Grumbo, I think cabing originated in NYC. We usually just call it sharing a cab. I think Sue is confused about it meaning jumping from cabin to cabin. Jazzman tried that on his last cruise but Denice but an end to that rather quickly!! The crabing he caught from his cabing has finally gone away, thanks to that ointment.

How and Why is it on his arms???

Because he was wearing his short sleeved jumpsuit. LOL

Boy do those look painful.

It appears the tag fairy may hide out here. After all this time on the boards I got a tag!

WOO! Thanks TF!

Don't talk to me about tea!
Friend of ours are having a bunch of ladies going to this Victorian teahouse this afternoon for her 50th birthday. I was invited along with mil, dd and dw.
Hell the Bills start their season at 1:00 pm!!!!!
I am to be the "official photographer".
Hope they have a tv somewhere there. My wife says "You'll love it".
Yeah right. And it don't rain in Indianapolis in the summer time too!!!

Not too cheery,
Grumbo

Now a Victorian Tea sounds like great fun to me, especially if everyone is dressing in long skirts and frilly blouses. My daughter, Victoria Rose, would definitely agree it sounds like fun.

What's a Bill season anyway?

I believe that it has something to do with a Pig Skin!

Are You Ready for Some Football!

Now I know Summer is Officially Over!

PS Grumbo ~ do you also get to wear a long skirt and a frilly blouse?

:duck:

Grumbo,

I am counting the hours until the Giants game against Philadelphia. I am hoping for the best, but fear it's going to be a long season. We will soon see if Manning was worth all of that money!

NYGR I think the Giants are going to be their own entertainment this year :)
Between their coach fining players for showing up EARLY for meetings and their division should be a circus in NY :)
Good luck though.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Hi Phil!

Been MIA from this thread for a while...DudetteTwo..thanks for the good wishes (I will send you an email from work on Monday--Mickey02..Marsha...still going to NH in December so we will definitely get together...right now it will be the weekend of December 18th so we will either do lunch or dinner!

Melinda...yes, we are definitely planning on going to the meet in Allentown and we can even get together some weekend and we can meet with Estelle and Phil at Lehigh Valley Mall along with you and your family. Did they pick a date for the meet in Allentown?

We are flying out of ABE for our 10/2 cruise and usually fly out of here since it is cheaper and alot nicer than our local airport. We are flying on Southeast into Sanford. Hopefully, Ivan will leave Florida alone this time and we will still be able to make this cruise.

I was really looking forward to cruising with all of you but know that at some point in the future, our paths will cross on another DCL cruise and I will be looking forward to your entertainment!!

kpgclark...thanks for the pm....I know that we will still be cruising in the future thanks to DVC points so I'm sure that our paths will cross.

Love and prayers to Sophie and her family...may God continue to keep her in the palm of his hand. Had a lovely note from Linda..in her grief, she took the time to write and God only knows how much pain she and her family must be going through. God bless them.

Has anyone heard from Bob (izzmac) or Gassmandy? Hope they stayed safe.

I picture Grumbo getting all dressed up in his best Lord Fauntleroy suit to go to the Victorian Tea.

I'm not sure his old one still fits him !

For his wifes' sake I hope it doesn't. She really doesn't want to be accused of cradle robbing. :rolleyes1:

I'll never catch up so I'm not going to try. Been busy in N.J. & went down the shore yesterday & stayed in Cape May but the "ROAR TO THE SHORE":moped: :moped: :moped: :moped: :moped: was in Wildwood & when we went into Wildwoof to go on the boardwalk it was nothing but HARLEY'S everywhere! It was really something to see!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't anybody else nervous:scared1: about bringing the Magic home during hurricane season? It could be an interesting cruise:boat:!

Poor Florida. Enough is enough!

Have a blessed Sunday. Still praying for Sophie. Toodles:wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE

Devastating news from the cruise board...Sophie has lost her battle for life and has now joined her mom and sister...what horrible news. Sophie's family must be devastated. Continued prayers for Linda, Mike, David and the rest of the family.

SOPHIE IS OUR LITTLE ANGEL:angel:. There is nothing any of us can say to make this easier for Sophie's family but please know we are all thinking & praying for all of you. JEANNE

First of all --my heart and prayers go out to Mike and Lynda and Amanda's husband (David?). How devastating for everyone who knew them. Will continue my prayers for the family now.

On a different note------Thank God Frances is over. Been through many hurricanes, tropical storms, and typhoons (while living in the Philippines for 8 years)--and let me tell you--Frances was the SLOWEST darn hurricane yet! Let's put it this way--my husband had orders to close down his 4 restaurants on the East coast of FL by Wed. night!! The eye didn't reach us till Sun. at 1 am! And then it was so slow--I could have out WALKED it! But it's over and Ivan doesn't look to be a threat to us here in Brevard county--but I pray for all in his path!! My sister, bil, and niece and nephew live in Destin, FL --panhandle--so now we are worried for them.
My parents--Bob-izzinmac, 2 sisters, and myself all have homes here--and all 4 homes escaped w/ little to no damage. My home and my sister Becky's home are the 2 newest so we stayed at ours and my parents and sister and family (whose house is on the barrier islands) all stayed at Becky's. It was wild--all the noises from the wind and rain. Plus--with all windows boarded up--you have NO idea what's going on outside. My home lost power at around 7pm on Sat night and we didn't regain it till 6pm this last Sat. So I have only been back in it for one day now. My dad's house never lost power--so it became Hotel Izzinmac for a week for us!! He hasn't been back on though due to his internet access won't be back up till the 17th.
Anyway--thanks for the prayers.

Sorry to hear of more cruise cancellations and everything else. My dad should be back soon. Hope everyone is doing well!

Again--prayers for Lynda's family.

My fullest sympathies to Mike, Lynda and David...It was meant for sophie to be a lil:angel: For some reason, God wanted her home. It was meant to be...We don't always have the answers why that is the case. My prayers with all of you!!! :grouphug:

Amanda,
that is wonderful news that you and family weren't in a worst situations. Let's hope IVAN the terrible doesn't hit you again!!!

Just wanted to add my sadness at Sophie's passing. Sleep tight, baby.
