August 19, 2007 Disney Wonder

Hi everyone,
The dates for 2009 were released today~~IMHO not anything extraordinary. I was was hoping for "BAM" pixiedust:
so we moved our rebooking for Oct 25, 2008. Got a great price for Cat 4. Yes I am a bad parent. Great price....Kids miss school...:teacher:
Price wins!! :rolleyes1

Halloween on the High Seas

did anyone rebook for 2009?

Dana

Hi Dana,

We booked two connecting Cat. 6's for the November 7, 2009 Eastern Special Cruise with St. Croix.

Taking MIL along this time.

This means that they will be out of school also.

Joe

naughty parent....:sad2: Doesn't go down well here...taking out of school.Ironically our kids are actually on holiday that week..its half term. I am also on holiday...buy no disney cruise for us:sad2: Airfare just tooo expensive! we will be lucky to get to France next year:confused3

HOWEVER...we have just booked for 2009:cool1:
August 22nd to be exact....one week ....Magic....western Carribbean(always fancied Mexico)...so the count down is on! 20 months...think I have time to plan:lmao: (actually...to save would be more accurate!) We even have our cabins...lol. 3. The kids are on their own (although not officially) So i feel a RAS package coming on:rolleyes1

DH has posted a thread...to see if anyone else is as sad as we are.I need a reason to get my well padded a** to work in the morning...especially during the long winter months!

And speaking of Winter....how is everyones Christmas prep. going. I thought I had done most of my shopping whilst on holiday ( and my luggage was testimony to that beleive me!)...but no...still got loads to do! I actually have Christmas off this year...well...Christmad day at any rate..What do you buy your inlaws? I was thinking a few Oxfam Chickens or something. The gift that keeps on giving...the true meaning of Christmas...a warm fuzzy glow...but NO ACTUAL PRESENT ! got to give it some thought! got 19 days left ahhhhhhhhhh....:santa:

Hello All,

I contacted my oldest daughter's school and they said that they would not receive an excused absence for a November cruise. I moved the date to August 29th Eastern (St. Marteen). Anyone else interested? Up north we don't start school until after Labor Day so it worked out great!

Joe

Actually the great price was a deal with my TA. I am in talks with her about my rebooking discount for 2009 dates. If it works out it would be late august too! :goodvibes

As far as the kids go~~ they go to a very small school. (DD's class has 10 kids and DS has 14). It is a public school but is seems like a small private school. On the whole, they seem to be very understanding. The kids missed 3 days with the past cruise. Both kids are A students and test above grade level--that helps relieve any of my guilt.:rolleyes1 As DS gets older I won't pull him from school. 2 1/2 years until high school~so its now or never.

Christmas shopping is 99% done. Just some finishing touches.

Come with us.!!..Aug 22nd, Eastern Caribbean...we have gone 'down' to Cat 6, but we are having 2 rooms (kids in Cat 11 across the hall:cool1: ) Costs the same as 1x Cat 4 ! My DM and DB had a cat 6 last time...and it was fine.

Great pic Maria- wish we were still there! :beach: Any more pics? Would love to see them.

2009 is My 40th(ugh) (Aug. 30th)

After missing one week in 2008 we will probably go Aug 15th or the 22th~~ that would be a blast to be with you Maria! We had a Cat.6 It was just fine for the time you spend in a cabin.

Don't call me super woman ~I am FAR from it! Just a short list. The kids are old enough~one large gift is good. (that & upcoming cruise)

Just want to wish everyone A Very Merry Christmas!:grouphug:
And a Happy, heathy New Year.

Dana,

Maria has started a trip report, link below. There are some photo's on there. I have also loaded some on Photobucket under the name Moninc. I assume you can search for photo's by user name there.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone.

Dave

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy New Year! I didn't realize alot of you were still on, but it's nice to still keep in touch. We are out on 2009 right now..we were trying to get 8/15 Tortola, but with three families going not everyone could get the room they wanted. We are currently booked for the 9/27/08 double dipt to Costa Maya and Cozumel. Yes, we are taking the kids out of school for three days (they have 2 days off already that week). Wish we were going with you in 2009...but you never know. It's early yet!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE FROM THE UK

Big Ben has just struck midnight and the fireworks are going off here in Stafford and accross the UK judging by the TV.

We can now officially say we are sailing again Next Year:banana: :)

I was hoping for a special Thanksgiving itinerary in 2009. . . but no luck. So we'll be happy with a standard Eastern departing on DS's 9th birthday: 11/21/09!:woohoo:

DH and I will celebrate 15 years of marriage in 2008 so we booked a 3-night quick getaway for GROWN-UPS ONLY in the Fall. Trying to keep my nose off the boards enough to not get to know our cruise-mates and want to spend all my time with them, LOL! :rotfl:

Hello Everyone! Looks like we will have the chance of bumping into some of you again...we just booked for August 15, 2009!

It seems so far out but at least it feels good to have something to plan for again.

To those of you who are going on the Magic before then, be sure to write some comparisons between the 4-night and the 7-night.
