I agree with you. It is a great opportunity to enjoy the ship without the crowds but unfortunately I know my husband is going to want to get off the ship even if it is to walk a little in town, especially after being on the ship for two days. Crusing is not his thing. I can do without walking aimlessly in Nassau.

Get your guy to hit one of the bar showing one of the sports games the night before the bahamas - he might hook up with some other guys who want to walk around tha bahamas with wives that don't.....

that way he gets a travel buddy and you get to stay on ship - and your both happy.

We are going to get a day pass at one of the local hotels with a pool - and of course pack a stateroom service lunch curtesy of DCL ;)

That is a good idea. He is going to start to think I am trying to ditch him. I am looking into the possibility of him going golfing at one of the Disney golf courses while we are at Disney. I figured he can go play and then meet up afterwards.

No sorry as of now they are only showing Cabana #20 on Serenity Bay as available. Keep checking someone may cancel.

Welcome to Kristen707 and family!

And a big shout out to fellow Canadians - the FoxFam5. We are from Ottawa and HUGE Montreal Canadiens fans. I am so happy to add you to the Fish Extender. Is your first time participating in the FE?

Disney1Fan2002 -tell your son that this cruise will rock. There will be at least three Canadian teen age boys (14, 15 and 16) from Ottawa and Fox Fam5 has a DS age 17. Sounds like a great group!

I will update the website to include the new cruisers.

Someone suggested a meet. What about a thirty minute "say hello" in some lounge before the ship sets sail? The kids/teens can meet. Any ideas?

My sons each received an excursion coupon for Christmas. They will choose something at Atlantis on the Nassau Day.

Check out the website.

This will be our first FE but we have done our research and actually already starting getting the gifts together. We would be happy to have a quick meet with anyone interested.

Thanks for the great welcome!

So your saying platinum and concierge grab up all the cabanas before anyone else has a chance, or does DCL hold some for onboard reservations?

This may come to a shock to some people, but not everyone in the world has internet access. I wish companies would realize this and make it more fair.

I'm not sure if they hold any back or how many there are, #'s 13 and 16 don't show at all, 20 is available and the rest are showing reserved. I don't think that there is a #13 cabana, I don't know about 16. I have no interest in getting a cabana so I've never looked that deeply into them.

How was the Fantasy? We are booked for Nov 2013. DO you have a preference in ship?

I booked our excursions today. I booked us on the 7:15am bus to Epcot. It looks like all the times slots are still available for all the parks, even Magic Kingdom. Just thought you all would want the FYI.

I really liked the Fantasy, the changes Disney made from the Dream make it much nicer. The adult area and added water features in particular were improved. It is a lot larger and the flow of moving from one area of the ship to another is more difficult than on the smaller ships. There is more to do on the Fantasy than the Magic and Wonder - Aquaduck, Midship Detective Agency, Satellite Falls and the new shows in Animators Palate and Walt Disney Theater are all great.

To answer your question, I don't think I have a preference in ship now, when I'm on one I notice things that I miss about the other.

Thank you! I keep counting the days until 12:00am May 19! I think I have my itinerary ready. The date needs to just get here. Just curious, is Epcot the closest park to MK? I am wondering if I can not book an early MK bus, can I book an early Epcot bus and then go to MK. We have a 10:20 breakfast reservation at Cinderella's palace.

Hi. We're booked B2B on August12 & Aug 17th. :cool1::). Would love to join in FE and pin trading. It's me, DH, DD (13) and DS (9). Can't wait. Is anyone else doing the Animal Kingdom Safari excursion?

You can take the monorail from Epcot to MK but you have to switch trains at the Ticket and Transportation Center, if you are lucky with timing you could make it in 20 minutes but I'd count on at least 45. The bus should drop you off in front of Epcot so you could go straight to the monorail.

Thank you so much and sorry for all the questions. I do have another one. When you book the WDW excurision, do you book a return trip or can you leave from any park?

Woke up this morning to this atthe top of my reservation page on DCL website:

Only 99 days until your cruise sets sail!

Double digits!!!:cool1:

Just an FYI, Animal Kingdom has early open that day. (yeah, bet all the WDW guests will be happy to see bus loads of cruisers being dropped off..LOL). The earliest bus out is 6:30am. We changed from Epcot at 7:15 to AK 6:30.

All the parks close at 9pm.(except AK, that closes at 7) There are no EMHs for any of the parks that day. :confused3 Maybe Disney will leave MK open just for us! riiiigggghhttt. LOL
