I knew that, what was I thinking, the Wonder!!
Anyway, if Dave doesn't mind I would like to join him. I will bring my card/license and camara.
Dave
No problem![]()
Dave and I would love to join you for dinner. I'll get in touch with disney just after the 90day mark and request it. If thats ok with you. Im sure my Dave would love to talk to your Dave about Scuba diving as he dives too (mainly cold water here in North Sea, although he has been on diving holidays to the red sea, MAlta and Thailand).
Am I right in thinking you live near Washington?
Have a wonderful Valentines day
Helen x
Terrific! That would be great to join you for dinner.![]()
We live in Washington State, not Washington D.C. We're in the northwest part of the United States. We don't live too far from the largest city in the state - Seattle. In fact, we're at downtown Seattle now and will be going to "The Lion King" Broadway musical tonight for Valentine's Day.
I hope you have (had) a nice Valentine's Day. I'm assuming by the time you get this it will probably be after the fact!
By the way, my name is Kim...just so you don't have to think I don't have a name other than disneymom8589.![]()

Hooray!!!!!
I'm in for gift bags and would also be interested in fish extenders if anyone else wanted to play!
Maybe the Dis kids could do the FEs! Each of my kids would take a day.
Barbara
I wish it were 16 days, but I'll take 160ish. We are happy to do a gift bag. If kids want to do FEs, I think that's a great idea so it doesn't get too complicated.
Kim, I hope you liked Lion King. I've seen it on tour and it's pretty amazing. Helen, I don't know what you'll be up for in NY, but the stage show of Little Mermaid is Gorgeous.
How formal are many of you thinking for formal night? (Now Helen has me thinking about packing!) One our prior 4 day cruise, it didn't seem as though people got really dressed up. (I'd actually rather not pack something just for that, but if people are planning to get very formal, I'll think about it.)
Also, I know that Helen posted something about the dining rotation and changes to it. Do you still have that information? I'm trying to figure out when to go to Palo for dinner.
On a last note, I'm sorry I can't scuba (low level asthma and way too much sinus scar tissue), but my DH and I will definitely be snorkling if anyone is looking at those excursions. We're looking for a recommendation at St. Maarten - I've already booked sea lions for St. Thomas!
Thanks all! Happy Presidents' Day to all. (Helen, like a bank holiday celebrating Washington and Lincoln. No School!)

We absolutely loved "The Lion King"! It was phenomenal!![]()
As for what I'm wearing for formal night, our DD is getting married two weeks prior to the cruise and I will bring the dress I am wearing, plus my DH (Dave) is buying me an extra dress!I think I found the dresses this weekend at a bridal shop. They are both chiffon, tea-length. I'm not sure which of the two I will be wearing for the formal night. DH is wearing a suit and tie.
I am enjoying Presidents' Day off as I'm a teacher.![]()
Kim I did note realise you were a teacher too - what grade?
I teach yr1 here in the UK 5-6 yr olds
Dave tends to bring his suit and I will bring a couple of long dresses to use for formal / semi formal. My problem is my shoes my last cruise I brought 10 pairs and Dave was not very happy![]()
Actually the pic I posted was taken on formal night.
Have a good day - I'm off out with friends as we are going to see HIgh school musical at the theatre.
Take care

Hi, Kim and Helen.
Kim, I teach HS Latin - mostly 9th and 10th grade in a suburb of Philadelphia. Barbara teaches also. Theatre, I think.
Helen, I am SO excited that you are seeing Wicked. My family - including my 8 yr old, have seen it twice on tour. It is my daughter's favorite musical - and she has now seen a number of live shows - including Dis LK, LM, B+B, Annie, Dr. Doolittle, Peter Pan. One caution, it _is_ a good idea to read Wicked prior to seeing it. My mother has now seen it at least 3 times. The first time she saw it, she didn't like it, mostly because she didn't understand what was happening. I told her that she _had_ to read it. Once she did, she enjoyed her second and third shows immensely. It is a tough read. Maguire's quite wordy and political. If you like Wicked and haven't read it, Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister is great. The Snow White book was pretty dreadful. I did read it all the way through, and kinda wanted my time back. It never went anywhere. Deeply disappointing. I never get to do much reading during the school year - and I hate it when I "waste" my reading time.
Anyway, I'll try to stop rambling for now!- What I should be doing!
He sees a problem with 10 pairs of shoes?10 isn't too many, especially taking in to account we HAVE TO have dress shoes, tennis shoes, dressy sandals, casual sandals, beach shoes, house shoes...the list goes on and on. And we can't be expected to wear the same color with everything. And, your trip is much longer than just a week. All things considered, 10 pairs of shoes seems too few!

Can you tell I'm shoe girl, too!![]()
I'm excited about a 3 p.m. meet on the first day. I had so much fun at the last DIS meet on the Magic. For those who have never done this, there is a lot of flexibility on items to exchange. Some people brought gift bags full of items and some people brought one thing to exchange, like a postcard from their hometown or a pencil. It's just fun getting to meet people in person vs. over the DIS.
I'm also glad to see more frequest posts. Is everyone getting more excited? I booked this trip January 08, so it seemed like forever to wait, and now it seems more real.![]()
Thanks Kim yes I had a lovely valentines day. I got a lovely bouquet and we went out last night for an Indian meal.
Ah - Seattle - as in Sleepless in Seattle. I link a lot of states / towns to the films I've heard off it helps me to remember.
We live in the North East of England - No where near London - infact we are far closer to Scotland than London. We live right on the coast which we both love.
