5). The whole package is costing us $1,220.00 -- TOTAL, not per person. That's tickets and all. A DL resort would have cost us over $2,500 for the three of us for five night, and they only allow you a three-night stay through any of the special package deals on the web.

Hey folks....

We'll be bowing out of this cruise.....another cat 6 is up for grabs now!!!!

Everyone have fun! We'll catch the one in 2006 (hopefully!)

JEAHaving a hard time getting excited for this cruise:boat: next year since the cruise:boat: on October 23rd is approaching fast......
I am really excited now. Since we are staying at All Star Movies Thursday & Friday instead of Ron Jon Resort (they were hit by the hurricane). We are going to MNSSHP on Friday. I have never been to that party & I am SOOOOOO excited:jumping1:. Have to get over these bills before I can worry about the payments for next year's cruise:boat: .

Disney Dudette 3's daughter gets married tomorrow:bride: :groom:. Pray for sun:sunny:. Have a great day & weekend. Toodles:wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE

Wow, Jeanne - I didn't realize you had another cruise to look forward to so soon!:sunny:

I hope you'll have an amazing time and come back even more phyched for two weeks on board with all of us!:jester:

Two-foxes, I sent you a PM because I might be interested in your cabin.

Jill,

Sorry to hear you won't be cruising with us next year. See you in two weeks. Hopefully the hurricanes are done or I don't know where we'll be cruising to, lol.

Excellent price, great job! Thank you for responding!

Nothing much to say, just checking in.

Looking forward to our cruise next month. After moving, we really need that vacation!

Two-foxes: Sorry you won't be traveling with this crazy bunch.

invaderzim: That is a great price. Too bad we can't take advantage. We can only come out 2 days early.

I agree that is a great price and nice perks to go with it. But we're only coming out on Thursday. We have a day to do DL and then get on the "Magical" :wizard: boat the next morning. That's why the HOJO is looking so good.
I don't know what happened to the nice Fall weather. We have gray cloudy skies that look like rain any minute now.
Lots of prayers for all the Gulf Coast folks who have been socked by Ivan "the terrible." And we still have Emma, Sophie and their family in our prayers.

Just checking in. Don't want to be forgotten!

Not much new Counting down the days until our Oct cruise.

Sorry Two-Foxes you won't be joining us. Sad to see some not able to go.

Got a new Dell computer. I am so excited. I also added DSL. I can look up Disney stuff even faster now!!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Hi all. Just wanted to offer a heads up for any DVC members wanting to use points to stay at one of the three Disneyland hotels pre-cruise. I thought that we would have to call for ressies 11 months from our check-out date, as we do with DVC resorts. However, the policy allows you to book at 11 months out from the check-in date instead. I'm happy to say that we just booked the Disneyland Hotel today for our three-night pre-cruise stay Aug. 17-20, 2005. So go ahead and call for those pre-cruise ressies!

Thanks Underdesea!!
We are also DVC members. I had booked Disneyland hotel along with our reservation. I think I will give them a call to see if I can use points instead!

getawaytoday.org usually has great packages at reasonable prices for Disneyland. You can customize your package for any price range. I used them the very first time I went to Disneyland and they took care of everything. My co-workers use them all the time.

If you choose to stay more than a few blocks off property, ART (Anaheim Resort Transit) is a bus system that runs all over the Anaheim area and it's pretty cheap. I think a day pass for adults is $3 bucks a day, a day pass for 5 days is a better deal at $12. I think kids 9 and under were free. But I remember the guy at the front desk of my hotel just threw in the passes for free when I mentioned I didn't feel like walking. I'd check with the hotel's front desk to see if they offer them for free or at a discount (if they don't already come in your package). The ART website is: rideart.org

Good morning everyone!:wave2:

It early Sat morning and i am up already for 2 hours! (i ususally sleep in sat!) but the leftover from IVAN cause such a ruckas outside(heavy rain, thunder, lightening, heavy winds) that i have a river now flowing down my backyard, had to go outside quickly and take my flag down and my 4 hanging plants which was swinging crazily. Kinda reminds me of Hurricane Floyd 5 years ago...Things are getting calmer now outside, but still raining....Whew!! I take it that my son's soccer game will be canceled, i am sure!

Anyway, I am a DVC member and i was going to stay at the DL hotels but decieded against it..It is a lots of points (much more than a typical night at the WDW DVC resorts) AND my parents are going too and i would have to get 2 rooms. I rather saved those points for WDW since we go much more frequently. PLUS, if for some reason, we cancel the trip, those points CANNOT be used for any of the DVC resorts, but only the outside of the DVC, by a certain time frame, I didn't like that too much...Too Risky... Instead i will be staying at the Residence Inn, 2 BR suite, using my marriott rewards points, only a mile from DL...I can see that there are lot more outside hotels surrounded DL, much different than WDW. Now, i am just awaiting for those DL tickets to go on sale for next year!! Any one know anything about the cost of those tickets??
