Estelle that is why so few homicides are solved in Mark's neighbourhood.
It is true I read it in the I.A.I. Forensic Journal.

They said the DNA is all the same and there are no dental records! ;)

Cheers,
Grumbo

I have always have wondered how Elvis could hit those high notes. Now the mystery has been solved!

Ah, it's good to return and see newly posted photos. Seems like old times. Thanks for the laughs.

Well, we cancelled the WDW trip with no problems whatsoever. DVC even put our points back into our account. We took a 3 night trip to Hyannis (Cape Cod) instead. Went to a resort with an indoor wave pool. Had some nice beach weather as well. All in all, a nice time, but it was no Disney Trip!

Still praying for Sophie and Barbara.

I'm sorry that Sarah'sMom had to cancel and I hope her husband's situation works out well in the end. That is very stressful and I'll add you to the prayer list as well.

Can't believe Ivan is coming to Florida, too. This is an unbelievable year for these poor Floridians.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Well Sandy's sister aka "Genzie" finally registered here. She'll be on our cruise with her then to be 8 yr old son CJ. I'm sure she's lurking out there folks. Maybe a few welcomes will coax her out.

She's a bit unsure about her son enjoying the kid's clubs. She's looking forward to some mommy time and hopes her son will find the clubs fun. Anyone care to chime in...Mark

Welcome Genzie:
Just want you to check your receipts for your room on the ship. Mark got his the first day they went on sale and the Special that day was $995.00 per person for a verandah. I don't think he realized at that time you were going to be on the boards so he was boasting about how half of his cruise was being paid for by his rich relatives that were going to be paying the difference.
It just doesn't seem fair so I felt you should be made aware of this.
Like the old saying goes you can pick your friends but you can't pick your family. I'd have words with Sandra about having gotten you mixed up with this person.

My work here tonight is done ;)

Cheers,
Grumbo

You guys are too funny. I wish I could see the new wardrobe picture, but I only see the infamous red X.

Genzie, welcome. While I have no direct knowledge of the kids activties on the ship, I am sure that if your son is in the least bit social that he will enjoy them. Mommy time can be a good thing. As a mommy, I plan on enjoying plenty of it. My son would like nothing better than to share the entire time with me, but that aint gonna happen, unless he finds a way to get his own room and pay for it himself. there are advantages to sold out cruises!

Oh boy, really looking forward to meeting all of y'all.

Genzie, welcome here and join all the FOOLS!!! My DS is 7 and perhaps he will love to meet your DS and introduced him into the clubs.

Hi Genzie,

My dd loved the clubs on our last cruise in April. She was six then. She is really looking forward to the next cruise to reunite with some old friends and spend MORE time in the clubs. She will be 8 on the next cruise. She might be a good contact for your son if they are the same age.

Some of Victoria's favorite things at the club were: Pirate Activities, Goofy's pajama party, making slime and playing at the computer stations.

Welcome!

Hi Genzie - welcome to our "little group" and don't let all this posting scare you. We are just a nice group that like to joke
with each other.

Reneé

BTW - I also got the red "X" and couldn't see the pic, but I bet
it was a good one.;)

My DD was also 6 the last time we cruised on DCL (a month of 7) and she will be 9 when we go again next year. She has been in e.mail correspondence with a couple of other kids on the cruise.

My DS was five (just) on the last cruise and is now 6 and will be on the upcoming cruise, with his 7th birthday on the last day.

They loved the kids club and I am sure with the extra sea days they will be in it a lot.

LODGING AT DISNEYLAND....

FYI -- We got a quote from our AAA agent yesterday for some of the hotels we were looking at in Anaheim. We can't afford to stay inside DL, but she got us a GREAT deal at Annabella Inn (which has a 3 star rating). It's a mini-suite with a queen bed and a daybed, for 5 nights with a 4-day Disneyland pass for $1,165 total (not pp). Also, if we book through AAA, we get food coupons, free parking passes and a lanyard and pins.

Annabella has a free shuttle into DL - they are only one block away (behind California Adventure).

Welcome Genzie-- Pay no attention to these people. They will convince you that the only thing they are going to do on the cruise is drink. :drinking1: That is totally false...they will be drinking tea. Believe that and I know a lovely bridge in Brooklyn that I could sell you.
As far as the picture goes. I saw it. It is enough to say Elvis impersonator, tight outfit , and a large bulging belly.

Prayers are going for Sophie, Barb and all those folks in Florida, who must be considering hurricane a four letter word.
Talk to you all tomorrow. Estelle

Oh maybe you all can get my DH to stop lurking here. Every morning when I check the thread he's been here the night before. His name is Phil.

The price is for how many people??

Hello Ship of Fools:

It's been a long time since I have visted this board. I'm sailing October 2nd this year and have been preparing for that trip and doing the hurricane watch.

Since last posting, many months ago, I have managed to get a cabing mate, YEAH! I wan't opposed to sailing alone, but it will be more fun with someone to share it with.

Just wanted to poke my head in and say hello!

Sue

Uh is this some strange Easern U.S. ritual? What is involved in "cabing"? You know this IS a family board!!! ;)

Cheers,
Grumbo

It's a Chesapeake Bay tradition of crabing from your cabin.
On the West Coast I think it means jumping from cabin to cabin.
