Good evening everyone!!!!

Congratulations Jen, Paul and Harry on your races today!!!

I had the most amazing week with our grandaughters!! Unfortunately they all left today and I miss them already!

Thanks!! There were a few folks puking at the finish line... I think the race temp of about 68-70 was a shock for people who'd been training in temps in the 40s recently. Thankfully I was able to hold it together... another few yards though and I would have been done for!!

Are you enjoying this beautiful weekend?!

Glad that you were able to hold it together and that you were ok with the temps..!!

The temps. were AWESOME here it was 73!! Loved it.....We spent the entire day shoveling 6 tons of stone for around our pool deck.. It was back-breaking but looks Great. Glad we were able to get this done so early this year. Tomorrow, is going to be GREAT again!! So Bruce is going to bring out the patio furniture and get the trampoline set up for the kids. So between the new bounce-house, swing-set, trampoline and pool they should be good for the spring/summer...........LOL!!!

Hey Candy............ Glad you had FUN with the kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations :cool1: way to go !

Dh runs, and scuba dives whilst im not the fittest of people.
I admire those who do it - Well done :thumbsup2

Thanks! DH and I were really not "fit" people. We started running in January and there are days where I am not really sure why we continue! :rotfl:

Awesome Jen, Congrats!! Love the outfit! My dh would approve!

Thanks Erika! I am all about finding the best outfit for the run!

Congratulation

Hope you enjoy your beer too

Thanks! :goodvibes The beer was very satisfying after the run! Paul and I had a great toast to our successful run!

Jen - Congrats on your race today!!

I had a pace goal I wanted to achieve today and I beat that by 2 seconds - very good for me! My personal best at 5K was set when I was 19 years old so any chance of hitting that time again is LONNNNGGGG gone! :rotfl: So I shoot for pace goals and little things like that.

Two things went wrong for me today. One - I ate within 2 hours of the start (it was just a power bar and a banana). I don't like to eat 2-3 hours before a race, but I got up late and felt a totally empty stomach would be bad. No cramps during race, but let's just say something terrible almost happened in the finish chute!! :rotfl2::scared1: Second - I went out too fast! I kept reminding myself over and over again, but I was 35 seconds ahead of my pace at 1 mile. Combined with my tummy issues - I gave that all back over the last km or so! :rotfl:

On the positive - no problems with my knees and my time was respectable.

Congratulations to you too Harry! Great job on achieving a pace that you had wanted! You had much warmer weather...it was probably 20° here this morning. It was really cold while we waited for the race but once we started, I was good.

I had a few issues as well. First, I had loaded my skirt pocket with my iPod, my cell phone and a few small things. Well, it made my skirt heavy (and I have lost a lot of weight so it is a bit big) and the skirt kept slipping down. I ended up pulling the darn thing up over and over today. Then, it was so cold that I thought wearing tights would be a good plan...it wasn't. I was WAY TOO HOT by the time we passed the first mile that I had to stop and take them off. I had cut the tights off so that they were easy to get off but I still had to stop along the side of the road, yank on the stupid things and get them off. I have learned that I have not tested my running clothes enough!

CONGRATS, Jen, Paul and Harry................

Jen I love the outfit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am soo proud of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harry, glad that your race went well too!! I was laughing while I was reading your post!!

Thanks Kristin! I am already planning my race outfit for my race in April and then thinking ahead to what Jude and I will wear to the Princess!

Paul and I were pretty proud of ourselves today. :goodvibes

Sounds like you had a busy day! Glad you were able to enjoy the beautiful temperatures though. We are still below freezing but I am hoping for a warm up soon!

Hope you can enjoy a day of rest tomorrow after working so hard today!

Tomorrow, is supposed to be not as warm as today but still VERY nice!!

I can't wait to get outside again. I need to go and check on my parents house and pick-up the groceries. Our local store is doing a neat thing you can shop on-line and then you just pull up and they put it all into your car. It is the BEST time saver ever. So we have been doing it the last few weeks. I love it.

Night everyone!! We are beat from working out-side all day today!!

Hi everyone :)
As usual I am fashionably late and show up when everyone is leaving...
Dinner at East Side Marios, little late for DW's birthday outing but better than doing it midweek. I am stuffed but left room for a drink or two :lmao:
Congrats on the runners, Candy sorry your grandchild free again, Kristin cool on the backyard stuff!

Hey buddy!! I am late too, watched a movie with Alexa.
Congrats to you too Harry, I can't run at all!
Candy you can borrow my kids! They aren't cute and little, but they might work. But I suppose since they aren't much younger than yours, it's not quite the same?

Morning all , (or for most of you good night),

Happy Sunday.

I must admit I'm a bit jealous of you having the 70's weather. Yesterday here in the north of England it was 42 - today if we are lucky we might hit the 50's:cool1:

Today is a big day for DH. I must admit im a bit anxious. DH scuba dives, and in December he went to Eygpt, however the first day of his holiday he perforated his eardrum.

Today will be the first time he is diving since the accident.

I will be pleased when he's back tonight;)

Last week was his 40th birthday. My friend from work who is amazing made his birthday cake . I was amazed at the detail - see if you can spot Nemo (she knows we are big disney fans )

Everything was edible as it was sugar paste - what do you think?

Have a great Sunday :cloud9:

That cake is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

Love the detail and even found Nemo :lmao:

I am glad to find another European on this cruise! :goodvibes

The cake is amazing!!!

No need to be jealous of our temps, it was 33 on Friday and 38 yesterday! Not fun after 64 on Thursday. Supposed to be low 50's today though, I sure hope so.

Oohhh can we borrow them? We're going to have a fair bit of work to get the house ready to put on the market and then there's packing and loading the moving van etc etc etc :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

I love that cake and I found Nemo. He's in the eni...eneminy, enenemin...sigh...he's over there on the right....

Well I'm sure the runners behind you were entertained by your slipping skirt! ;)

Very unscientific method - but I add like 15 to 20 degrees to the temp and kinda figure that's what it's going to feel like.

That sounds like a GREAT way to shop! I would love it as it would cut out all the extra things I think I need once I get inside the store! :lmao:

Hi everyone :)
As usual I am fashionably late and show up when everyone is leaving...

I have been going to bed early this past week. Not sure why I have been so tired but I have been. I am hoping to be able to stay up a bit later to chat with everyone because it seems like everyone here comes on late many nights.

Candy you can borrow my kids! They aren't cute and little, but they might work. But I suppose since they aren't much younger than yours, it's not quite the same?

Oh...Candy can borrow my kids too! :lmao:

The cake was absolutely incredible! What a fun cake for a celebration!!!

I hope that DH's ear has healed and that he is able to enjoy his diving.

Erika - Isn't it gross here again? I am hoping for warmer weathers again this week. I did not like how cold it was on Friday and Saturday. Today has not been bad but I am hoping to have warm weather again soon!!!

Very unscientific method - but I add like 15 to 20 degrees to the temp and kinda figure that's what it's going to feel like.

My biggest fear was that I was entertaining all the spectators as well as the runners behind me! :scared1: I will be pinning my skirt to my shirt from now on!

I love your unscientific method. I usually do act like it is warmer than it really is but I think I let the cold wind scare me a bit and underestimated how much I would warm up.

I love the cake. AWESOME cake....

Candy, I can send Hanna and Hope over to you for a week or more....They would love to come!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:
